My business week

At the time of writing this Sunday evening, I am so tired that I can warn in advance that the post most likely contains a lot of spelling mistakes and skewed sentence structures haha.

At first I had an intense (but fun!) Work week, but we also renovate the house at home, which I have been doing all weekend and is tender in both body and soul. I would need a weekend after the weekend you could say :)

Idea spray
Last week, I chatted a bit that I had such inspiration and flow of ideas that I kind of wanted to crack and just do everything at once. This week has followed in the same footsteps with two completely different ideas where we also immediately put the balls rolling!

One is a spontaneous idea that we have already gone to work with, a new treatment that my sister Mia will perform at the salon, will write more about it further down in the post :) And the other is a much bigger idea that I can not go into here, but we have produced a proposal that will be taken up in another company's board as soon as possible, very exciting you may believe!

New treatment - This year's most ragged Christmas present - Get itched on your back!
Yes you read that right! Our new treatment at the salon is back-bran, how wonderful? Isn't it a bit sick that this is not available in salons already? :)

My sister Mia, who is a self-proclaimed itching professional, will perform the treatment from January, and it is possible to buy gift cards right now and can give them away as a Christmas present. SEK 199 for 20 minutes!

In addition to the obvious fact that it is really wonderful to be scratched on the back, fitness for the soul is at least as important as physical fitness. Soothing hormones (eg oxytocin) are secreted when we are feeling well and in turn affect physical and mental well-being. For those of you who love to be scratched on the back, this is the perfect relaxation. Many people prefer to be scratched on the back over massage.

We launched this on Friday night and have already received sales on gift cards online over the weekend, so much fun!

The most fun was when we took the campaign pictures on Wednesday, I had so much pain in the laughter muscles after that :)

I could not stop laughing that Mia's hands looked so funny when we were taking close-ups, so here she is, holding them up to make the blood go up in her arms so as not to have as veined hands haha.

We took lots of close-ups of the hands but did not get a single good one so we had to skip it completely.

This is how it goes when you have mocked your sister a little too much haha!

But the finished picture was great in any case! And we also made a film that we will post and market on social media next week :)

Campaign images for December
Now we have new campaign images in the store, the shop window and on the website!

It is 1. a Get the look make-up where I show a perfect December make-up with golden eyelids and red lips. 2. Tips on buying gift cards in the salon or in the webshop and give as a Christmas present 3. That we are open on New Year's Eve, I work then! So it's super easy to book with me! And the funniest 4th picture - our new itchy treatment :)

We always run 4 different campaign pictures every month and they are in four different formats for all places so there will be a total of 16 pictures to be fixed. It takes time, you know!

Christmas decorations in the salon
We have also decorated the salon for Christmas! Annika has fixed Christmas signage in the shop window and I have fixed a table with nice Christmas gift tips a la Creative Makeup.

It was very difficult to get a nice picture on the shop window from the outside because it was just reflected in the box, but here is part of the signage anyway :)

And here is a part of the Christmas gift tip table, it was so dark when I was going to take a picture of it last Friday, so I did not take a picture of the whole table. But on it are all our palettes, the makeup brush set and the nice makeup kit and skin care kit from Pixi!

Advisor to UF Företag
A few weeks ago I was contacted by a UF Company who asked if I wanted to be their advisor, I think it's great fun! The company is called Scrunchy UF and sews its own scrunchie tassels in velvet fabric, great!

This week we had a meeting and I shared advice, tips and feedback. Firstly to highlight that they are handmade and good quality at sales opportunities and marketing, to include the time it takes to sew these in the pricing as well and not just count on the material cost, and then a lot of inspiration and general business ideas when I got some questions around the salon etc :)

Lip tattoo by Ämma
And I have been a test person when Ämma practiced permanent makeup! She will probably very soon start releasing times for apprenticeships. She has made quite a few customers now but then Annika has been fully involved so there have not been so many gaps for this because Annika is quite fully booked. But as soon as Ämma feels confident that Annika is only available in the room next door, we will open up her schedule!

We filled in my upper lip a little and it is still not completely healed, so I do not yet know how the end result will be but from what I can see it looks very good :)

Make-up job at home
Last Saturday I did two makeups from home too! Before, I have not taken so many bookings at home but have started to let go of it a little now that I still have such a good make-up and photo room :) She would have a big 40th birthday party for her boyfriend and the theme was black, gold, silver, I also took before and after pictures as you will see in a separate post later, she was great!

I had no idea that I was photographed here, it was others who would put on make-up afterwards who wanted to test my camera, but that was only good then I got a picture for my business week too haha.

No, now I'm going to treat myself to some ice cream and watch Netflix for a few minutes before it's bedtime. I feel exhausted but am still pep for next week and see where all the ideas are for us;)
