Get good at makeup!

I got a funny question the other day which I for fun thought to answer in a post :)

"Very nice!! Come and think of one thing, you who have taught yourself .. How often nowadays you start to do a make-up and it gets weirder and weirder the more you do so in the end you think "but wafan" and wash it off? Because it happens quite often when you yourself are not so good;) so it would just be fun to know if it happened to you, haha :) "

Haha, that's probably a high recognition factor for many, including me! You think ”A little more of that color maybe…”  ”Oh how cool if I do this too!”  ”Hmm it was not as easy as I thought”  ”Hjäääälp!

But with the risk of sounding like a besserwisser before you read the explanation, I can probably say that in principle Never happens to me, barely before either actually. That it goes so far that I wash it off then.

And it's not because I'm good, or that I never make a mistake, or that an idea always gets good, but I think the whole reason I've become good and self-taught from the beginning is because I never give up ! I'm not just pedantic I'm stubborn too :)

I will definitely remove / redo some parts of a make-up sometimes to get it good, but I have as a principle to never stop until I am satisfied (relatively satisfied in any case) no matter what it looks like. Then it is different for all people how to define the word satisfied.

By not starting over, but saving the situation instead, you will be better at both technology and problem solving! Being a good makeup artist is not just about doing nice make-up, it is also important to be able to rethink if the idea you had did not turn out as well in practice. And if we are talking makeup artist at a professional level, it is not at all uncommon to e.g. plates the same model in different make-up - then you have to know how to redo a make-up so that it becomes a completely different one :)

The only time I can remember washing my face was the first time I tested a blue eyeshadow, I thought the shadow was nice but that I got so ugly that I could not keep looking in the mirror haha. Funny how that can change!

My tip to all of you who want to be good, whether it's for your own sake or professionally - Do make-up that is outside your comfort zone, do weird color combinations, and how not to stop until it gets good!

And a more concrete tip for practicing transitions and mixing different eye shadows, is to do colorful make-up with lots of different colors! :)

If you can mix 10 colorful eye shadows with each other, an everyday make-up like this is a piece of cake :)

Hugs are! ♥

Nice Saturday!

Tonight I'm going to a launch event for a new oil if I have understood it correctly! And after that I thought I would take the opportunity to drive a night out with Nicolin when I'm still in Stockholm late on a Saturday night :) I think it's dancing loose at a soul club that is on the agenda then, it's standard!

I do not know much more about the event than that it is at Berns and that it is a dress code dress. I'm not usually the one who spruces me up super much, but today I actually felt for it, so I run on a set hairstyle a la Mia, snug tight narrow-legged dress, heels, lipstick and the whole choir!

You can never be for nice as well;)

Now I'm going to run to the bus in the snow with a nice dress and small heels, haha. Hope you have as wonderful a Saturday night as I do, no matter what you come up with ♥

Mature skin concealer

I want to tell you about a concealer for mature skin that I think is great!

It is Gold Age Defying Concealer which is specially formulated for the sensitive skin under the eyes and has an anti-aging effect. I got it home as a press test a while ago and now use it every time I use liquid foundation :)

I like this concealer the most because the formula is so thin but still opaque! It is important to have a thin consistency under the eyes, because oily / thick concealers can become cakey and unnatural on the thin skin, and in addition they often settle in the creases around the eyes.

But this gives a nice and natural result and it is kept in place even in skin folds and wrinkles!

It is available in two different shades and I have Ivory Beige which has a yellow undertone and therefore neutralizes blue under the eyes.

I personally do not have much to cover under the eyes, but mostly just want to brighten up. So this concealer would probably have done better on before and after pictures of someone who has more blue under the eyes because then I think it makes a bigger difference!

But I still use it because the result is so nice and then I only supplement with a little brightening concealer, and do not have to use the light concealer both to cover and brighten up. And a little anti-age effect has probably never hurt, I think;)

I like the application top on the tube too, soft and easy to apply under the eyes! I lubricate with the help of it, and then I dab a little with my finger to get a perfectly even result.

The concealer gets two thumbs up from me in other words! It costs SEK 155 HERE.

Friday Fun!

7

I'm sitting here this Friday night and literally laughing so I'm crying - to myself haha!

While everyone else my age is out on the galley, I have fun in front of the camera and the remote shutter release! It's so that I got an idea and thought I would take super cool hair pictures on the moving hair, but it was not the easiest thing to say so;)

I headbanged both forwards and backwards, ruffled my hands, shook in a lot of different ways and thought all the time when I was doing that ”this is going to look so fucking cool in the camera !!!

But… here are the two very best pictures I got:

hair-in-motion

And everyone else was at this level:

roiga hair pictures

Hahaha! :) Do you know how difficult it is to look good on your face at the same time? Not because the hair looks particularly cool either for it haha but what's up with my facial expressions!

This is supposed to be the best, I look like an old waving pencil troll! ”Well, well bloggeeen” :)

Luckily I have not invested in a modeling career in any case!

6 years!

Yesterday I worked at Creative Make Up in the usual order, and my last customer was so much fun to do! I never ask to take pictures because it feels so fiery, but a before and after picture would have been very fun to have actually. Dense, large and completely unpicked eyebrows that became so gryyyymt beautiful !! Both she and I went home with a smile then :)

Anyway, that's not really what I was going to say. After the work day, I met the makeup blogger Caroline from Ensomcaroline.se, who did an interview with me, super nice!

She asked how long I have been blogging (totally, not just about makeup) and after a bit of counting on my fingers, it struck me that this month celebrates my blog for a whole 6 years !!!

On January 6, 2009, I started blogging, then just about my everyday life, and that means that I have been blogging for a few days more than 6 years now. Crazy!

This was my first beauty-oriented post - I slept with a braid in the middle of my head and the next day I had both curly hair with lots of volume! Written January 10, 2009, I was 15 years old :)

What if I had known then how much the blog has in my life today!
