So before Christmas and New Year's Eve, it can be cozy to have a spa day some day before you want to feel a little extra nice. Especially if you have oily and impure skin, then you can really feel a little more "on top" if you have had a take-care-of-the-skin day in advance and cleansed the skin deeply!

I who have both sensitive and oily skin invest in cleaning the skin properly, and then soothing and moisturizing it as much as possible afterwards.

Now I thought I would tell you about my facial routine on the days I take care of the skin a little more than usual, with a focus on making it as clean as possible before it's time for a soothing face mask!

1. Open the pores by boiling a saucepan of water and then sit for about 5 minutes and keep your face above the water vapor.

2. Scrub the face with a mild peeling (not one for the body, but one that is adapted for the face), I use Sanctum Gentle Face Exfoliant.

3. Then apply a deep cleansing face mask that pulls out excess oil and impurities from the pores, I recommend Lumene Matt Touch Deep-Cleansing Peat Mask it is very good! Both me and my sister see a difference in the pores already after the first use.

4. If you, like me, also have sensitive skin, then feel free to finish with a soothing, moisturizing and healing face mask, I use Sanctum Hydrating Gel Mask, feel free to read my post about the one I wrote today on Modernmom.se!

I do not have a lot of blackheads and impurities, but you still see a little difference in the before and after pictures! So this is the same day, before and after the four steps I wrote about above.

Hope the post was helpful!
