A while ago I got a press sample on micellar water from Nivea which I have been testing for a while now and thought I would give you my review :)

What is micellar water?
Many people do not know much about what micellar water is, but I think it will change and become more and more popular very soon! There is quite a lot of research and technology around micellar water, but in short, it can be said that it is toner that works a bit like a magnet and absorbs dirt and impurities from the pores.

At the same time, it contains caring and moisturizing ingredients, so together it is an all-in-one product that both cleanses and moisturizes the skin.

It is also a makeup remover, I think it removes makeup well but it is not really possible to compare with a regular makeup remover, so I personally use it mainly as a toner. But maybe it depends on how much makeup you also have, I'm not known for using a little makeup if you say so;)

This is how Nivea Sensitive 3-in-1 Micellar Clearing Water is described HERE:
“Cleans, removes make-up and moisturizes at the same time. Thanks to the innovative micellar technology, the product cleans gently but very efficiently ”

How to use micellar water?
Moisten a cotton ball and clean the face, it should not be rinsed off with water.

I usually use it both in the evening and in the morning. I have oily but at the same time very sensitive skin, so I should be a little careful with water as water is dehydrating, but must also clean the skin properly due to the oiliness. So in the evening I use it after I have washed off the makeup with makeup remover and water, as an extra cleanser, and in the morning I use it instead of cleanser, so only micellar water and then my usual day cream.

So I see it as a great complement to my daily skin care routine, but many who are a little more "sloppy" with their skin care than I am can see micellar water as a quick all-in-one product instead of another skin care routine, if do you understand what I mean? Since it both cleanses and moisturizes, this product is basically enough :)

What do I think of Nivea's micellar water?
I like Nivea Micellar Water, it smells almost nothing and feels very gentle on the skin. The skin feels moisturized without becoming sticky or oily, which is perfect if you want to start putting on make-up immediately afterwards.

However, I do not think it feels quite as effective as Paese micellar water that I otherwise use, because if I first wash off the makeup with regular cleaning and water, and then use micellar water from Paese, you can see from the white cotton that it will even more impurities from the pores as it looks a little dirty. But with Nivea's micellar water, the cotton is still completely white then, which means that it does not feel as effective.

But when I use the water from Nivea in the morning or in the middle of the day (if I have not put on make-up), you really see in the cotton that a lot of dirt has been absorbed, so it is absolutely not ineffective :)

It has received positive reviews HERE and now costs only SEK 60 there (ord. price is SEK 75) so it is absolutely affordable and it's not just me who likes it :)
