My business week v. 15

Hey corner! Another week has passed, it's fast! :)

Planning a summer event at Creative Makeup
I already said after Christmas to Miska “we can not do this year's summer event extra great ?! ” and we are working on that fully now :)

During the week I have set up a plan with what the evening should look like, a to do list and areas of responsibility so that we are all helped (both what we can do now, what should be done just before and also what tasks everyone has during themselves the event).

And so I designed an invitation that we published last Thursday, I was shocked that so many sniffed right away! While I was inside the osa document, I saw new names that were filled in haha. Already the same evening, 40 people had unsaid and there is 1.5 months left until the event, if it continues to fill up as it does now, we are considering making another event night! We have limited space but you do not want to say no to so many either :)

The theme for the evening is "beauty is wellness" and the atmosphere itself will be summery and tropical. Here is an inspirational picture that I showed everyone, from various events that I myself have been to:

Flowers and summery signage with products, and we will have a nice balloon wall as well that everyone can take pictures in front of and have actually ordered balloons with our logo on!

The evening begins with mingling while we wait for all the guests, after which we will give a relatively short presentation. Annika will talk about beauty being wellness and I will, as usual at our events, hold a make-up demo! Exactly what I am going to show is not completely nailed yet, do you have any suggestions on what you would have liked to see, I am happy to receive tips, I have quite a few ideas myself but I can not stand and put on makeup for any length of time but it must go quite fast and be interesting even if you as a guest are a short distance away.

Then the mingling continues and we will have lots of summery snacks and drinks, great offers on treatments and products and help everyone with personal advice, test shades and answer questions. And everyone who buys for a luxurious goodie bag!

Then the evening ends with presenting winners in our raffles and we will have great prizes, I can hint about;)

I sent this picture to someone on Snapchat with a good eye for shape and color, sometimes I can become so insecure when I sit and do design things that I need to ask around a bit about tips and response. Love the modern society we live in haha!

And here is the end result:

Fint va? It proved to be attractive because so many want to come :)

If any of you want to come to the event, you can sniff in the form here! It is of course free and everyone is welcome, but we have a limited number of places.

Studio work on Wednesdays
I have not worked from home as much as I really want lately, and that is because I always get such decision anxiety "is this a good day not to be at the salon?" etc. But now I have therefore nailed that every Wednesday is homework days!

This Wednesday I photographed my lip tattoo on which I intended to post before and after pictures. I photographed make-up tips step by step that will be a beauty guide post in the webshop, and a make-up as usual as well. In addition, I took photos before and after with a new decolorization that LÓréal Paris has sent a press release on.

Then I washed off the make-up and sat with hair wrap and face mask and went through the pictures and fixed some other computer work in the sun on our terrace. I enjoy life!

Evening meeting with the whole team and BIG plans were born!
Every other Thursday we have a hug meeting where we list improvements, report how the economy looks, repeat our goal and focus, etc. And every now and then we make these more inspiring and dreamy meetings where it is not as upset but more talk and life :) And then we order food and hang out ♥

This is what it looks like at the top of our action plan where we list all the improvements that need to be made:

Countdown to June 30 when our goal picture should be achieved :) You can see how the seconds are counted down haha!

"What can we do in the next 2 weeks?" it says then and there I write down everything that is said and who should do what :)

Among other things, there were a lot of ideas about our event, of course, but above all a new idea was born that I thought I could actually tell because it is nothing secret, we will start investigating the matter but it is not completely nailed if we start the plan or not. But if we drive, we drive big!

It started with me waiting for the food to start showing pictures of my dream houses I have found in Spain and in Mexico haha, and then Annika said that she was also eager to be able to work in Spain (we have not even talked to each other about this) fixed type rent in a salon and tattoo. Just to get away from the winter without having to take a long vacation. Miska and I have thought that we should be able to work remotely via the computer only.

And this caught the staff right away! "I can come and work in Spain!" and suddenly we were sitting and discussing opening a salon in Spain too! How fun? :) We are thinking of 1-2 people who work full time there (who live in Spain full time already) and then the staff in Sweden can work some weeks at the Spain salon as well! What a wonderful privilege to come to Spain look like close!

I actually do not know this in retrospect if everyone in the staff understood that I, Miska and Annika meant seriously with this idea, realized afterwards that they are not as used to our brainstorming meetings and how we can track down sometimes! But it was not just fun talk on our part :)

We have not checked out any details at all on how this would work in practice between the countries, etc. But we will actually check it out, I am very excited! Our Spain move might be like a salon project instead :)

To be continued!

We offered sushi late, had so much fun together! Love this gang! :)

6-day week at the salon
Lisa was free last Saturday so I jumped in and worked then. I have had more customers than usual this week overall as well and have, among other things, taken 3 make-ups that I will show before and after pictures of :) One of them I published already last Friday.

Then it has not been so much more special, I have declared which was not quite easy as my old private company hangs around and haunts even though it is closed and then I will declare the company that I am a partner in as well and it is difficult to understand what everything means with “acquired shares” and such boring terms;) SO nice that we have help with the finances in our AB, with accounting, financial statements and all that. Worth every penny.

Hope you also had a great week! I myself will celebrate Miska who turns 31 today, I really do not know how I would have managed without him :)

Hugs are! ♥

Makeup, brow pick & hair styling

Today I did a really fun makeover on a customer at the salon who had booked makeup, eyebrow picking and hair styling :)

She will be in a TV production with Jonas Hallberg who has a recording tonight and wanted an everyday makeup and something fun with her hair that would not feel too "party-fixed". So after some discussion, we decided on small wave curls! It's a bit like having naturally curly hair, I think it's extremely nice!

I usually do not take hairstyles but this was an exception :)

Here is the result:

The curls are made with the pliers HH Simonsen Mini Beach Waver (adlink)

BASE:
Face primer - Pixi Flawless & poreless primer
Foundation - Pixi H2O Skintint (2 Nude)
Powders for redness - glo Skin Beauty Redness Relief Powder
Contouring & matt highlighter - Contouring Palette (No. 2)
Highlighter with a lot of luster - Pixi Glow-y-powder (London Luster)
Rouge - glo Skin Beauty Blush (Papaya)
Fixing mist - Pixi makeup fixing mist

EYEBROW:
Brynpenna - glo Skin Beauty Miro brow liner (Ash & Dark Brown)

EYES:
Eyeshadow Primer - Pixi eye bright primer
Eyeshadows - glo Skin Beauty Shadow Quad (Bon Voyage)
Light eyeliner along the waterline - gloMinerals Eye Pencil (Peach)
Eyeliner - Kryolan HD Cream Liner (Ebony)
Mascara - Magnetic lash mascara

LIPS:
Lipstick - glo Skin Beauty Suede Matte Crayon (Monogram)

It was fun that she booked in eyebrow picking too because the eyebrows do all the make-up I think! :)

I usually comb through the hair with my fingers a little more when I do these curls, but since we did the hair in the morning and the recording was only at 6 pm, we let it be a little more "freshly curled" because the curls can pull out a little by themselves during the day.

I also put in dry shampoo (for brunettes) for structure and a little volume in the scalp, then after the curls were done I sprayed the whole hair with hair spray and gloss spray. All of them are from Hårologi and are also available in the webshop.

What do you think? :) ♥

Red crease makeup - Step by step

  10. Black eyeliner along the entire lash line

My natural hair color

0

Hi Helena! I get really inspired every time you post about hair colors and would love to see more posts like this. I have a question, the base color you have in your hair now, is it your natural hair color? Or have you dyed the bottom at home while you wait for the turquoise to go out completely? What is the color in such cases? Would it be fun to see you completely in your natural hair color, do you have any old picture of it? :-) Maternity! ”

Oh what fun that those posts are appreciated :)

I have not put in a base color at all but the whole top of the hair is my natural color. The last time I was at the hairdresser was (got a shock now when I checked) March 2017, so over a year ago! Then I looked out like this after the hairdresser's visit.

But it's actually a little fun that this question is coming right now, because just this other day I realized that my hair has grown so far now that the under hair has no bleach left at all in the tops, it is outgrown and cut off. So if I pull behind all the hair, I see what I would look like in just my natural hair color!

Here you see a 100% natural Helena:

I was blonde when I was younger but now it's really dark actually!

If I thrive? Actually not a bit haha! But I think it's just nice that I do not like my natural hair color, because I think it's so much more fun just hair colors and if I had a super nice natural color I would have been more afraid of it. Type "if I dye now, it will take several years before I become completely my own hair color again".

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the color but it just feels too dull for my personality. I thrive more in pink! :)

I think I look so young? Helena 13 years :)

It's almost on the day exactly 5 months since I dyed my hair turquoise now, in November I did it, and TODAY I got rid of as the last remnants with the help of L'Oréal's new remover for the washout colors. I took pictures of it so you will soon see what my whole hair looks like now and what it looked like before bleaching.

Now my new plan to book a hairdressing time is as fast as attan! Pale balayage and permanent small-curly is my new fix idea;)

Hugs are!

Rainbow smokey eye - Sweeping with a splash of color

Today I was hungry for a really dark make-up, it is quite rare that I put dark along the waterline on myself nowadays (no particular reason for that) but today it was a real black soot with a little rainbow colors in the corner of the eye that enlivened nicely!

Hope you are inspired :)

Face primer - Paese Makeup Base (Matte)
Foundation -
Pixi H2O Skintint (2 Nude)
Concealer -
Pixi Pat Away Concealing Base (1 Cream)
Contouring - Contouring Palette (2)
Glowy highlighter - Pixi Glow-Y-Powder (London Luster)
Powder - Paese Bamboo Silk Powder
Rouge - Blush (35)
Fixing Mist - Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist

Brow shadow - Benecos Eyebrow Designer (brunette)

Lipstick - Paese Matt Liquid Lipstick (707)
Lip pencil in the contour - glo Skin Beauty Lip Liner (Java)

The close-ups after mascara are not as sharp as usual, because I completely forgot to take close-ups after the last step! So clumsy haha! So I cut out the eyes from the full pictures instead, it works too :)

  1. Eyeshadow primer, Pixi eye bright primer
Black eyeliner with silver glitter along the waterline and erased below, Paese Linea Automatic Liner (Black Glam)
  2. The same eyeliner along the upper waterline
  3. Erase the edges with a compact brush
  4. Black eye shadow, Paese Kashmir Eyeshadow (602)
  5. Yellow, turquoise, blue and purple eye shadow in the corner of the eye, Paese Neo Eyeshadow
  6. Black mascara on all lashes, Magnetic Lash Mascara

Clear!

Hugs are!
