Now Christmas Eve is here ♥

We celebrate at home in the house with grandpa, my sisters and their children and respectively. Everyone came already yesterday so we bathed in our sauna which is finished now, so cozy, and then everyone slept.

Now we are going to eat Christmas breakfast together and then just hang out all day, play with the children, eat well and cuddle and just have a good time. And who knows, maybe we will end Christmas Eve with a Christmas sauna too;)

And then I'll do a nice glitter make-up too, I thought!

Christmas glitter lips & eyeliner

I have received a press sample IsaDora Lip Glitter (adlink) in the red shade Ruby Sparkles which I think is so heavenly nice!

This with glittery lips I get craving every year when NYX has had its master class events and shows glitter lips with NYX products. At the last event, they talked about how durable the lips actually become even when eating, etc. They probably usually use NYX glitter glue when applying, I think.

According to IsaDora, you apply the glitter by using their Perfect Matte Lipstick underneath and then dab on the glitter with your fingertip while the lipstick is creamy. I did not get it to attach so nicely though, but tried to apply a little lip balm as well, but then it became a little too sticky and uncomfortable on the lips so it is not recommended haha.

So this make-up was nice but I would need to experiment a little more to be able to give you concrete application tips for glitter lips I feel :) Hope you are inspired in any case!

I have some gold glitter at the cupid's bow too, it is the same glitter that I have over the eyeliner :)

Red lips at the dinner party

It was probably not very long since I last mentioned this tip, but when I put on my make-up here the other day, I took a picture of it again and thought I would remind you that it is a great tip for Christmas Eve! :)

It is namely the case that red lips on Christmas Eve are to die for, I have had it every Christmas in recent years, classic and really nice! But, you eat so much at Christmas and are also with loved ones and want to be comfortable, not have to improve on the precipice in the quarter or think about what the lips look like.

I usually run a red lip pencil or a matte, red lipstick in the contours and tint it a little towards the lip, then I take a colored lip balm that gives a lot of color but is not as comprehensive as a lipstick and apply in the middle of the lips.

In this post I show this step by step! In the pictures I have more lip balm than lipstick (compared to today when I want more red lips) but the principle of application is the same.

The result is that when the lipstick starts to disappear and needs to be improved, it will not be as sharp an edge where it has disappeared, as it easily becomes if you have matte lipstick / lip liner on the entire lips. At the same time, the sharp contours and the intense color last much, much better than what a creamy lipstick / colored lip balm alone on the lips does.

When you have made this combo, the lip make-up still looks nice when it starts to disappear and it is so easy to improve with the lip balm on the inside of the lips only (never need to put all the way to the edges) you do not even need a mirror but can sit on the sofa and just apply a little lip balm.

How smooth? :)

Here I have Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm as colored lip balm, it is not red but raspberry red and attracts more pink but together with red it does not look as pink. And then glo Skin Beauty Lip Liner (Moxie) in the contours. Perfect combo, my favorite!

Review - The new IsaDora Glitter Liner

The glitter festival is here! Therefore, I now thought to review IsaDora Glitter Liner (adlink) which I got a press sample of this week, in case any of you have considered buying it before Christmas and New Year. It is a glittery eyeliner in gold and silver that was launched as a novelty in week 48.

Glitter is such an easy way to glamorize your make-up, regardless of whether you prefer natural, color or dark, just a little light glitter in the corner of the eye does the whole makeup as well. How nice :)

I love you IsaDora Glitter Lash & Brow (adlink) which is a gel pencil with glitter that is for lashes and eyebrows, but for me it works great on the eyelids as well. So I was very happy when I got more glitter from IsaDora and had high hopes!

Formula
The eyeliner is a gel with glitter in it. The formula is ophthalmologically tested (tested on people under the supervision of an ophthalmologist) but I would not recommend it for you more sensitive eyes! It feels that it is strong on the thin skin around the eyes, it kind of stings a little, it passes when it has dried but it does not feel comfortable when applied.

For a while during the day, I thought it itched where the glitter eyeliner was painted but I do not know if it was a coincidence or if it was actually due to the eyeliner.

Application
The eyeliner does not give a full-coverage glitter layer during an ironing, but I think that is just an advantage because then you can have another eyeliner underneath and get a glittering effect if you want. And if you want a full-coverage glittery eyeliner, you can apply more when it has dried.

The brush itself is a classic eyeliner brush with a narrow top and easy to paint with.

If you add more layers to get a lot of glitter, it takes a little while before the eyeliner is completely dry.

Results
Very durable and nice, nothing to complain about in terms of appearance and durability.

Award
It is a fairly large sleeve so you get a lot of glitter for the money, the price is between 75-119 kronor on different websites.

Summary: Strong against the skin and stings my eyes, does not dry fast enough if you want to apply a lot of glitter (which I usually want) but gives a nice glittering result that lasts a long time. Well, I have used it twice but I will probably not use it again I think.

I do not have unusually sensitive eyes I think, but you who have very durable skin and do not want to add so much glitter can probably like this and it is very affordable even if you are happy with it :)

IsaDora Glitter Liner gets a 2 out of 5 rating from me, as I will not use it again and can not recommend you to buy it. But it does not get a grade of 0 because it actually does its job and becomes really nice and durable when you finish the application.
