Everyday make-up before & after

Last Saturday I started the day with a make-up consultation at the salon with a blog reader / Instagram follower from Luleå! Always so honoring with long-distance customers ♥

She wanted to see an everyday make-up that lifts and brightens tired eyes as well as a natural base that covers redness without looking too made-up.

Here is the result:

Nice, is not it! :)

Base
We started with a smoothing and moisturizing face primer as she has dry skin with a few lines, and then a semi-opaque gel foundation that sinks into the skin and becomes very natural and fine. Under the eyes and on small dots we have a thin concealer, and on the nose we also have a yellow powder that neutralizes redness (perfect even when she wants to be unmade up but just remove most of the redness).

With contouring and blush on it, her facial features were highlighted incredibly beautifully! We put the contour in the deep parts of the face (hairline, temples, under the cheekbones, under the jawbones) and on the sides of the nose and chin. We put highlighter under the eyebrows, in the middle of the face (middle of the forehead, bridge of the nose, cupid's bow and chin), and on the cheekbones.

Eyebrows
We filled in the eyebrows with a very mild shade, and did not put a lot of make-up on the inner edges but made an even base on the underside of the eyebrows and above all filled in a lot at the highest point. It really gave a lift and made the whole brow more shapely. Finished with a brow gel as she had very long straws that wanted to live her own life and brushed them quite a bit upwards towards the highest point as well. A little "comb over-hairstyle" stuck on the eyebrows;)

Eyes
For a make-up that lifts the gaze, I usually light up the underside, and put all the focus on the top of the eyes. We put a golden brown eyeshadow on the entire eyelid and over the globe line (so that it can be seen clearly and lift the eye even when she looks straight ahead), and then light in the corner of the eye and in the middle of the eyelid to liven up a little extra. Finished with lashliner (fringe marking) and mascara.

Lips
A natural lip color that fits well and does not need to be improved on the often, perfect everyday shade!

Really nice!

Hope you all got off to a good start to the new week, I really did! I had a really lazy day yesterday, lay in bed (which we moved into the living room in front of the wood stove haha) in soft pants and chilled basically all day. In addition to the hour I was in the bathtub with hair wrap and enzyme peeling;)

And today we have made important decisions before the new launch and the new website, and that is really the final sprint of it now, waaah! How fun!

Everyday make-up in 2 minutes

This is what I look like on the days I kind of do not have time to put on make-up, when you love your make-up tattoos a bit extra very! :)

img_8759_111

Now my lip tattoo is ready !! Nice huh? Or kind of finished haha, I want to make some highlighter in the contours too;)

The only makeup I have on these pictures is foundation and blush, goes as fast as possible! I have used Pixi H2O Skintint* and gloMinerals Blush* in the shade Papaya.

In addition to lips, I have also tattooed eyebrows, lashliner (between the eyelashes) and a light inliner along the waterline. It opens up and frames the look even without mascara :)

Blue Mascara Look

Have you seen Yves Rocher's news? Mascara Vertige Longueur in the shade Bleu Gris? I got a press sample of it a while ago and it is so, so, so nice!

Bleu Gris is not similar to the classic blue colors that are usually on mascara (clear blue or navy blue) but is more light denim blue and I who love blue mascara fell flat on my face :)

In today's makeup, I have not only used this mascara on the lashes but also as an eyeliner! Became super good indeed!

This is what mascara looks like, with a narrow spiral brush that is like a screw instead of spikes.

Helena likes - Yves Rocher Scrub to Mix

One of Yves Rocher's news is a facial peeling called Scrub to Mix** and is a completely natural exfoliating powder that is mixed with the cleanser that suits your skin type and then turns into a specially adapted peeling.

Super good idea I think! It is almost always something you otherwise want to change in a facial peel, too much grain, too little grain, too creamy, too oily, too jelly, etc. But this can be mixed with any cleanser, and also adjust the amount of peeling grain. It's so much a matter of taste how much grain you want in your peeling, and I want quite a lot in the T-zone but very little in the temples and at the jaw area.

I have received some press samples of the latest news and started testing them immediately, as I wanted to get the reviews out before the weekend because Yves Rocher has on his website a great Halloween campaign until November 1st! If you enter the discount code ”TREAT16“You get an optional product at no extra cost when ordering. You get the first product you add to the shopping cart :)

Use
I rinse my face, take a click of my usual cleanser in my hand, and pour on a small amount of scrubbing powder and mix these directly with my fingertips. Then I massage the peel into the face with a focus on the T-zone.

Is it good to peel with barley?
Many skin therapists say that you should use peels with enzymes or acid that exfoliate without scrubbing the skin, because the grains tear into the skin. I do not know what is right or wrong but personally love to also use mechanical peels that scrub properly! It is the fastest way to get rid of dead skin cells and get more radiance in the skin. Then it is important what kind of grain you use, they should not be too sharp or hard and you should never use an exfoliation for the body to the face.

My review
I think Yves Rocher Scrub to Mix is great and gets two thumbs up from me! You scrub the skin with a lot of grain and an effective scrubbing effect at the same time as the grains are small and do not feel tearing on the skin. The bottle is small and handy with a large opening that makes it easy to get the powder out. In addition, it is made from only natural ingredients.

The price is also affordable, SEK 79 and is available at Yvesrocher.se**.
