There is a lot of talk about fringe industries now, after it was revealed that Neulash contains the substance prostaglandin which has been tested on cats and monkeys, awful!
Since I have blogged about eyelash nutrition (though not neulash), I feel obligated to give you some clarity on the problem! Otherwise, it is easy to pull all products over a comb.
Revitalash which I used contains nothing that has been tested on animals, however, it contains a substance, DDDE, which does not count as cosmetics but as a medicine.
Revitalash has therefore replaced that ingredient with one that is classified as cosmetics in Europe and their new formula is available for purchase now, with delivery at the end of November.
Athena Cosmetics, which launches Revitalash, still stands by the fact that the early version is completely safe to use!
Eyeliners Line n grow which I use on the day, also promises that the product is completely free of drug-grade products as well as ingredients tested on animals.
I still want to emphasize how powerless we are like consumers. We may opt out of products that we vet contains inappropriate things, but if no review is done, we are fooled. We have no idea what all abbreviations mean and mean!
So we still can not really know what a fair product is. H & M's collection of organic cotton is dyed with the same toxins as all other clothing - toxins that eventually kill those who work with the dyeing.
