I who was so pissed last week and would get so much done now, so I got sick again (!) And have had a pretty low week. Typical!<\/p>\n

I have not been the most productive knife in the box but here comes a little Sunday post a week anyway! :)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Sick again<\/strong>
\nI stayed healthy throughout September but now the sore throat and fever struck again. So for the 4th time in 5 months! I had exactly the same in June, July, August and now in October.<\/p>\n

I have had a high fever, 39-40 degrees and the worst was during the weekend, so I have still been able to work during the week but it has been long mornings, alvedon and warm slippers in the office :)<\/p>\n

I must emphasize that I have been very good at resting this time! I have not been as efficient \/ focused as usual when I worked, but I kicked those thoughts away and start again next week!<\/p>\n

Now I have at least received penicillin, they have not given it before because it has always passed by itself. But I can hardly be sick for a week every month, so to avoid getting it again, we treat it now. Keep your fingers crossed that I'll avoid this later!<\/p>\n

They took a blood sample to check some general values as well, because I had a fever problem even before it started to show on my throat. In addition to being healthy in September, I have had a fever every month since March!<\/p>\n

Everything with blood tests is so uncomfortable though, wow it does not like it at all.<\/p>\n

I sent that picture to Annika on snapchat and the next day she came to me with such a little consolation:<\/p>\n

Rent valid? :) A soft patch that you can pat a little nicely on, so sweet, I was unreasonably happy hahaha.<\/p>\n

Work from home<\/strong>
\nLast Friday I took the opportunity to work from home because there were many in place at the salon anyway and I needed to take some pictures for a blog post about skin care.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

When the post was finished (you can read it here<\/a>) so I continued to work at the computer with a face mask and cat kiss!<\/p>\n

It always looks like "is that even a job?<\/em>\u201cWhen I sit and work like this at home and look completely free, but the fact is that I become much more efficient if I can vary with jobs at the salon and jobs at home. If I get more done when I'm home one day, I do not work less just because I have it extra cozy :)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

There is something special about a bathrobe and face mask, I get relaxed as soon as I look in the mirror :)<\/p>\n

Tired<\/del>\u00a0- Relaxed<\/strong>
\nIt is extremely common to say that you are tired, above all you hear others say that they are tired all the time. Not always in a negative way, but for example that you stretch after a good lunch and say "oh how tired I got now". A while ago, I started thinking about how often I tell my brain that I am tired and am completely convinced that it affects the brain so that you get more tired than you really are. Instead, I have started using the word "relaxed" when I am not so "badly tired". For example, when I yawn in the car on the way to work and Miska asks "are you tired?" so I answer "no I am relaxed" :)<\/p>\n

I think it feels really nice actually! Too often you are not tired but just calm and maybe even harmonious, and reminding yourself that you are relaxed is probably very useful in today's society with all the stress and excitement. As a relaxation exercise just by exchanging one word for another!<\/p>\n

Dilemma for a kind boss<\/strong>
\nThis week a dilemma pounded into my arms. All makeup artists who were scheduled around Christmas and New Year have asked for leave. So the alternative was to either have closed for 1.5 weeks or have to choose who to say no to.<\/p>\n

1. I want to be a good manager who gives time off, two of the people also have families with children.
\n2. But when the customers are free + want to be nice before the holidays, we have an extra lot of bookings, so I really think that all<\/em> should work this time. Preferably the red days as well really, it would have been worth it even though there will be higher wage costs.<\/p>\n

Kind boss or good entrepreneur was the question then!<\/p>\n

Now I fixed it so that our makeup artist Lisa could line up and work extra long in the holidays + work on New Year's Eve. So if I take bookings as well, we are at least 2 working. Then it is not completely closed in any case!<\/p>\n

So all 3 other makeup artists got off and I am a kind boss, which I hope is the best long term strategy. I want the staff to feel good! :)<\/p>\n

It also resulted in me having to skip a Christmas cruise with the family myself, but that's how it is to have my own business. It will be cozy to spice up our good customers before New Year's Eve too \u2665<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Appreciation for my kindness I got in any case! \u2665 When I got to work last Thursday, this box of chocolates was on my chair and a cute card from Ida. I was so happy!<\/p>\n

It's so nice with people who show their gratitude and who do not take things for granted. There are some people who devour the whole hand and start demanding more if you give them the little finger (note generally now do not talk specifically about staff haha) and then it suddenly becomes energy-intensive to be helpful. But you can never be too kind to people who appreciate you! :)<\/p>\n

I will munch on this box of chocolates with a clear conscience some evening soon \u2665<\/p>\n

Graphic toolbox<\/strong>
\nMiska often laughs at me because I am so extremely bad at graphic design haha!<\/p>\n

Annika has made a small "graphic toolbox" with pictures, stickers, banners, backgrounds etc. that you can cut and paste with when you make a type of advertising image for the company. Without it, my life would have been harder.<\/p>\n

Next week we will publish a competition in our social media where we will draw 5 eyebrow picks and paint at the salon. I opened the toolbox, chose a background, a star with our logo on it, wrote COMPETITION large and then I pasted pictures of eyebrows that we fixed at the salon. If it turned out well? Miska got a good laugh anyway;)<\/p>\n

Look how professional it turned out (note I'm ironic haha) but that should be enough :)<\/p>\n

Not my strongest side! At least not if it should not take so long that I do not have time for the slightly more important stuff;) I could probably have gotten something shitty together if I had to sit for half a day haha but it is not possible!<\/p>\n

Unmade all week<\/strong>
\nSince I was nauseous and went to bed every morning, I did not do a single step-by-step make-up until Friday night. That's why you only got one make-up post this week for that look I did last week.<\/p>\n

I took it again last Friday, however, when it was both color, glitter and curly hair!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

My dad invited me to dance so we hit the roof! Perfect end to a tough week!<\/p>\n

In addition to this + customers at the salon, I have, among other things, also fixed the campaign pictures for November, had an unusual amount of emails to respond to and puzzled with the schedule for one of our makeup artists who will go up in working hours.<\/p>\n

Next week I will be alert every day and get a lot done! And so it will be! ;)<\/p>\n
