Bts - Tendenz Plåtning

3

I think I remember that I published some behind the scenes photos from the shoot with Monica Werner and Elina Meuller before, but before the picture was published in the Tendenze competition, I could not post pictures where the hair was visible, which was a bit boring.

So now I take the opportunity to show you more pictures! :)

As I said, I put on make-up for Monica's competition picture in the Tendenz Stylist Award 2014 (look at the results and vote here) and it was a full day out in the drizzle and we were incredibly grateful that we chose an environment that was under cover!

Sara has an incredible amount of hair on her head and it became really heavy for her after a while poor thing! Being a model is certainly not an easy profession.

And as a makeup artist where basically all the work is done once you shoot, it is standard to help with reflective screens.

A little insight into life as a makeup artist :)

Dark purple eyeliner

Yves Rocher is a make-up brand that basically always impresses me, but theirs new eyeliner am actually a little unsure if I like it or not.

In my eyes it lasts well all day, but I painted a line on my hand and tested rubbing (with a dry finger) and it did not hold well at all unfortunately. So for you with sagging / folded eyelids where the skin reaches the lash line when you blink, for you I do not recommend this eyeliner.

However, it is very easy to apply, which dip eyeliners are rarely (I think), which is because the applicator is quite soft. So it is liked :) It is easy to get a narrow and sharp line and it gives a opaque and pigment-rich result!

I have the shade 06 Prune which I actually think is very nice. The shade is dark purple and discreet, and is a fun complement to a regular black eyeliner!IMG_1381_111

It's a cat hair I have on my nose, I do not have that much hair growth hehe;)

I live at my mother's house during the summer, and she has 4 cats who are very curious when I take pictures haha.

Have you tested this? What did you think? :)

Make-up for the summer party

Yesterday I made up Frida who was going to a 22nd birthday party!

She wanted a colorful make-up for her black and white outfit, but she did not want it to get a lot of attention on her face as she would mostly be a little extra nice and not "party party".

So I put all the eye shadows on the top of the eye and did not fade them so high up to the brow, this means that when you look straight ahead, the colors are not visible at all, but when you blink and move in different directions, it is visible and you does not feel as "over-made" :)

Here comes the result!

Lumene Raspberry Miracle Lip Sorbet - News

I mentioned in a previous post on Modern Mom that Lumene Raspberry Miracle Lip Sorbet now in June has come in four new shades, and now I thought to show them a little closer :)

I have loved and used these lip gloss pens only since they were launched in 2013, they are so beautiful and easy to apply while they are just as nice on the lips. In addition, they are moisturizing and caring thanks to caring seed oil from Arctic raspberries.

The new colors are more matte and opaque compared to the previous pins, and give a really intense and pigmented color to the lips, super nice!

10 Makeup tips for narrow spectacle frames (Step by step)

Many people think that narrow frames do not make any difference to how to put on make-up, because they are so narrow that they do not directly hide the eyes. But regardless of size, people you meet will always see the glasses before the eyes, and therefore you need to mark the eyes a little extra for the eyes to be visible anyway.
 –
You can think a little "the other way around" from wide arcs. With wide frames, you should be careful not to apply too much make-up - then the make-up and the wide frames will be like a big hit. But with narrow frames, you can apply a little extra makeup to make your eyes visible!

These frames are called Puebla Gold and are available for purchase Extraoptical.se.
 –
Dark shadows
Do not be afraid to take an extra dark eye shadow, e.g. black, in the outer edges of the eyes. When you put on the glasses, you will need the extra intensity in the gaze, even though it may feel "too much" without the glasses.
 –
2. Adapt to the shape
Put on your glasses and look straight ahead in the mirror. Which parts of the eyes are hidden, and which are clearly visible? In the areas where the spectacle frame takes up a lot of space, it can be a good idea to work mostly with light shadows to emphasize, and in the areas where it is completely open, you can focus with darker shadows.
 –
On my glasses, the frame hides the eyelid a little, so I want to keep it pretty bright there. But under the eye, and especially to the sides, there is a lot of space - and there I put a little extra dark!
 –
3. Eyebrows
Do not forget to fill in the eyebrows, otherwise they disappear easily behind the frames. Feel free to make a high shape for the frames that I have, it's nice if they end up over the frame as much as possible, and not down to the same height so that they blend into the upper edge of the frame.
4. Primer
An eyeshadow primer is important if you want to bring out the pigments in the eyeshadows properly, so that they are more visible under the glasses. An eye shadow primer is applied after foundation, before eye shadows.

5. Complementary colors

Color will always make your eyes appear more under glasses, in addition, it is so beautiful! A tip for emphasizing your particular eye color is to use the complementary color.

Blue eyesYellow, orange, gold, bronze.
Brown eyesCold colors such as blue.
Green eyes Purple and purple toner.

6. Highlight the eyes
Work a lot with both light and dark eye shadows, as well as shimmery and matte. This creates contrasts which in turn will attract more attention to the eyes. You apply the light / shimmery shadows on the areas you want to emphasize more - the corner of the eye and the eyelid for example. You can use the dark / matte shadows to create more depth in the make-up, for example along the globe line.
 –
Two details that are very useful for the eye to look bigger and more open are first and foremost to lighten the waterline with a light eyeliner. If you have small eyes / drooping eyelids, I also recommend painting the dark shadow in the globe line a little higher up than what your globe line actually sits - this gives the impression of a larger eyelid and a more open look.
7. Balance
Since I have quite a lot of focus on eyes, I should not forget lips and blush to get balance in the face. Choose either a lot of blush and a little lip, or a little blush and a lot of lips. If you get a lot of both lips, blush and eyes, the whole will not be so harmonious.
8. The basic make-up
The basic make-up can often get dirty on the glasses during the day, which destroys both your good-looking foundation and soils the frames. Apply a lot of powder around the eyes when you put on make-up, and improve during the day even if you are prone to getting oily. Then your basic make-up is more "fixed" and will not slip around and get stuck on the frames.
9. Myopia / farsightedness
If you are nearsighted, the glass in the glasses makes your eyes look smaller - work hard to enlarge the eyes.
If you are farsighted, the glass in the glasses makes your eyes look bigger - this is usually not a problem as many of us like big eyes, then you can just follow your natural features to emphasize what you already have. If, on the other hand, you want to reduce the eyes, you can apply very dark closest to the eyes (eg dark eyeliner along the waterline and lash lines) and then apply light along the crease.

10. Step by step
Here is a step by step makeup that contains the details I just described:
