My business week v. 14

I do not have many pictures from this week, it has been a short week at the salon and I have basically only worked in front of the computer or had customer bookings.

You have had more interesting work weeks if I say so :)

But still I feel how the inspiration flows within me! I really love that feeling! It's spring, we're full of customers at the salon, I've got a new idea for an eyebrow treatment I'll check up, everything is moving forward and I also spent my whole Saturday morning looking at houses for sale in Spain haha! Just to boost the inspiration for the future as well :) There are few things that make me so bubbling happy!

Many work evenings at home
When I have a lot of customers, I think it's very fun, but it also results in me having to catch up with everything else when I get home later. But I'm pretty good at working from home and making a cozy moment out of it!

This week has been an extra lot of "admin work" because it is a new month. So salaries, budgets, reports, statistics, key figures, invoices and such must be fixed, which is my task.

Here I am in bed with the monthly report from the salon and my favorite candy from Finland that my sister had with her when she visited over the Easter weekend! ♥

House in Spain
Miska and I often talk about having a dream home abroad. This is a life goal that I have in the back of my mind all the time because it is so easy to build a career where you tie yourself to a place otherwise. I want to build my companies in a way where I can work a lot at a distance so that I can, for example, live in Spain in the meantime!

This dream has been planned much further ahead really, like "when we are rich" we have said. But we are starting to feel more and more that it may just be a 2-year plan type. You do not need to buy a worsting house directly, as long as it is cozy, warm and homely, I am super happy!

But when you are still looking just for the sake of inspiration, you can click on the more luxurious houses also just to;) Like this 30 million villa outside Malaga! Image source from Skandiamaklarna.se. Here you can live!

Early and productive Wednesday!
Wednesday was a productive day and I fell asleep as soon as I went to bed late at night. At 4 in the morning I made up my sister who was going away for a thing in Stockholm. Then I did a step-by-step make-up before work and took some photos before my long post and Indy Beauty which I published last Friday.

At the salon we were fully booked then, not a single quarter gap had the makeup artists in their schedule :) So I also received bookings then of which a makeup consultation that went from Enköping to be made up with us.

Miska went home earlier so all afternoon I stood in the reception and multitasked with computer jobs, answering the phone and booking customers and receiving customers who came in and shopped or had a booked time.

Then I continued to work from home in front of the computer while I cooked dinner (burnt veg. Meatballs hehe) and not because it belongs to the thing but when I fired (we have to fire in a boiler room in the basement to get heat and hot water) so had I have a super big spider ON ME !! I talked to dad on the phone about lists he should help us put up and when I threw all the firewood and screamed he thought I fell and hurt me haha. Ugh it was hard to concentrate on the job after that.

Here you see a morning tired Helena :) I woke up at 3 of stress dreams that I turned off the alarm clock and that my sister fell asleep and lots of things. So those few hours of sleep were not quality sleep right away!

Get "paid" in products
Many companies are not familiar with the rules (or common sense) when it comes to blog collaborations, press tests, etc. and not many individuals know how it works to make money on a blog.

The most common misconception is that you can pay a blogger with products, and I do not do such types of collaborations at all because if you receive products as payment for a post, you have to pay tax on them, and the tax authorities unfortunately do not accept a used lipstick that payment.

Press samples, on the other hand, ie products that are sent unconditionally (you do not have to test or rewrite them) are work samples to be able to do your job. I could not afford to write product reviews and make the blog what it is today if I had to buy all the products myself.

It's a bit like inviting a theater reviewer to your show to hopefully be rewritten in a newspaper, the ticket itself would not be seen as a payment that the newspaper should tax for. And it's not a paid collaboration either, because the person does not have to rewrite the show if you do not want it - but in all probability the person will do it because you need material for your articles.

Do you understand? :)

Here is a picture from my Friday night where I wrote this long review post about products from Indy Beauty which took an extremely long time, I was done just before 12 at night! Then I would not have sat with it for a whole day, but if you count all the minutes from the press event to photography, image editing, testing and then the text and the post itself, it is extremely time consuming. No time you spend just to get the products for free if you say so, but to build a page with interesting content that people want to follow and be inspired by :)

Now Miska and I will practice our Spanish in front of the Netflix series La casa de papel, which has finally come out with new episodes;) A free Sunday I treat myself today!

Hugs are ♥
