What do you fit in?

A very common comment about my make-up is "you fit in everything!".

Just the other day, a customer said to me (who saw me in blonde hair for the first time) “it must be fun to be able to change the look as much as you do! ” and meant that I have a look that fits in everything, while she just fits in as she always looks.

That people think I fit in everything is only because I actually dare to show myself in everything! :)

At school I was once heard "it's only Helena that fits in all colors, what if you yourself had come in green eye shadow!". But if that person had come regularly in green eye shadow, everyone would have thought that she also fit in there.

If you yourself thrive in something, you will automatically think that you fit in it, both yourself (which is the only important thing) but also others. Of course, as a makeup artist you should be able to learn color to know what the colors give for effects. But when a customer says "I do not fit in cold colors", I take it as "I do not feel nice in cold colors" because it is obvious that everyone can use cold colors and vice versa.

Makeup has no rules;)

I sometimes wish I had a more "makeup-friendly" look, like when you make up a person with super nice skin, sharp cheekbones, plump lips, large eyelids and nice eyebrows - and just about every makeup detail becomes wow-looking right away!

But I do not have all that;) I have a very "normal" appearance and see myself as two eyes, a nose and a mouth hahaha, my point is that there is nothing special about why I should fit in everything and not all the people who make these comments.

So sum up: You do not have to go far outside your comfort zone, but if you think makeup is fun and want to experiment more, give it a try !! Try a color you do not usually use, add a little more eye shadow than usual or put your hair in a crazy hair knot with flowers. Anything :) One thing will lead to another and eventually release the barriers.

Offers an old treat haha, I did this make-up about 2.5 years ago.

I myself do not feel as nice in everything, e.g. blue-black make-up I can have a little hard for for some reason. But if I were to see a person who looks exactly the same as me who had that make-up, I would probably have thought it was just as nice!

It's just about what you yourself enjoy - and to know that you have to test yourself.

Do you have any input on this topic, feel free to comment, it would be fun :)

Hug! ♥
