Many come back to work / school after the holidays now, and have got a nice tan that is really nice to highlight! Or maybe already starting to get rid of the burn (for me it lasts an incredibly short time) and want to highlight it a little extra for people to see that you have actually been out this summer;)

Also read my other posts: Contouring - Beginner for the whole face (Step by step) & Contouring the eyes! (6 step tutorial)

Anyway, here is a make-up and a bunch of tips on how you can make yourself more tan, not just cheat on the tan a bit but above all how to highlight it!

  1. Sun pillows Pretty obvious product to cheat the burn a little extra, feel free to choose a slightly cooler shade so you can use it as contouring and just max out a little more than usual! I have used Paese Bronzing Powder (2M)
  2. Gold Luster - Golden glow on cheekbones, chin, brow bones, collarbones and shoulders is so beautiful and really brings out the extra in a tan skin tone. I have used a golden highlighter watch Pixi Book of Beauty Glow Getters.
  3. Brilliant coral lips - This is the best lip color if you want to look tan, once my colleague asked if I had sunbathed when I had this lip color and then I was as winter pale as I can get, you know such a color that makes you look brown out even though you are not even that :) This is gloMinerals Cream Glaze Crayon in the shade Mimosa.
  4. Cold eye makeup - gloMinerals Micro Precise Eyeliner (Navy). A cold eye make-up (eg blue and gray) creates contrast, e.g. in the same way that yellow and orange emphasize blue eyes and that purple emphasizes green eyes. Blue and such cool colors emphasize the golden, warm in the skin and make the tan stand out a little extra.
  5. White eye shadow -  Paese cashmere (601). In the same way that cold emphasizes warm, so light emphasizes dark. You can also keep that in mind :) That's why I added some white eye shadow under the eyeliner and in the corner of the eye as well.

  1. Eyeshadow primer, Pixi eye bright primer
  2. Swipe on a powder instead of eye shadow
(We who have oily eyelids may need primer even if we do not want eye shadow, so that the eyeliner does not smudge on the eyelid. Waterproof eyeliner often dissolves in oil)
  3. Mark the angle of the eyeliner wing with a line from the outer corner of the eye and outwards, gloMinerals Micro Precise Eyeliner (Navy)
  4. Shape the eyeliner wing
  5. Follow the line from the wing and "pull in" the eyeliner to the center of the eyelid.
  6. Paint narrower in the inner edge of the eye.
  7. Blue mascara on the upper lashes, Yves Rocher Volume Vertige Mascara (Bleu)
  8. White eye shadow in the corner of the eye and under the eyeliner, Paese cashmere (601)

  1. Stylish make-up! I have a question about another post, which brow pencil / shadow did you use in this post called "Colorful from 21 Nov, 2013"? it has a shade I would love to have.

    • Hello Hello! I do not remember at all actually, but I think I used gloMinerals Brow Pencil (Taupe) at the time, and it looks like the one in the picture. Available at Byher.se :) Hugs!
