Make-up on freckled skin

This weekend I held a make-up consultation with a bride-to-be who will do her make-up herself on the big day this summer. They are going to a drop-in wedding at Skansen and she will not have time to go to a makeup artist and be made up before.

So I did a relatively simple bridal make-up and explained all the steps clearly, so that she will be able to do the same at home herself later :) And then she bought with her all the products she felt she needed to get an equally nice result (products value SEK 795 is included in the price when booking a make-up consultation).

I also got to take before and after pictures, look so nice:

A light base that still makes the nice freckles shine through and highlights her nice facial features. And a light, golden make-up that makes the eyes shimmer beautifully in the sun and that feels festive at the same time as it fits well during the day. Super nice!

.COLOR Kiss Proof Lipliner

This week I got home a press sample on two of the lip pens Kiss Proof from the make-up brand .FÄRG, which is a matte and waterproof lip pencil that can both be used completely alone (as a lipstick) or as a complement to another lipstick.

The pens are available in 8 colors, I have the two shades Tokyo and Havana:

Tokyo is a bright pink shade, and Havana is a more gloomy burgundy tone. Super nice both!

Colors
I immediately wanted to try Havana, a color just to my taste! But all colors look incredibly beautiful and are also available in more neutral tones in the beige-pink direction.

Formula
The pen is creamy when applied but gives a matte and waterproof result.

Application
It is a very creamy pencil that you can easily paint sharp edges with. It glides easily on the skin and you get a lot of pigment immediately.

It says that you can use the lip pencil alone, as a lipstick, but it is not something that I personally recommend. The color is quite difficult to get even over the entire lip and the feeling becomes dry and sticky at the same time. The lips feel dry, but when you close your mouth, your lips almost stick to each other when you open your mouth again.

Results & Sustainability
Apart from the fact that I do not recommend having the lip pen alone on the entire lips as in the picture above, I think it keeps its promise! It sits like a rock without discolouring, almost difficult to wash off instead, and is really nice on the lips.

Summary - As a complement to other lipsticks, I can really recommend this pen. Fill in the contours and fade the color slightly towards the lip, and then apply another lipstick on the rest of the lips, or all over. Then you get a lip contour that lasts well all day, and a result that also feels comfortable!

But if you are looking for a matte lipstick to wear on the entire lips, then this pencil is not something I recommend.

Today's make-up is a perfect summer make-up!

Light base with a little coverage and a lot of glow (has only colored day cream with spf 20 and gel-blush) and bright eyes with a nice, pink glow. And glossy lips :)

Rouge - Pixi Cheek Gel (Natural)

Eyebrows - Pixi Natural Brow Duo (Deep brunette)
Lips - Benecos Natural Lip Liner (Brown) in the contours and Paese Balm Lip Gloss (621 on top)

All eye shadows are from Paese Opal Eyeshadow (Melba)

Eyeshadow primer, Pixi eye bright primer
Pink eye shadow on the entire eyelid
Dab light eye shadow under the brow
… And in the middle of the eyelid
… And in the corner of the eye
Finish with mascara on all lashes, Magnetic lash mascara

Bright nude nails

Nude nails are so incredibly beautiful I think! Stylish and fixed but blends in very well and fits everything. Love it!

Now I want to recommend my new favorite nail polish which is a beige / pink color in a perfect nude tone for people with light skin.

I received it in a press release along with the news from Apolosophy:

New summer nail polish from Apolosophy, which you can find at Apoteket Hjärtat, among others.

42 Raspberry Kiss is a raspberry red shade, the red colors become much clearer in the picture, it is milder red in reality.
41 Hazy Taube is a neutral beige / brown / purple tone.
40 Nude Apricot is a very nice apricot orange tone that is also very mild in shade.
39 Antique Pink is the beige-pink color that I was going to show you a little closer in this post, I think it is so nice!

Application
The brush is reasonably wide and easy to paint with. The nail polish becomes complete after just one coat, which I LOVE. It is not very common that a layer of such light nail polish is enough, but this one is very rich in pigment.

Results
The varnish is not particularly smoothing, so you should polish the nails before or use smoothing undercoat if you do not have smooth nails. But otherwise it will be super nice, glossy and get an even and nice color. Dries quickly too.

sustainability
I have a bit of mixed nails right now, some are gel and some are worn out. On my worn nails, the nail polish slices quite quickly (but I think most people would do that on those nails) and on the gel it holds superduperbra. So it's a bit difficult for me to comment on sustainability, it's normal-good I would say :)

Summary
I have the Antique Pink varnish on both my fingers and toenails and think the color is spotless! Next time I use it, I will combine it with an undercoat and topcoat. In other words, this nail polish will be used extensively this summer.

Fint va? :) Super nice even on darker skin tones, but then you do not get the nude effect but just a really nice, light nail polish.
