It's so much fun with pre-images when you take a change in yourself, because the biggest difference is not always in the change itself, but in the facial expression and the look haha.
Yesterday I took before and after pictures of my hair, and even though I have a shitty make-up on the before picture (which I had had for like 11 hours), you can see how much nicer I feel afterwards even though I am completely unmade. - just because I was so happy with my hair!
What did I do with my hair yesterday then? I took a chance and did something I have not done in several years, I put in a home bleaching!
Here is the result! Do not laugh at stiff-Helena in the before-picture haha;)
I have been going to the hairdresser for about 3 years now, I think it is, and when you get used to it, it's like home paint does not even exist, I have not even thought that thought. But when you just want to freshen up your hair and not make a big change, it feels a little hard to spend a lot of money on a hairdresser. I always want to change a lot every time to make it "worth the money".
But when I saw Hiilen's beautiful video where she dyes her own hair, I got some inspiration! Before, I always dyed at home, I even went from dark brown to bright blonde all by myself! But you become more cowardly (and careful) when you are used to a hairdresser, both for better or worse.
I myself am not very good at donating with my own hair, but my sister Mia (who cleaned my entire makeup agency yesterday, she is so wonderful!) She is a little more dexterous so after cleaning we went and bought a bleach at ICA for 79 kronor :)
I like my hair and my color, but the tone feels a little "intermediate milk" and I wanted a little more light in the tops and in front of the face so that you get a little more life in it. In addition, I thrive best in light (it's just so hard with the growth) so getting a little brighter closer to the face would be super wonderful to feel a little more like myself!
I had a soft and nice ombre before, but the lightest starts down at the tits type. So it simply felt a little too dark.
We used the bleach Schwarzkopf Blonde Platinum Lightener L100 Ice Blonde which bleaches up to 6 shades and contains silver wrapping that you have afterwards for a cooler tone (good if the hair happens to turn yellow).
Mia did not completely bleach the tops, but made lots of small loops at the bottom so that it would be a smooth transition. She also did this in my fringe which is a little further down than the chin (and might need to be cut a little shorter, but it will have to wait), to get the light more towards the face.
Then I had a little copper red wrap in the scalp to get a slightly finer shade there as well. I only let it work for a few minutes for a mild and discreet result. The packaging is Maria Nila Color Palette Refresh in the shade Bright Copper!
Surely it turned out fine? :) So little makes such a big difference! Both in appearance and self-confidence haha. (Do not look at the deodorant stains on my bandeau that I only saw after we took the photo haha)
Definitely worth 80 bucks + dinner for the sister, without a doubt! :)
Then, for safety's sake, I want to emphasize that can become chaos when you bleach at home too, it's always a gamble, you should keep that in mind! It can be crazy at the hairdresser too, but where you still have someone who can fix it right away.
But I'm crazy happy! :)
What a nice color, I could imagine it myself, I who am a little reddish. Yes it was really delicious :)
