My favorite color right now is a shade that I have had a hard time putting into words, a kind of mixture of rust red, burgundy, brown and purple. And it is a shade that I have mainly loved on makeup but also on interior design, clothes and hair colors.<\/p>\n

Then I read about Color of the Year 2015 and then I finally got a name for the shade - Marsala! Did not know before what the shade had for name :)<\/p>\n

Marsala was chosen Color of the Year 2015 by Pantone<\/a> and looks like this:<\/p>\n

Nice, is not it? I would also say that my hair color is Marsala, although it varies a lot depending on how diligent I have been with my hair wrap. Sometimes the marsala is more in the pink-purple direction :)<\/p>\n

Anyway, today's makeup is inspired by the shade marsala, hope you like the look!<\/p>\n

Fill in the eyebrows with it Benecos Natural Brow Pencil<\/a> (Brown)<\/p>\n

Then apply gently and thinly with the lip pencil Dr. Hauschka Lip Liner<\/a> (Eggplant) on the eyebrows, so that they get a more marsala shade.<\/p>\n

  1. Eyeshadow primer around the entire eye, Pixi Eye Bright Primer<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Dip Nanshy Blending brush<\/a> in transparent powder and sweep along the globe line where the fade will be (not on the entire eyelid). This means that the colored shadow is not as sharp at the edges there, which makes it easier to get a nice fade later.<\/li>\n
  3. Dab eye shadow around the entire eye with Nanshy Tapered Crease Brush<\/a>, Yag Mineral eyeshadow<\/a> (Pink Berry)<\/li>\n
  4. Fade out the edges a little more\u00a0Nanshy Blending brush<\/a><\/li>\n
  5. Black mascara on the lashes, Magnetic Lash Mascara<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    I love everything about this look actually, so simple and yet so stylish and well thought out. If I had not had the profession I have, I would have looked like this every single day right now, I think.<\/p>\n
