Permanent eyelashes

A late post today, had dinner with Frida after work (super cozy!) and then I have been and colored / permanent my eyelashes on Creative Make Up in Uppsala. (Costs SEK 650 for both permanent + color)

I'm sooo happy! I thought I had pretty curved eyelashes before, but now I realize that was not the case;)

Now my eye tattoos are highlighted much better too, when I darken my eyelashes!

That's such a big difference !!!

Best salon available :)

Completely unmade.

I will be so damn good looking on the beach in Greece;)

Now I thought I would tell you more about the make-up tattoos, and I start with the tattoo I did first - the eyebrows!

The eyebrows are the tattoo that I feel was most worth doing. Having a pair of well-shaped eyebrows that suits your face shape - and also waking up with them every morning, it makes a big difference to the whole impression!

I tattooed my eyebrows because I have too sparse eyebrows to be able to pick the shape I want. And since I still put on so much make-up, I picked them narrow enough to be able to paint my "dream shape" without any straws sticking out. Which resulted in them not being so pretty unmade up.

And when I still tattooed, I took the opportunity to raise the highest point a little too, because I think it's so nice!

My eyebrows, before and immediately after.

1. What you start with when you get to the tattoo artist, is that together draw a shape and determine the color. The makeup artist draws a flattering shape that fits the face. Usually you make two slightly different eyebrows, so that the customer can choose the most beautiful.

2. After that picks remove all straws that are out of shape. A common misconception is that you have to shave your real eyebrows before, which is not true!

Then add one anesthetic cream which works for 15 minutes.

4. Then tattoo the shape once without color. This is done to be able to wash away what you have drawn up, but still keep the shape to tattoo after.

5. Now it's time to tattoo "for real". The technology that most people use today is a so-called hair strand technique, which means that you tattoo small lines to get a more natural result. Annika on Creative Make Up, with whom I got a tattoo, has developed my own hair straightening technique that looks even more natural!

6. You always tattoo in several rounds during a treatment, and replenishes with anesthesia. Partly to get as even a result as possible, but also to keep the area stunned at all times. If you constantly switch between the eyebrows, the anesthetic has time to act on one eyebrow while tattooing the other.

7. The tattoo looks great dark out when done, and is often red and slightly swollen. The swelling usually lasts only a few hours, but the dark color can last for a few days.

8. When the tattoo heals so flakes the. I got a greasy cream that helped a lot, so that they flaked did not actually bother me at all.

9. After the tattoo has healed, you come to one revisit, when looking at whether the color feels right, and if there is something that needs to be corrected or filled in.

Here are more examples of eyebrows, tattooed at the same salon as me:

Did it hurt?
No, in the places where it felt a little more, it still did no worse than plucking the eyebrows.

What color do you choose?
You usually start from the hair color, but a tip is to bring a brow pencil / shadow that you usually fill in with. So you can start from it. You must also keep in mind that the tattoo should look good even without make-up, so you often choose a shade that is a little lighter than the one you are painting.

Should you pick your eyebrows before?
No, it is always best to start from where your own hairs are when choosing an eyebrow shape. So save as much straw as possible in advance.

Permanent makeup - General info

0

Glad that many wanted to know more about permanent make up, I thought to divide everything into different posts so you do not have to read a whole essay at once :)

I thought I would start with some general info!

I have tattooed eyebrows, lashliner, inliner and lips, at Annika Söderlund at Creative Make Up in Uppsala.

What is permanent makeup?
Permanent make up, or cosmetic micropigmentation, is when tattooing makeup to correct or enhance the natural features.

What is the difference between permanent makeup and a regular tattoo?
The tattoos pale with time, which is a conscious choice so that you can change colors and lines as the skin changes with age. The needle does not go as deep, and the colors are there to fade.

If you want to continue to have the tattoo, you have to fill in at regular intervals, but filling in is cheaper than doing the tattoo from the beginning.

Does it hurt?
Unlike a regular tattoo, this does not hurt much, because you use an effective one anesthetic cream which is allowed to work for 15 minutes.

Me personally (which has a low pain threshold) thinks that the lips hurt the least, then the eyebrows and eyes were just uncomfortable on getting reflexes. However, you close your eyes all the time when you tattoo your eyes, which felt pretty good.

But nothing directly hurt, it can feel a little in some places, but it makes it worse to pick the eyebrows than to tattoo them! My sister who has done her eyebrows twice has stopped using anesthesia because she thinks it is unnecessary.

How long does it last?
How long the tattoo lasts depends on age, skin type and how dark the color you choose. Dark brown brows last longer than blondes. But it can also be affected by metabolism, weather, skin care products and sun.

Normal shelf life for eyebrows is about 1-5 years, 2-5 years for lips and 5-8 years for eyeliner. If you use white paint along the waterline, the result will be permanent.

What does permanent makeup cost?
Tattoos are quite expensive (here there is Creative Make Up's price list). But there are package prices if you want to do several tattoos at the same time.

Take no risks !! Do not go for a cheap tattoo artist who can be frivolous! Annika at Creative Make Up often gets customers who have to delete / edit failed tattoos (made both in Sweden and abroad) which will be much more expensive in the end.

What can you tattoo?
Eyebrows, lips and eyeliner are the most common, but you can also tattoo highligher, blush and mouch.

Annika Söderlund, with whom I have tattooed myself, is very creative, and has also done motif tattoos and freckles!

You can also modify facial features, and for example tattoo your lips larger.

Who does permanent makeup?
The majority of customers are actually a little older, many want to enhance their natural features that have faded over the years. But anyone can do it for different reasons.

  • People with sparse eyebrows / lashes or indistinct lip contours.
  • People who due to vision changes have difficulty putting on make-up.
  • People who are very stressed and have little time to put on make-up.
  • People who train a lot and want to look good even during the sweatiest workouts.
  • People who suffer from, for example, allergies and watery eyes or experience that the make-up is not left where it should be.
  • People who want to look fresh around the clock, regardless of weather and activity.
  • People who suffer from spotty hair loss or scars on the scalp or eyebrows.

What happens when the tattoos heal?
It usually takes about a week for a tattoo to heal. Immediately afterwards, you are often swollen, and the tattoo is several shades darker than the result will be. The tattoo can also look uneven, due to the swelling.

Permanent makeup heals just like regular tattoos - flakes. This has been quite hard on the lips, but the rest of my tattoos have not been at all awkward in that way. However, the eyes got a lot of "dream sand" during the night, so the eyelashes were stuck together the first two mornings.

The lips became dry and stiff, in addition, they are very dark immediately afterwards, which attracts attention. Idomine ointment has been my best friend!

Bale makeup step by step

0

I get a lot of questions about step by step for prom make-up now, fun!

But it is impossible for me to give each person a step by step, I hope you understand. On the one hand, it takes a lot of time, I probably get two questions a day. In addition, almost everyone asks for similar make-up but a little different.

So now I thought instead of showing a "basic balsam makeup" that you can all use :)

In principle, everyone asks for a very simple make-up that highlights the eyes but is still a bit discreet.

Here is a tutorial on a light make-up, which can easily be varied with the choice of colors, eyeliner and darkness on the shadows!

I have used one and the same make-up brush for the whole make-up (except eyeliner)

Im going to sleep now! Have sat and blogged a lot today even though you did not notice it - preparing posts for Greece. Exactly one week left now! Wiiie! :)

Kiss hug!
