Our makeup artist Sandra

Since I can not clone myself;) so we looked for a makeup artist to employees of Creative Makeup By Her, so that I can still have time for the blog and everything around the store. A person who has the same values about makeup as me, and above all who is interested in products and thinks that makeup is as fun as I do!

One of the people we had a job interview with was Sandra, who Annika knew from before when the two actually went to the same makeup training :) And we decided almost immediately on her, super lovely personality and also great experience, knowledge and talent in makeup.

Sandra has lived and worked in England for 7 years, and has worked both at Debenhamns (department store with both fashion and beauty) and been self-employed and freelance as a makeup artist with her company Visual Cosmetics. Then she traveled around different countries and for several years in a row she worked with Italy and London's fashion weeks, was Foo Fighters' standing makeup artist in Europe and put makeup on before big TV shows in England. Among other things, made up with Julia Roberts herself for a perfume show in England!

In 2012, she and her husband decided to move to Sweden, as they were expecting their second child and wanted a calmer everyday life. And now she jumps directly from working at Rituals in Gränby Centrum to us at Creative Makeup By Her :)

At Sandra you can book make-up and make-up consultations, and also fringe and eyebrow treatments! You can either call us on 018 10 50 13 or book online directly on the website.

I really recommend a make-up consultation, it costs SEK 795 and then you get make-up at the same time as she explains everything carefully, and then you get to choose products for the entire sum also! Then it will be much easier to do the same at home later with really good make-up that is personally shopped for you and your colors :) - Perfect to give as a gift too!

Twisted a picture from Sandra's Facebook so you can see a face too;) We will take pictures of all the staff at the salon and write more about everyone on the website as soon as possible.

If you have any questions, just shout!

Chanel No. 5 Deodorant

I think it's very boring to blog about products that I do not like, but at the same time I also want to write about them so that you do not spend money on these products and will be disappointed later if you think like me.

This day I tested deodorants Chanel N ° 5 for the first time, and had so high hopes! When I think about it, I do not think I have ever smelled the perfume, which is a bit strange, it must be considered a cool type :) but I mixed that perfume with another, and got for me that it smells mega good!

So I really hoped that this deon would be a favorite, partly because it is a spray which feels hygienic and good, but also because it looks so heavenly luxurious and nice. Imagine being able to use such a nice Chanel deodorant every morning!

White and gold, so nice! And when you hold the bottle, it feels really luxurious. I was super happy when I got home a press sample of this one a while ago.

But you do not feel any odor from the spray hole when it is completely unused, so I simply sprayed two quick sprays in each armpit directly, and regretted it as soon as the fumes reached the nose…

The scent came in the 20's and is anything but youthful, and this deodorant is really reminiscent of an older lady, I must say. Far from a Helena scent unfortunately!

Gets almost the urge to empty it on the contents and pour in another deodorant instead, just to keep the feeling of luxury;)

What do you think of Chanel N ° 5? Elevator or diss?

Eye Polish makeup

In November, Pür Minerals releases a news I have fallen in love with - Eye Polish!

Pür Minerals Eye Polish is a liquid eye shadow, not a cream, not a mousse, but a liquid. I got it in the goodie bag at Pür Minerals' press breakfast a few weeks ago and have been very skeptical, I must admit. I who hardly like cream eye shadows.

But to my great surprise, I am completely in love, the shadow is very easy to apply, gives a pigment-rich and metallic shimmering result, and I already feel that I want more shades! :)

The day's make-up is done with this shade in the shade Velvet which is a super nice little plum purple shade!

The eye shadow should work both as an eye shadow primer and as an eye shadow, and you should not need a primer at all. It is liquid when applied but dries and fixes quickly.

But I use eyeshadow primer underneath, it certainly works well as an eyeshadow primer on people who do not have as oily skin as me, because the shadows adhere well on top and it lasts much better than without primer. But at the end of the day, it had creased a little at the bottom of the eyelid for me, so I can not recommend it to 100 without primer, but with eye shadow primer it sits like a rock!

When you apply the shadow (with a rubber applicator that is included), you can either get razor-sharp edges, or a little softer by slightly dabbing out the color a little at the edges. But with the rubber applicator, it is very difficult to get a very nice fade, but as soon as the shadow has dried, which it does very quickly, you can blur the edges a bit with a makeup brush.

And so I think when it comes to such sparkling metallic shades that it is super nice to apply a completely matte dark shadow in the crease line, so that there is more contrast to the eyelid, and so I did in my first makeup with this eye shadow!

Fint va? The metallic shimmering result is much more effective in reality I must add :)

Eyeshadow primer, Pixi Eye Bright Primer
Plum purple metallic eye shadow on the entire eyelid, Pür Minerals Eye Polish (Velvet) which will be released in November
Brown eyeshadow along the globe line, Paese Kashmir Eyeshadow (609)
Black eyeliner along the upper lash line, Paese Penliner
Black mascara on all lashes, ShowOff Mascara

Lip pencil on the entire lips, Dr. Hauschka Lipliner (01 Brown)

Entrepreneur talk in the blog

Today I have:
♥ Started the day with a long morning of sleep, with my cat Carl-Philip cooing on his stomach
♥ Had breakfast in front of a romantic movie with Miska
♥ Drank coffee out on the stairs in the sun, it is still warm :)
♥ Took a long shower with hair wrap and scrubbed the whole body
♥ And now I sit in front of the computer with a face mask, freshly painted toenails and eat chocolate. The wood-burning stove is burning full here, and I feel completely calm in my soul!

It is very important to rest and treat yourself to everyday luxury. I'm in a stressful work period right now with everything new that has kicked off, even though of course everything is mega fun! And therefore I am terrified of losing the quality of life, you must not forget to live in the present and enjoy all the fun that happens - if you miss it, all career is unnecessary in any case. I have never built a career before, but if you are learning from the mistakes of others, it seems easy to stress so much that you do not have time to stop and enjoy. And all of a sudden you die without having lived the dream life that you have actually had.

Do you understand what I mean? Everyday luxury is really vital! :)

I started to reflect more on this after last Thursday, I was at City Hall's fashion show and took an AW with Tove Castor from Visualists. We are two girls who have known each other for about 3 years, and what did we talk about from beginning to end? Entrepreneurship! :)

Tove and I at the opening of Creative Makeup By Her!

Every time we sit down and talk, you get so heavenly inspired! You know when you just bubble ideas and time goes by so fast. When you have a slightly different job that I have, it is not possible to spray ideas like this with anyone, many come with advice but if you do not have full understanding, it is rarely suitable advice haha.

But Tove is one of the few people who actually comes up with really good ideas, and what struck me on Thursday was that there is so much to develop and do better, but that the only block that puts a stop is lack of time, and you have to realize that you can not do everything yourself. Then everything is done half-heartedly at the same time as you yourself stress apart.

But, instead of one's humanity putting a stop to it, one must instead think again! Why should I put a lot of work into things that I do not have time to do wholeheartedly, damn what a waste of resources!

I already have an employee in my company, and now I already have thoughts on more :) Nothing in the very near future, you have to make sure that it is financially possible as well, but I really think that if the cornerstone of a company (in this case I) have time and energy to do a few things wholeheartedly instead everything half-heartedly, the company will earn everyone's salary with gusto and develop much, much faster in any case.

Several of you have written to me that you get the urge to start your own when you read about the new store and salon - which makes me extremely happy! So I hope you get inspired, and even though this post was long and maybe a little diffuse, I wonder if you want to read more about entrepreneurship here in the blog? :)

I'm not a classic entrepreneur, I'm young, I take it one step at a time, and above all I do it my own way. Maybe it would be fun to get it as a natural part of the blog, a little "behind the scenes" in my career journey :) Or what do you think?

It was a bit of Sunday chatter, a rested brain that wanted to ventilate :) Now I'm going to make a cup of coffee and go through some makeup pictures that I have not published yet. Hugs are! ♥

Stone, scissors, bag and who will do the dishes

2

Today I have almost been completely free, super nice and at the same time a little unusual as we have worked so hiiimla a lot lately. But it is important to rest as well, you have to force yourself to do it sometimes even though you feel lazy when the computer and the long to-do list are next to it all the time.

And speaking of laziness… now we have just eaten pulled pork burgers at my mother's and are trying to solve the problem of who should take the dishes, and nothing wants it less than me;)
