"Hello! I have a bit of a hard time figuring out the order in which to apply eye shadow. We say I use, primer, powder foundation, eye shadow. I apply primer first all over the face even on the eyelids. Then I take my powder foundation in the eyelid as well and then on that I take eye shadow, is this wrong? Shouldn't you take your base in the eyelid? And if you use eye shadow primer, should you apply it on your regular primer or should you not have your regular primer on the eyelid? Then I also wonder if you can mix liquid and powder stuff. Type, can I have liquid concealer but powder foundation? Or will it look completely crazy? And if so, do you take the concealer first and powder over or vice versa? Feeling completely lost! Sorry for such a heavenly long question! But would really appreciate if you had time to answer this :( ”
1. In what order should you apply all the basic make-up?
You write the correct order, start with face primer, then apply your foundation, then use eye shadow primer and finally eye shadow. Concealer is applied before powder foundation if it is liquid, and before or after whether it is a powder concealer. It's a matter of taste! I can describe in more detail about concealer further down in the post :)
2. Should you have face primer and foundation on your eyes?
It is not important to have the face primer on the eyelids if you will also apply an eyeshadow primer, but it does not hurt. I usually apply the face primer on the eyelids also because I am oily and use a mattifying primer, and the eyelid becomes as oily as the T-zone.
But foundation is good to always wear on the eyelids, because the thin skin on the eyelids has small visible blood vessels that are often a little in the blue or red direction. It is good to cover it because otherwise the eye shadow color can be affected by it and then the eye shadow will not be quite the same color as in the jar!
However, you should not use face primer as eye shadow primer, because they are two completely different products with different properties. Wear one for the face and one for the eyes.
3. Should you have concealer before or after foundation?
I always try to apply a concealer after foundation if possible, because then you see how much you need and how much is covered by just foundation. And then there is no risk of wasting concealer and covering mass unnecessarily.
An exception is concealers that cover by neutralizing, such as a green concealer, I always apply this before foundation so that you get the right skin color at the end.
However, there are concealers that are not so easy to apply after foundation, e.g. if you have a liquid concealer and a dry foundation. Or very thick and "thick" concealers, one after foundation can "pull off" the foundation underneath because it is quite hard to apply.
I usually think in this order depending on what kind of products you have:
Mineral Foundation - Mineral Concealer
Liquid Concealer - Mineral Foundation
More cream concealer - Mineral foundation
Liquid foundation - Mineral concealer
Liquid foundation - Liquid concealer
Slightly cream concealer - Liquid foundation
This is what I do but my mineral concealers, I start with green concealer, apply foundation and finish with an enlightening concealer!
4. Can you mix liquid products with powder products?
I would say that it almost always works to mix cream products with powder products, if you apply the creamy product first and the powdery last. However, there are some few concealers that are very sticky in consistency that do not become as even during a powder foundation because more foundation sticks where you have concealer. But it works with most people! Let the cream dry for a while before you just apply the powder.
Hope you understood everything and that my tips were helpful! :) ♥

But god thank you sooooooo much! Really did not understand anything but you have explained this so heavenly well to me now! Thanks thanks thanks!!
That makes me happy! :)
