I have received many questions about my gel polish from Depend which is hardened under an LED lamp to make it last longer.
Most questions are about removal, is it difficult to remove and how to do it?
I removed my previous varnish by waiting so long that you could remove it in a whole piece. This is not really recommended as the nail can be damaged underneath. But it was very quick and easy! In a minute or so, all the paint was gone.
But there is a special removal that I tested this time, it takes longer but is as I said much kinder to the nails.
I was going to show you how to do it!
1. Tear a few small pieces of aluminum foil.
2. Apply a layer of remover on the entire nail.
The remover is a liquid, quite a bit of gel so it does not run. Big plus!
3. Then wrap the nail in the foil.
4. Wrap all fingers, and wait for about 10 minutes.
I did one hand at a time, partly so that you can do other things at the same time, but it is a bit difficult to do the other hand with wrapped fingers.
5. Then they are just to scrape off the varnish with the stick that is included in the starter kit!
On some nails you did not get rid of everything immediately, then you just have to redo the foil wrapping again.
All have different qualities on the nails, but mine were worn even if I pulled off the nail polish by hand or used the remover.
I will probably cheat a little and remove the nail polish myself when it has come off properly. But if I want to change color before I notice that the nail polish has released enough at the edges, I will use the remover.
But if you are "good" and are very afraid of the nails, you should use the remover every time :)
Hope the post was helpful!
