Smoky eyes before & after

Last Saturday I had a customer who was going on a cruise and wanted a nice party make-up on the boat :)

We made smokey eyes in black and brown which enlarged the eyes very nicely!

Here is the result! Surely she fits well in smoky eyes? :) She has lash extensions so she was used to pretty dark around the eyes already.

Event with IsaDora

Last Thursday I was at such an incredibly nice press event with IsaDora!

IsaDora is releasing a tropical summer collection, but also a completely new mascara that will give a crazy amount of volume, very exciting.

And the event itself was very cozy! With great drinks, good food and above all incredibly wonderful people. I have colleagues now, but there is still no one who really, really understands how I work and what I really do "inside the office". Except Miska then of course. So it's always fun to meet the "blog colleagues" too! :)

So this sleeve, metallic pink, love it !!

Lots of new nail polish in summer colors!

A new bronzer.

This strobing stick that IsaDora will launch soon seems absolutely magical!

Pick eyebrows Uppsala

I love that you appreciate when I show pictures of the customers at the salon, because I love to take before and after pictures! :)

Today I had a very fun eyebrow plucking, a girl who has had a hard time getting in good shape herself even though she has quite a lot of eyebrows anyway. But they are at a slightly different height and she has very long straws, and when you have to shape a lot with the help of scissors, it immediately becomes a higher degree of difficulty and difficult to get nice yourself.

But they turned out really nice! I both picked and filled in the brows Pixi Natural Brow Duo in the shade Natural Brown, which is an eyebrow pencil with both pencil and fringe that combs the straws in place and makes them lie nicely all day.

When you have a little asymmetrical eyebrows, you should start by asking yourself if you prefer it to look best when you are unmade, or if you want it to look best when you put on make-up. Because if you still fill them in every day, the latter is perhaps a better alternative, as well as the alternative this girl chose.

This is because if you look at the middle picture where the eyebrows are completely unmade up, the right eyebrow looks narrower because it is so sparse with straw at the "highest point". Had she wanted the most beautiful unmade-up, I would not have picked as much from the underside but let the shape be wider there. But it did not grow very much there either.

But instead we left the small straws at the highest point, and still picked some from the underside. Because then when she fills in the eyebrows she can only fill in more at the highest point and then the shape becomes very similar to the other eyebrow :)

Since they sit at a slightly different height is still not something you think about in reality actually, it is so minimal and when you talk and move, your eyebrows move all the time as well. Always better to have two similar shapes I think.

White Eyeliner

The mail came just when I had done my bass make-up yesterday and was going to start with the eyes, and there was a white eyeliner that I could not help but put my paws on immediately;)

A quarter of an hour later I looked like this:

Fint va? Love white and looked like this at an event with IsaDora yesterday :)

Have been craving a white eyeliner for a super long time now, but haven't grabbed the thing and bought one. But now Maybelline New York has launched a new dip liner "Master Ink" in the shade Matte White which I got a press test on yesterday, and I love it!

A little difficult to get nice because it gets quite hard when it dries if you do not apply super thin (but then it does not become full coverage). But otherwise I like it a lot!

The eyeliner is available in stores from week 19 and costs SEK 99.

Bassmink:
Face primer - Paese Makeup Base (Matte)
Foundation - Pixi H2O Skintint (Cream)
Powder that neutralizes red - gloMinerals Redness Relief Powder

Paint the eyeliner along the entire lash line, Maybelline Master Ink (11 Matte White)
Continue with the eyeliner and paint an eyeliner wing
Black eyeliner at the bottom of the entire white eyeliner, Paese Liquid eyeliner
White shimmery eye shadow in the corner of the eye, Yag mineral eyeshadow (white)
Black mascara on the upper lashes, Magnetic lash mascara

Received an email the other day:

Hi Helena! You mentioned in your post about the Swedish Beauty & Cosmetics Awards 2016 that Annika was completely unmade up at the gala. Can't you show a picture of her own tattoos on her face so you can see what it looks like? Am so eager to tattoo both eyebrows, eyes and lips, whiten teeth and color and permanent eyelashes with you before the summer and be DOSSY on the beach and then never have to put on makeup again. But I'm a little unsure of what it really looks like, your tattoos are very nice but quite discreet, I still want to look made up and fixed all the time. Thanks for a great blog! Hug, L ”

As I said, we are planning signage for our large windows in the salon, and I play photographer full time almost;) The other day I took a picture of beautiful Annika who started Creative Make Up, and is THE Annika who does all the nice eyebrow tattoos I have put on published in the blog now and then for several years now. So incredibly fascinated by this still!

Annika herself never puts on make-up anymore, and by never does I really mean never. She is a skin care nerd and has products in her fridge at home instead of food, and is a diligent user of lip balm, but she does not use makeup at all!

Look how beautiful she is:

Eyebrows
Smoky eyeliner up and down, on the top it is smoky with both black and brown
Light aligns along the waterline and highlights in the corner of the eye
Freckles
Lips + highlighter in the middle and around. Her lips are about an inch wider than her natural lips!

French:
Annika colors and permanents her eyelashes regularly so that it looks like she has mascara constantly. She also uses Beautylash to lengthen their lashes.

Cool huh? And so nice! Had I not blogged about makeup, I would have tattooed in as much right away, no doubt about it :) She wakes up like this, bathes like this, trains like this, completely crazy!
