\n\u201cReally recognize me in Janie's description. Lipstick is run for me, it just smears and flows out so the edges become uneven. The lip liner certainly sits but usually dries out the lips so it looks awful after a few hours. :( Is it the wrong lip pencil or is there a magic trick to avoid dry chapped lips after a few hours? That shade is absolutely crazy nice. Intense and dramatic but still harmonious in some way. \u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I got these two comments on this makeup<\/a>\u00a0a few days ago. I answered Janie and wrote that the lips (in the post she commented on) are a lip pencil applied to the entire lip, so it is not sticky at all and lasts great.<\/p>\n

Today I have that pen on me again, and therefore realized that I must of course share my tips on this with the lip pen! :)<\/p>\n

\n1. First and foremost, it depends on what kind of pen you have, some become super dry while others may be a little for<\/em> creamy to be called lip pencil in my opinion. A middle ground is best, and Dr. Hauschka's lipsticks<\/a> is a good mix between dry and creamy, so they sit well without getting so crunchy.<\/p>\n

2. But even though the pen does not make the lips crunchy dry, it can still feel dry, because it is a dry product and if you have dry lips before, it will be a dry feeling. What I usually do then is to put on a little, a little lip balm before! Paese Balm Lip Gloss <\/a>is perfect for this, you only need superduperlite to get that soft feeling on the lip, and then you get no shine or color that bothers either, just a moisturized lip. Then it is super easy to paint with the pen and at the same time get soft, nice and moisturized lips.<\/p>\n

And should more hydration be needed during the day, it is also very easy to apply more lip gloss (still so little that it does not give any shine) and then improve a little with the pen at the same time. Then the skin on the lips stays soft and supple (and good-looking!) From morning to evening :)<\/p>\n

It was a very simple make-up yesterday when I went very early in the morning and got a little lack of time. Volume mascara, thin eyeliner, glittery highlighter in the corner of the eye and dark lip pencil is then one of my safe cards!<\/p>\n
