Rose water is a typical product that you do not think you need until you have tested it. "What is rose water?"  Many of you are thinking now, these are distilled rose petals!
Distilled water is purified water, so salts, heavy metals and such foreign substances that are found in our tap water have been removed. In short, water is distilled by boiling it and only catching the water molecules in the steam. And if you have rose petals in the water you distill, it will be rose water! (If I have understood it correctly in any case)
Rose water acts as a toner and prepares the skin for the face cream by neutralizing the pH value. It is also cooling, invigorating, slightly astringent and increases the blood supply to the skin. It can be sprayed on the face even when you have put on make-up, like a moisturizing face mist, and can also be good immediately after you have put on make-up if you have got a very powdery base, it removes the powdery feeling.
You can also use rose water in cooking, or if you need a liquid to mix things with, for example, beauty products and the like.
Loelle sells organic rose water from the city of Kalaat M´Gouna in Morocco. Costs SEK 139.
I like this very much, mainly because it is so nice to spray on the skin. The spray is perfect and gives soft tiny drops that cool the skin without it becoming uncomfortably cold. Great in the summer heat! :)
The scent maybe you can guess;) it smells of roses and Miska described it as "old man" haha. But I who do not usually like flower scents actually think that this is good, it smells so mild.
So in other words, I give a thumbs up to this, good bottle, good water and good that it is organic!
By the way, did you know that rose water is still used when building mosques? Then rose water is mixed in the mortar, so that the building smells when the sun is on. Smart! :) When I get rich and build my own house, I will do so firmly with lily of the valley, good!
Hug! :)
