Autumnal look

I did this make-up the day before I dyed my hair, if you are wondering why the hair color suddenly looks so warm again;) Have had so much to do with the salon but also fun things like hairdressing time, press breakfast and restaurant inauguration in Stockholm that have made me a little late with the makeup posts here.

I actually filmed a make-up tutorial on the make-up too! I made a first test film with a new film camera, have to get better light and such but still think about cutting and publishing the film even though it is not perfect. Or how do you feel about that, rather no movie at all than a movie with poor quality? Or do you not care so much when I'm still in the movie startup phase? :)

As I said, I have to get started with it now, I have decided, but it is very technical that must be done first.

Anyway, since I filmed the makeup, I have no step by step pictures, but hope you get inspired anyway!

Makeup 20s theme

“Heeej!
Going to dinner in about 2 weeks where the theme is the 20s.
Had appreciated if you would like to put together a make-up (maybe hairstyle?) With this theme? :) Preferably fairly simple but clear 20s! Hug!"

Got this email just recently and since I already have two such makeups in the archive, I thought I would publish them again. One is very old, which is clearly visible in the image quality, but still inspiring :)

Hope they are helpful!

20s make-up

I wanted the lips to have a little discreet ombre on, but not very clear but a little more diffuse. Then I fiddled a bit with the shape as well as you probably see, to get the fluffy feeling that was popular in the 20's! I have put foundation in the edges to make it more fluffy :)

The lipstick I have used is Yves Rocher Grand Rouge Lipstick in shade 23. Violet pro fond. The dark in the contours is just a black eyeliner - the same one I used for the eyes.

20s makeup-step-by-step

1. Black eye shadow on the entire eyelid (slightly higher in the inner edge), gloMinerals Eye Shadow (Sable)
2. Blur the edges.
3. Black eyeliner along the lower lash line (+ a little eye shadow on top), Yves Rocher Eyeliner (01 Noir)
White eyeliner along the waterline, IsaDora Inliner Kajal (50 Satin White)
4. Black eyeliner along the upper lash line (same as before)
Light shimmery eye shadow under the brow and in the corner of the eye, Annika's Favorite Shadow.
5. Black mascara on all lashes, Oriflame The ONE Volume Blast Mascara.

And here is a newer variant that I had at the Swedish Beauty & Cosmetics Awards 2015:

A round sweep that was a little higher on the inside of the eye - a la 20s :)

Black eye shadow on the entire eyelid, Paese Kashmir Eyeshadow (602)
White eye shadow In the corner of the eye, Yag mineral eyeshadow (star white)
A little blue eye shadow at the tip of the eye, Paese Kashmir Neo Eyeshadow (661)
White eyeliner along the waterline, Paese eye pencil white.
Black mascara on the lashes, Paese Adore 3D Lash Mascara.

I felt really aunty in this hairstyle though haha, meeen I pretended that it was the sentence "20s is a bit aunt look" :)

You can make this look even milder even if you e.g. does not thrive in such dark eyes, you do not need to have carbon black shade either but can choose a gray. With marked eyes and plut on the lips together with his outfit, pearls and maybe a feather in his hair, you get far!

Hi Helena! I think your hair color is very nice right now, but since you almost always only show close-ups on the face when you show make-up, you do not always see the whole hair. Can you post some pictures of when you see your entire hair color and what it looks like in the lengths? :) Gets very hungry for just the color you have! Liked your more reddish-pink tones but this color feels more special. Hug"

That makes me happy! I was actually at my hairdresser Monica Werner today and spruced up my hair a little, but did not make a huge transformation :) So can publish new pictures of what my hair looks like today:

img_6338_111

The last time I dyed my hair (early June) we bleached the hair with bayalage brush and then we added pastel pink color to the lengths. You can see pictures of that coloring in this post, it's a big difference compared to my hair color today :)

Then everything was washed out and above all sun bleached, it became much brighter when we were in Turkey for a week. And that is the sun-bleached color I have had until today.

On today's hairdresser's visit, Monica dyed off my growth on the scalp, and then she added a cool shade to the lengths because I thought my hair color before was a little too warm. So I still have red-pink tones in my hair but in the scalp I have a brownish color and in the tops I am blonde. And in between there are lots of different shades!

img_6340_111 img_6345_111 img_6358_111

I love this bayalage / ombré effect on my hair now, I like to be quite light in the hair but when it gets very light only up to the scalp, my face disappears a little when it is not framed. And just a cold blonde / brown I would probably get tired of pretty quickly, so I like that there is a lot of toner left from my red-pink colors :)

What do you think? Do you like to see make-up for a little more neutral hair colors, or do you prefer more intense hair colors that liven up?

Makeup advice - Sunkissed bass & Eyeliner

Last Saturday I had a fun make-up consultation at the salon in Uppsala which I took before and after pictures of and thought to show you now :)

A girl interested in make-up who wants a base that covers blemishes and is debilitating for oily skin, but at the same time natural and makes her skin look tanned. As well as an eye makeup with sharp eyeliner with wing, and natural matte lips to it.

Here you see the result:

img_5978_vattenstampel

So fine! :) A nice make-up that works both for everyday and for parties.

Cover pimples and redness + debilitating
We started with a depressing foundation with face primer and oil-free foundation all over the face. Then we covered blemishes and redness with concealer and a mineral powder that neutralizes redness incredibly effectively.

Color, shape and radiance of the skin
After that, we darkened the skin more with sun powder, contouring and gave the skin more radiance and color with highlighter and blush. You can otherwise look quite flat in the face with a full-coverage, matte base.

Extra good durability
Finished with Makeup fixing mist and after that a debilitating powder. Degreasing powder I always apply after fixing mist, because the bamboo powder I use is so absorbent that I do not want it to soak up all fixing mist. The powder should lie as a dry surface on the outside of the skin and absorb the oil when it comes out.

Stylish eyebrows and make-up that enlarges the eyes
She already had a nice eyebrow shape that we emphasized extra with pencil and brow gel. Made a soft, brown sweep with darker edges and a little cat eye shape to enlarge the eyes. Finished with eyeliner with wing for an extra lift.

Lips
Finally, we complemented the makeup with a matte lipstick that is a little darker than her own lip color. Natural but at the same time gives the lips an even color and emphasizes the shape with a sharp contour. In addition, it is practical for everyday use as the durability is really good even when eating and drinking :)
