Sunset makeup - Orange makeup

My palette with 180 eye shadows has been at my mom's house for a super long time, but today I took it home to Miska (where I always am when I put on my make-up) and played with the colors in it!

Something I have learned over the years is that when you need inspiration, new products are not the best, but what is most effective is to pick out something you used a lot before! :)

My 180 palette has been based on their range but I sometimes see it on other websites, but I do not remember where now just for that. So click here so you see what it looks like, and can keep your eyes open in other places if you are hungry.

It became a sunset-inspired look! What do you think? :)

The nice lip pencil is Dr. Hauschka Lip Liner in shade 03 Soft Rosé.

Yellow eye shadow in the corner of the eye and on the inside of the eyelid.
Orange eye shadow in the middle of the eyelid.
Brown eye shadow along the lower lash line, at the end of the eyelid and along the globe line.
Black eye shadow sooted at the end of the eyelid.
Black eyeliner along the upper lash line, IsaDora Fine Liner Eye Stylo.

Hope you were inspired!

Amika Un.Done Texture Spray

When I am completely freshly showered with Sanctum's shampoo and conditioner + hair oil after that, I really have baby smooth and super soft hair when it has dried, I love it!

The only problem is that when the whole hair is so soft, they are not particularly nice either in the scalp or the fringe that is a little shorter than the rest of the hair. The hair is completely flat on the head, and because it is so airy and light, the fringe hangs either in front of the eyes or I have to have it behind the ears. Both hard and becomes a very boring hairstyle!

And even though I love dry shampoo, I do not want so much of it right after the shower, preferably not at all, because because I have quite sensitive scalp that starts itching from dry shampoo after a few days (I wash my hair about 4-5 days apart) so I want to keep it clean as long as possible so that it can air a little.

Then is Amika Texture Spray great! I got home some Amika products a while ago and this spray is actually the only one of their products that I have fallen for 100%!

This is how the spray is described on Eleven.se:
“A fantastic texture spray that adds extreme volume to your hair! Its invisible, dry formula contains Zeolite, a natural mineral, for a totally glamorous haircut. Your hair feels full with a wild and matte finish! ”

First of all, the product is super good but no extreme volume I do not think it gives. But the rest I can probably agree with :)

I spray on the hair on the scalp (not directly on the scalp as with dry shampoo but try to get it to end up mainly on the strands) and a little in front of the bangs, and leave the long lengths that I still want so baby soft.

The spray is transparent and the hair is still airy and feels neither rough nor unwashed, but it gets more firmness and is much easier to handle! I get a little more volume in the scalp, and above all I manage to get the fringe to lie nicely on the side without having to have it behind the ears or in a hair clip!

I can really recommend the spray to you who have fine / thin hair! Perfect when you want a carelessly fixed hairstyle or just freely released without looking like a licked cat :)

I can also imagine that it is good for you with shorter bangs who have a hard time getting it to lie well when you are freshly showered!

Amika Un.Done Texture Spray costs SEK 229 and is available e.g. HERE!

Hope you get a good start to the week!

Another woke up at 5 o'clock when Miska was boiling eggs and half an hour later I was sitting at the kitchen table and was served breakfast without having to lift a finger. I call it good Monday morning! :) ♥

A little extra grooming

3

Something that many are bad at, is to indulge in a little extra grooming. I also have periods when I'm not so good at it, when the long to-do list takes over.

But to treat yourself to a long shower / bath, turn on calm music, scrub the body, wear hair wrap and face mask, light candles, fix your nails, snuggle in a blanket, drink a cup of tea, etc. Simply relax and do everyday chores. cozy moment where you do everything a little extra carefully. It will give results on both your inner and outer beauty! :)

Today I have worked a lot with the webshop (such a job that makes a big difference for me and that must be done, but which you do not see as much of) and now Miska and I will have a real take-care-of-ourselves-cozy evening at home in mom's house. We start with a hot bath together, and then it will be cozy in front of the wood stove! Heaven wonderful!

We wish you a wonderful Sunday evening! ♥

Dr. Hauschka Stone Color Palette

The skin around the eyes is very thin and sensitive, so if you have a specific color scale that you always use, I think it is smart to buy a good and caring palette instead of using eye shadows with less good quality.

Dr. Hauschka Stone Color Palette the contents include jojoba oil, silk and medicinal herbs that give a smooth and caring eye shadow, and the shades are down to earth and very nice!

The box is glossy black and luxurious, and the shadows are large and last super long! In addition, the box contains a make-up mirror, which I think is super good! However, the included makeup brush is not something I personally use, I prefer makeup brushes with straws.

The palette costs SEK 345, but if this is a color scheme for you, see it as an investment! The shadows are great and the palette will last for any length of time :)

The nice thing about selling a brand that already exists in many places in Sweden, is that you can easily find reviews and see what others think. Here are excerpts from two blog posts I found:

Vanillakissemiss.blogspot.se This eyeshadow palette, Stone Color Collection from Dr. Hauschka, is probably the best eyeshadow purchase I have ever made! I'm damn happy to say the least! I have been looking for a good eye shadow with matte earthy / brownish colors and the Stone Color Collection has nice matte colors. ”

Ingridbbeautiful.wordpress.com – “The shadows are incredibly easy to get good-looking. The colors are very nice and fit most people. The darkest is not as dark as it looks but nice! I'm very glad I hit on this one. Suitable for both everyday and party. ”

This is how the shades look on the fingers, and when you tone them out, they blend well into the skin and become very natural and beautiful!

Makeup tips hanging eyes & hooded eyes

When I published mine posts about eyeliner for hooded eyes and droopy eyes, I was asked to show tips with eye shadow as well. So it's coming now! :)

I use the same image where I press down on the skin a bit to show what happens when the skin fold from the globe line goes quite far out:

1-hooded-eyes

Tip 1 - These eye shapes often show only slightly or nothing at all of the eyelid when looking straight ahead. So if you close your eyes and apply eye shadow only on that area, it will in principle only be visible when you blink. It can be a nice effect, but if you want the make-up to be visible all the time, you should make up a little bit above the globe line as well so that it is visible even when you look straight ahead!

A trick is to look straight ahead in the mirror, and mark with the eyeshadow how high you want it to go depending on how much you want it to be visible. Then you can start from that marking when you make up the eyelid.

eyeshadow-hooded-eyes

Tip 2 And if you want two colors and that both should be visible at the same time, skip the eyeliner so that the eyeshadow on the eyelid reaches down to the fringe, and then you can apply the other color along the globe line. Then both will be visible! In the picture you see an example of how to apply the colors.

hooded-eyes

Tip 3 - If you want a more elongated cat eye shape on the make-up, it is a good idea to put make-up so far out that you "embed" the entire crease line crease. Then it does not matter how you move the eyes, that crease will in any case not make the makeup look choppy or uneven.

To easily get this nice, it is a good idea to also apply eye shadow on the underside of the eye and "tie together" the makeup in the outer corner of the eye. Read mine previous posts about cat eyes for more tips!

Tip 4 - If you want to make a cat eye shape with two different colors, it is smart to apply the outermost color a fairly long distance into the eyelid, so that the transition does not end up exactly in the skin fold. Because then the transition can look uneven depending on how you look with your eyes.

make-up-eyes-larger

Tip 5 - If you want to enlarge the look and make the eyelid look even bigger, you can apply that color to the eyelid and along the globe line, and then make one new goblin line marking that sits higher up than your real globe line!

But still think about the tip I wrote in point 4, do not put the transition between the shadows right in the skin fold.

eyebrows-hooded-eyes

Tip 6 - My last tip is about the eyebrow. Here the outer edge of my eyebrow slopes quite a bit downwards because I press it down. But many have the natural shape that it follows the eye in the same downward slope. But if you can (it depends on how your eyebrow grows) then it is a good tip to shape the outer edge more to the side than down, because then you look up more. Because if the eyebrow has the same downward slope as the eye, you mark that the eye hangs a little down.

Hope you understood everything and that my tips were helpful! ♥
