This week has consisted of free and wonderful summer days mixed with intense work days that have been more packed than usual! You have to have balance as well;)
I have been bad at taking pictures but most of the time I have sat in front of the computer or stood with customers, sometimes I wish my work days had been a little different visually as they are at work haha!

Big changes!
It's lucky that I're easy for change because this week has taken me by storm! Now there are so many great things that I have to deal with. It is at home in the house, projects with the salon and also projects with other ideas outside the salon.
My first feeling about changes is often panic haha, I panic only we book a trip abroad type :) But overall I (after a few minutes) have no difficulty at all accepting changes regardless of whether they are good or bad and adapt quickly. For me, it is worse the periods where I feel that development is stagnant than it is when there are many major changes at the same time.
One of these positive but BIG changes was that Annika texted me and Miska when we were standing in the reception at the salon (she was sitting in her treatment room) and wrote that we will have a new co-owner in January. Miska and I stood as two question marks before she sent the picture:

Soooo guuud! ♥ Annika will be a mother !!
This with babies, however, is such a thing where you just get happy right away and I do not even get a hint of "change panic", it is so nice and all things that need to be solved practically you take later. It's the kind that just solves itself! :)
But it is a huge thing for us both practically and financially when Annika is on maternity leave. Her permanent makeup customers are our sure card that we can afford the rent at the salon and she is as much a part of all development projects as me and Miska.
The plan, however, is not that Annika will be away for a whole year type and have no job contact at all, as when employees go on parental leave. She will (as the plan is from her side) still work in the company both remotely and come into meetings, then as soon as possible she will take any customer here and there. A salon baby simply haha :)
The Spain salon will have to be postponed though;) The plan was that Annika would start by renting a room and see what the demand looks like before we rent something more fixed. But then she suddenly started to stop being active in this matter and did not even call the contacts I made so it has not happened so much - but now I know why haha! It must have been difficult to keep this a secret when running a growing business.
Anyway, it feels like all the big changes are in the starting pits, which is both nice while it is a bit disturbing, I know that a lot will change but nothing has changed visibly yet but you just know that it is approaching and you have to prepare as much as possible! But like I said, better that :)
Meeting about producers for their own make-up brand
I have written before that we have wanted to start our own make-up brand, a concept that we have had in mind for an incredibly long time now! I do not remember how carefully I told it before but our product idea is the whole reason why we started the salon together from the beginning. Our biggest problem was namely lack of time - we needed to develop our companies so that both Annika and I could continue with what we do but that it does not just depend on us.
We need to take time from the current company without it simply going under :)
Now we have come a long way, it only took 2.5 years haha, and last Wednesday I had a meeting with three experienced people who helped me kickstart! The word kickstart is definitely an exaggeration though haha, shit fries how much it is to take into account and just to figure out how it works with manufacturers, packaging, safety data and everything that should be there. BUT it's a kickstart compared to if I had to find all this information on my own! It is a process where you talk for years and not weeks, so all time is worth gold!

A quick picture of the coffee cup during the meeting;)
Are you curious? I hope I do not have to be too secretive during this process! I've just been waiting for this booked meeting and then (so now!) I'm just starting to roll up my sleeves!
Evening work before leave
This week started with me being free most of the day this Monday to spend time with my sister Linda and her baby ♥ Then last Friday Miska and I went to Gotland (where we are now at the time of writing!) To visit my friend Frida who is actually moving to Gotland now! Waah!
Leave = more work the days before. So it has become an evening job at home on the couch exactly every single day when I come home from the salon only until the clock tells me to go to bed.
There is nothing that bothered me though, because when you get time off too, you have time to rest up :) But it has been intense days!

Love working on our couch! Here you see me last Monday when I blogged about Saturday's bridal makeup :)
Photoshop & Advertising Images
A while ago I wrote that we did a photoshoot for advertising images for our barber. You can see the before and after pictures of the beard, hair and eyebrow plucking in the middle previous posts if you missed them this week!
It was a day since I took the pictures but have not had time to edit them until now. But do you know? I love doing crafts in photoshop! It's so fun! I'm not a professional photographer either behind the camera or at the editing table, but I am shocked every time that the results are actually quite good :)

Surely it turned out well?
Here is the difference in the photo before and after editing:

We just took some quick pictures so did not have time to go to a nice location, this is just outside the staff entrance to our salon :)
In addition to this, I have as usual had customer bookings, done my step by step make-up, it has been monthly = salaries, reports, receipts, statistics, invoices etc. to be fixed and now we also have financial statements so inventory of the entire inventory has also been counted .
So considering that all this has been squeezed in just 3.5 working days, I think is pretty well done! :)
Now I will continue to enjoy our mini-holiday on Gotland ♥
Hug!
