Facial treatment for pimples

4

I have started a course with facials at Jannika who works with Maria Åkerberg's products. Jannika is our spa therapist at Creative Makeup in Uppsala and does massages, facials and body wraps.

I have only been on a facial all my life, before this, so it feels really good to grab the skin properly for a regular period of 6 weeks now!

The cure is thus once a week for 6 weeks, and many get rid of the pimples completely after the treatments. Then a new treatment is recommended every 6 weeks and adapted products for the result to last. Maria Åkerberg has, among other things, an AHA acid peel for home use that I will start using after these 6 weeks.

This is how you lie, laid down under a blanket and so heavenly cared for!

First treatment - Classic facial treatment
Before the "cure" itself, which is once a week for 5 weeks, you start with a classic facial treatment where you do steam and port emptying. As a first cleansing :) It is a treatment that suits all skin types because you adapt it to the person's skin, and before a clearing treatment, you also use a few other products.

This facial treatment includes cleansing, peeling, steam, pore emptying, mask, cream, oil and activating facial massage.

Port emptying feels a lot because you use a pork clamp tool that is pulled over the skin, but other than that it was among the most relaxing I have been through haha and the skin felt extremely clean and fresh afterwards.

Products - Clearing Kit
Maria Åkerberg has a product kit that I have started using in connection with the treatments. If you have to, you have to do it properly, I think :) The kit contains cleanser, toner, moisturizer, face mask and peeling with AHA acid.

I have never tested Maria Åkerberg before and have now used the products for 3 weeks and think they are great! I have the products for pimples and oily skin, which in many brands does not suit my skin at all because it just gets tight and sensitive from it, but these are deep cleansing and go into the skin quickly - while the skin is still soft and feels lubricated. So nice! However, I only use the oil in the evenings because it does not go in fast enough to be used in the morning, but it can be different from skin to skin.

Cure: Clearing treatment
And now to the strong cure treatment with AHA acid! :)

I have now been on 2 of 5 clearing treatments. The treatment counteracts acne and impure skin and is anti-inflammatory. The treatment includes cleansing, peeling, clearing serum, oil, mask, cream and light facial massage.

The most active in this treatment is 10% AHA acid which is applied directly to the skin. After a while, it is worked into the skin properly with oils and creams that cause the acid to be absorbed properly while the products moisturize and increase the elasticity of the skin and build up a protection.

When the acid is applied, it begins to tingle in the skin, and when it is then activated by the massage, it stings slightly. The first treatment felt very much but the second treatment very little. It also loosens dead skin cells when you massage, the first time I only got a little but the second treatment it came out no matter how much, had lots of small balls of dead skin cells in the face after the massage haha.

The treatment ends with a face mask for 10 minutes (which provides moisture, it is needed after strong acids) and then moisturizer on the face and around the eyes.

You should not be in the sun for 48 hours after this treatment. The AHA acid makes the skin sensitive to the sun. You also get clear instructions that products with mineral oil and silicone should not be used as it interferes with the treatment when it lies like a lid on the skin. However, high-quality mineral oils and silicones do not clog the pores and the skin is still breathing - but there are divided opinions about it. But I am in any case obedient and run makeup without these ingredients during the treatments :)

Here above you see my skin before the treatments, a lot of blemishes but not heavy acne as well. It will be exciting to see what the skin looks like after 6 weeks!

My result - So far
I still have a lot of pimples (never have lots, but always some) but the skin feels really clean from dead skin cells and the pores are much cleaner! The pimples I have are also very superficial and small, have not had any inboarders or the worst.

So, I've been hoping to get even smaller pimples, you have two treatments left, but am happy with the result anyway.

And just like with Sanctum (the skin care I used before), it feels so good with products that are good for both skin and the environment. What I also like about Maria Åkerberg is that they also have products that are more active, with acids and stuff!

There is an AHA acid that is 20% as well, which I have seen an extreme difference when Jannika has done back treatment for acne, you saw the phase big difference right after the treatment, absolutely incredible! You should not have it on your face, but if I flirt properly with Jannika, then maybe she will let me test as a spot treatment on the pimples in any case. There are 20% acids for home use in other brands so it should not be a disaster;)

Any of you who have tested 20% AHA in the face?

Also throws in a facial image that I took in Jannika's spa room at the salon! Nice, is not it? I'm the worst photographer;) Or what do you say haha.

You can see all the other pictures I took and read more about Jannika's treatments here!

Shout out if you have any questions ♥

Make-up consultation before & after (Make-up 40+)

Last week I had a make-up consultation with none other than our spa therapist Jannika who does facials and massages at Creative Makeup! :)

She has had a hard time finding bass makeup that she likes (not easy to be a picky dermatologist) haha) and she is so happy with the products she bought at home! She thinks that they sit great and feel really nice on the skin, so fun with a positive review by someone who is even better on the skin than I am!

Here is the result:

BASE:

Face primer - Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer
Foundation - Pixi H2O Skintint (3 Warm)
Contouring & highlighter - Pixi Book of beauty contour creator
Rouge - gloMinerals Blush (Papaya)
Fixing mist - Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist

We started with a face primer that evens out the skin and gives a lot of radiance for a nice glow in the skin. Then a water-resistant gel foundation that sinks into the skin and sits great. To emphasize her facial features, we did contouring and highlighter (both matte highlighter and with luster) and a rosy blush on the cheeks.

We have also used the light shadow from the contouring palette to lighten up around the eyes instead of concealer.

Eyebrows - Pixi natural brow duo (Deep brunette)

We filled in the eyebrows with a brow pencil that is shaped like a triangle (gives a very soft filling) and brow gel with a little color. She has a very nice eyebrow shape but rather sparse straws on the top, which makes the eyebrows a little heavy downwards, so we added a little extra color with the eyebrow pencil at the top / highest point, which lifts her gaze very nicely.

EYES:

Eyeshadow Primer - Pixi eye bright primer
Eyeshadows - Paese Opal Eyeshadow (Colorado)
Light eyeliner along the waterline - gloMinerals Eye Pencil (Peach)
Eyeliner - Tattooed at Creative Makeup, so we have not done anything with it :)
Mascara - Magnetic lash mascara

For her eyes, we made lighter inside the eye and darker at the outer edges to open up the eyes and make them a little more alert. Then we brightened up the waterline with an off-white pencil and finished with mascara.

Lip pencil - Benecos Natural Lip Liner (Brown)
Lipstick - gloMinerals Cream Glaze Crayon (Mimosa)

We marked the lips with a lip pencil and then a summery coral color on what enlivens, so nice!

What a radiance! ♥

The red eyeliner

3ina is the brand I showed colorful mascaras from a while ago, I also got a press sample of a crazy nice eyeliner in a metallic red shade! It is so nice and I have used it in today's makeup and put it to the test! :)

The eyeliner costs 89 meager kronor, sits from morning to evening (even with oily eyelids and no eyeshadow primer), is very easy to apply and dries quickly. How good in other words!

It is easy to wash off if you have makeup remover for the eyes, I took a bath for 2 hours and washed off the makeup properly (I thought) with my usual facial cleanser only. When I was done, I looked in the bathroom mirror and was completely clean from head to toe except for a red eyeliner with wing that was as nice as before I jumped into the bathtub haha.

It is available in more shades and you can find them all on them website!

This is what the brush looks like, it is a soft applicator spike in rubber that is wide on one side and narrow if you turn it. I usually do not prefer such types of eyeliners but this was actually simple for both the French edge and eyelinervinge. For perfect precision, however, you can use a separate eyeliner brush, as it is always easy to smudge on the lashes, etc. when there is eyeliner on the entire shaft.

Bassmink:
Concealer - gloMinerals Under Eye Concealer (beige)
Foundation - gloMinerals Pressed Base Foundation (Golden Medium)
Contouring - Paese Bronzing powder (1m)
Rouge - gloMinerals Powder blush (papaya)
Powder - Paese Bamboo Silk Power

Fountain pens - gloMinerals Micro Brow Liner (Raven)
Brown fibers - Maybelline Brow Precise Fiber Filler (Dark blonde) (adlink)

Lip pencil on the entire lips - Yves Rocher Automatic Lip Liner (32nd red) (adlink)
Red lipstick on top of it -
IsaDora Sculpting Lipstick (64 True Red) (adlink)

Surely the eyeliner looks good? :)
