Last Saturday I had a make-up customer who flew only from Gothenburg to Uppsala just to be made up by me, such a cool feeling that it is impossible to describe :) ♥
She is getting married this summer and had booked a make-up consultation ink. products to learn how to do their own bridal makeup.
The theme of the wedding is pink and she wanted a make-up where she still looks like herself. Here is the result:
BASE
We started with a face primer that dulls oily skin. Then we added a semi-opaque foundation gel that evens out the skin tone and becomes natural and durable. It is water resistant = perfect wedding foundation!
Then we put an enlightening concealer under the eyes and on blemishes and fixed with powder. The same powder is also matting so we wrapped a layer all over the face to keep the skin matte. We left birthmarks visible as the whole becomes more natural then.
The contouring was done with both a dark shade, a light shade and a luster highlighter. Finished with blush on the cheeks and fixing mist. It is important not to put the blush too high if you are going to take black and white pictures at the wedding, because in the black and white picture the blush becomes a dark shadow and then you get pressed cheeks.
Face primer - Paese Makeup Base (Mate)
Foundation - Pixi H2O Skintint (2 Nude)
Powder - Paese Bamboo Silk Powder
Concealer - gloMinerals Under Eye Concealer (Golden)
Contouring - Pixi Book of Beauty Contour Creator
Rouge - gloMinerals Blush (Papaya)
Fixing Mist - Pixi Makeup fixing mist
EYEBROW
I have filled in the eyebrows with a brow pencil in a fairly light tone. She had a nice shape that we followed and made fuller. Finished with bryngel to get the straws with highlighted and combed.
Eyebrow Pen + Gel - Pixi Natural Brow Duo (Natural Brown)
EYES
Because she has such nice blue eyes and that the theme was pink, the eyeshadow palette Melba from Paese was an obvious choice, I thought! The light shadow goes in the yellow direction and highlights blue eyes very nicely, we put it in the corner of the eye and at the bottom of the eyelid. The palette also contains a mild light pink tone that we put in the middle of the eyelid and the middle of the lower lash line. The third shade is a light brown tone that we put in the outer edges and along the globe line that frames and enlarges the eyes.
We finished with a lashliner / lash marking that marks the lash line and raises the eyes but is so thin that it does not take up any space of the eyelid, as well as mascara.
Eyeshadow Primer - Pixi Eye Bright Primer
Eyeshadows - Paese Opal Eyeshadow Trio (Melba)
Light eyeliner - gloMinerals Eye Pencil (Peach) (Along the waterline)
Black lashliner / fringe marking - Kryolan HD Cream Liner (Ebony)
Black mascara - Magnetic Lash Mascara
LIPS
She has such a nice lip shape that I emphasized with the lip pencil in the contours in a shade that is quite similar to her own lip color. Then we applied a colored lip balm in a very nice pink tone. It is a good bridal product because it does not give so much color that it clearly smears off when you kiss, in addition, the lip is pigmented a bit by it as well, so when the creamy begins to disappear, there is still some color left on the lips. And it is very caring too :)
Lip pencil - Benecos Natural Lip Liner (Brown)
Colored lip balm - Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm (Pixi Pink)
So fine!
Are any of you going to do your own bridal makeup? Would you like a blog post about that? :) I did one before that was very much appreciated, but it was so long ago.
Hugs are ♥
