Date makeup

1

Ellen sa…
Hi Helena! I'm going on a date with a guy this weekend and need some makeup help. I'm looking for a sexy but not too exaggerated makeup as I know he likes natural looks. Nothing on the lips, but preferably something that highlights them. I have blue eyes with green splashes in them. I would be very happy if you helped me!

Oh how fun! Here are my top two tips:

1. Intense eyes requires less makeup, and at the same time gives this "sexy" effect without feeling over-made up.

2. From experience;) so I know a little small color click at the end of the eyelid / upper lash line makes the eye more flirty! There is something interesting happening in his eyes, and he will not be able to stop looking into your eyes;)

Here is my interpretation - A semi-intense make-up that does not stand out in the crowd directly, but makes you want to look a little closer.

1. Add one light yellow / white eye shadow at the inside of the eyelid and lower lash line, as well as in the corner of the eye and under the brow.
Annika's favorite shadow, Eyedust (No.1)

Tip: If you want a more natural look, choose a matte eye shadow instead of shimmery.

2. Add one very light brown eye shadow along the globe line.
GloBlush Powder Rouge (Sunset)

There should only be a hint of shadow, so that the black shadow does not get as much contrast to the skin, but blends in a little better.

3. Soot with one black eye shadow at the bottom of the eyelid, mostly at the outer edge.
Smashbox (Kiss' N Tell)

Be sure to blur a lot so that you do not get sharp edges. When you soot such a small part of the eye, it can help to have a smaller brush.

4. Divide the inner lash line with black and white eyeliner.
White eyeliner innermost on the inner lash line, H&M.
Black eyeliner at the end of the inner lash line,  Gloprecisio Eye Pencil (Black)

The black eyeliner gives the eye a more intense look, while the white opens the eye more. If you want it even more intense, apply black eyeliner whole inner fringe.

5. Add one turquoise eyeliner at the top of the upper lash line.
Yves Rocher Waterproof Kajal (05 Turquoise)

You can of course use whichever color you feel best in. IsaDora is also good metallic eyeliner which I can recommend for this :)

6. End with black mascara on all upper and outer lower lashes.
Make Up Store, Multilash.

Not applying mascara on all lower lashes is also a detail that gives a flirty impression, while not adding more makeup!

For your lips, I recommend lypsyl + rouge!
Apply lip balm to the entire lips, and dab a pink ruoge (not shimmery) with your blush brush. Then you get a natural result that does not look made up, while they get a little livelier shade :)

Hope you are happy with my tutorial, and that you feel shitty on the date!

Good luck!

Make-up eyes that are tight

Emma sa…
I wonder if you have any tips or tricks on making your eyes look like they are not so tight, which mine do ..

What you do is that mark the eyes at the outer edges, so that it is lighter on the inside and darker on the outside.

The most effective is to put dark eye shadow on the outer part of the eyelid, but you can also play with other details!

Ex. Dark eyeliner at the end of the lash lines, and / or divide internal fransraden (the waterline) with black eyeliner on the outside and white on the inside.

You can also apply extra very light eye shadow on the inside of the eyelid. As well as on the lower lash line just apply mascara on the outer lashes.

The principle is that light inside, dark outside gives the impression that the eyes are further apart.

It's the same thing if you do on the contrary, if wants that the eyes should appear to sit tighter. Then you focus the dark part on the inside of the eye.

An example is this golden pretty neutral makeup I did today.

Then I have focused the dark shadow in the outer edges, and also divided the inner lash line with white and black eyeliner.

(All eyeshadows are from Eleven 180 Palette)

Light highlighter shadow in the corner of the eye, under the brow and at the bottom below the lash line.
Light, golden eye shadow on the inside of the eyelid.
Valid eye shadow in the middle of the eyelid.
Brown eye shadow at the end of the eyelid and the lower lash line.

White eyeliner innermost on the inner lash line, H&M.
Black eyeliner at the end of the inner lash line, Gloprecisio Eye Pencil (Black)

Black mascara on all the upper lashes and the outer lower ones, Make Up Store, Multilash.

Hope you understood!

Make-up for the job interview

Amanda sa…
" Hello. Would you be able to include a make-up in the blog that I could have at a job interview?
Do not want to look over-made… and not that the make-up should attract too much attention, quite casual and everyday.

I have light brown hair, is possible. in to dye it a little chestnut brown with copper in. However, do not know if it will be off for the interview on 5 Jan. My skin is in the more "yellow" direction and not the pink.

You are welcome to describe which tools you work with and where you can buy these. Preferably good and cheap alternatives if you now use such expensive animals.

Has blue eyes with green in.

Would be very grateful if this was included in the blog. ”

I describe during each step how I have thought and why :)

Here is the result - A light, slightly golden brown make-up that opens up and highlights the eyes in a discreet way.

I have used the 4 shadows in the palette IsaDora Eyeshadow Quartet (61 Golden Sunset)

1. Put it on brightest the eye shadow at the bottom of the lower lash line, in the corner of the eye, at the bottom of the eyelid and under the brow.

I have used the same brush throughout the make-up, as the make-up is diffuse - without details that attract attention. Then only a "regular" shadow brush is needed. You can, for example, buy this from Kicks.

Using highlighter in this way brightens up the look and makes one look nice!

2. Put it the most golden the shadow (the shadow at the top right of the palette) on the rest of the eyelid.

The golden shade highlights your blue eyes. Blur a lot so that you do not get any sharp edges. Sharp edges capture more eyes for the actual make-up. As I understand it, you want to highlight your eyes the most.

3. Put a little of it semi-golden the shadow at the end of the lower lash line. (The shadow at the bottom left of the palette)

If you only put make-up on the eyelid, you have less make-up per se than if you have it around the whole eye. But applying shadow even on the lower lash line "weighs up" so that the eyelid itself does not look as made-up. This way you can add a little more eye shadow but still have the natural impression.

4. Then add the mmicroburn the shadow a little at the end of the eyelid.

A bright and "nice" make-up in all its glory, but in a job interview you also do not want to blend into the crowd or give the impression of being naughty ( now the personality does most things of course, but my task is to analyze the make-up;) ) Therefore, it can be good to add a little darker shade like this, to get a little attitude in the eye.

5. Open your eyes with vit kajalpenna on the inner lash line, H&M.

6. Finish with mascara, Max Factor False Lash Effect (Deep Blue)

I had chosen to skimp on mascara, but choose one dark blue shade (looks almost black) to look a little more interesting.

Put a lot of energy into one good foundation, so that you look "well-groomed". I have not tested this myself, however L'oréals BB Cream should be great. Before, I used Lumenes foundation, it is also a good budget variant.

Feel free to bring one with you powder and powder the t-zone just before, even if you do not have oily skin, it can make a difference.
In the budget variant, I recommend IsaDoras powder :) Max Factor's loose powder is good, but then there is a risk that it will fall on your clothes and that would be a shame.

One rosy red fits well with your skin, and gives a more vibrant look. IsaDoras rouger attaches and fits well, feel free to choose a natural shade because they are quite pigment-rich. This rougeborsten looks good!

For naturally beautiful lips, apply lip balm / lip balm and dab a little lightly with the blush with your blush brush. Then you get a nice natural color without the lips looking made up :)

Ask if you are wondering anything more!
