NYX has a makeup series called Lingerie that contains matte liquid lipsticks and creamy eye shadows. I got them in a goodie bag a while ago and it has itched my fingers ever since! In today's makeup I have tested both of these in a down to earth look and thought to show it and at the same time give a first-use review :)

NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick:

Application - If you apply a thin layer, it is very nice on the lips, but with this shade, I think that more applications are needed to get a comprehensive result. At least on me who has such colorful lips even unmade up that shines through. Dries fairly quickly and then you can easily apply another layer.

Feeling - With more layers, the feeling is quite dry, not as terribly-dry as the Full Throttle lipsticks from NYX that I can not wear on the lips, but quite dry just like most matte liquid lipsticks. I personally prefer softer matte lipstick, but this works without problems anyway, but I recommend a little lip balm underneath.

Color - I have the shade Embellishment and I LOVE it! So good looking! Perfect gray-pink beige (or what do you say?). Super nice!

Sustainability - Holds incredibly well on the outer lips, but on the inside it becomes dry and itchy after about 3 hours, which either disappears when you eat or looks snuff dry. Then you have to take a piece of paper and remove a little and improve again. And it goes well as long as you are aware of it :)

NYX Member Lingerie Eye Shadow:

Application - There is quite a lot of cream on the applicator immediately so I recommend scraping off a bit on the edge before applying directly on the eyelid, but it went well anyway. Wait to fade until it has started to dry, which it does quite quickly, then it is easy to get a soft fade. I do this with a separate soft brush.

Feeling - Immediately when I apply it, it feels wet and quite strong on the eyelid, can be good to know for you with more sensitive skin on the eyelids. It sniffed a little towards the eye when you had it on the lower lash line as well, but not very much.

Color - I have the shade Night Glow which looks a little darker in the sleeve than it gets on the skin, but it is a really nice mink brown color that becomes metallic / shimmery on the eyelid. It becomes most metallic where applied without fading, but in fading it becomes duller. In my close-ups, the fading even looks darker, but it is not in reality it is only the light that is reflected so in the picture :)

Sustainability - I tested without eye shadow primer in this make-up to test the durability, some cream eye shadows sit so well that it becomes like eye shadow and primer in the same. At the end of the day, however, it had slipped away in the globe line so I recommend eye shadow primer below (have not tested with it yet).

The cheapest are both at Kicks where the lipsticks cost SEK 89 and the eye shadows SEK 79.

The eyes were incredibly fast to make! Did not have much time but still had time to do this eye makeup.

  1. Snyyygt! You have such beautiful eyebrows. Have a question about aftercare for permanent make-up. Should you lubricate with helosan while the crust is left? Have you heard that you do not need to lubricate, is that correct? How long does it usually take before the crust comes off? How to wash your face during the healing period? Do it now if there is water on the eyebrows, I think. Thanks for a great blog! :-)

    • Thanks! :) Yes you should, we recommend it anyway, but it is important not to lubricate too much because if it is wet all the time, the crust can be like a gegga only and it is of course not good. Morning and evening are good enough and once in the middle of the day if you feel it is needed.

The healing takes a week and the return visit can be done already after 2 weeks, but for many the crusts come loose already after 3-4 days but it is very individual. There will not be very clear crusts either because only narrow lines are tattooed.

You should be careful with water because water is dehydrating, but it does not matter if there is a little water on when you wash your face or shower. But you should not rinse under water for long. I usually take makeup remover on cotton or makeup napkins and wipe off the makeup around before I wash my face and then do not have cleanser on the tattoo if you wash with water afterwards. The tattoo itself I clean with lukewarm water on a cotton pad and just iron over.
