Here you see two daaarlings in the bathroom at my house, two hand care products that are absolutely wonderful! Every time I have a new guest at home, he comments on how good our hand soap smells when they have borrowed the bathroom, and it is so good for the hands too! The hand cream is unchanged but the hand soap has a higher packaging than before, as it was shorter and wider, much more elegant when it is long so I think ♥

And the hand cream in the same scent is really nice afterwards and goes quickly into the skin, which in my opinion is the most important property of a good hand cream, next to being very moisturizing of course.

Botanicals Hand Wash:

Pamper your hands with an organic and fine hand soap! Botanicals Revitalizing hand wash contains 100% natural ingredients, of which the entire 95% is organically certified. A dream for both your hands and your wastewater.

The hand soap smells incredibly fresh and good of lemongrass and mandarin - which are natural cleansers, and also contain antibacterial tea tree. Your hands will be clean, moisturized and fragrant!

Important ingredients (all certified organic):
Coconut oil makes the skin soft, relieves eczema and irritated skin and speeds up the healing process.
Sunflower oil is moisture-retaining and and strengthens the skin's own barrier protection.
Glycerin moisturizes chapped and cracked skin.
Lemongrass & Mandarin cleanses the skin and gives a fresh and wonderful scent.
Tea tree relieves irritated and inflamed skin, is antibacterial and relieves itching.

Botanicals Hand Lotion:

The hands are exposed to a lot of stress every day, and therefore it is extra important to have a lotion adapted for the hands that gives extra moisture and nourishment!

Botanicals Revitalizing Hand Lotion contains shea butter, cocoa butter, aloe vera, green tea extract, lemongrass and mandarin (all organic) which together nourish, moisturize and repair dry and irritated skin. The hands are not only fragrant but also incredibly soft and smooth. 100% natural and 91% organic.

Shea butter is moisture-retaining, soothes irritated skin and speeds up the healing process.
Cocoa butter is moisture-retaining and makes the skin soft and supple.
Aloe vera moisturizes, nourishes and heals the skin.
Green tea extract is powerful against free radicals and protects the skin from impurities and stess.

konjac-sponge-and-botanicals

We also have a campaign on our wonderful Konjac Sponge mushrooms too! 20% on all fungi on Creativemakeup.se!

A tip is to combine the face mask with a suitable cognac sponge, both the Detox mask and the Konjac Sponge for mixed skin contain green clay that removes dirt and impurities from the skin. And for Revitalizing Mask with rosy clay, the red Red Clay or the pink Pink Clay sponges are great. Perfect combo ♥

Gray and yellow are really a nice color combo, but surely the lip color is the finishing touch? :) Became a really nice contrast I think! Glossy and summery for a full matte and cold eye makeup. I like contrasts :)

NYX Love Contours All Palette - Swatch

During the winter, NYX launched the multipallet Love Contours All Palette (adlink) which contains 9 eye shadows, two highlighters, two contour shadows and two eyebrow shadows. Got it in a goodie bag at an event with NYX in the snow chaos in Sthlm, if you saw mine vlog from the? :)

I have tested it and now thought to show you swatch pictures in all the colors :)

IMG_1408_111

Packaging
The palette also has a large mirror on the inside, which is a big plus if you take it with you on the trip! It is nice black and glossy and really nice to have next to the makeup mirror. It is also easy to open and close.

Award
SEK 269 and is available at Eleven.se and Lyko.se, among others.

IMG_1167_111

Here you see an overview of all the colors. Fina va? :)

IMG_1181_1111

The dark contouring shade is in my opinion a bit too warm, but above all incredibly rich in pigment so you have to be very careful to get a soft contouring. Use a fluffy and soft brush and remove excess shadow from the brush before applying, you will get an incredibly effective result. For those of you who prefer mild contouring, I can recommend this shade as an eye shadow instead :)

The highlighter next to this shadow is just like the contouring incredibly effective and gives super much glow! Super nice for cheekbones and eyes when you want a lot of luster. Nothing for those who prefer luster that looks more natural, but then it is very nice to the eyes as well.

IMG_1183_1111

The second contour shade is much lighter and milder, and more to my taste in terms of tone even when it is colder. Fits my very light skin and is a perfect everyday contouring shade. If I were to use the darker color, I would still first primer with this light, and then apply the dark where I want more effect. Then it is much easier to get even than to put the super dark directly on my light skin.

This highlighter is light golden and wow how nice I say! It looks so good on the skin!

nyx-love-palette

You can all see the eye shadows above. I have not tested them so much for make-up yet, so can not determine how easy they are to fade out and the like, but the first impression like this is that they are very pigment-rich and creamy. And very nice colors right? :)

IMG_1186_11111

The eyebrow shadows are very nice too, the brown is maybe a bit reddish brown instead of cold brown (which I prefer) but together with the taupe colored they are very nice together. I like to apply a little lighter towards the nose and then darker at the outer edges of the eyebrows.

In summary, I think it is an incredibly good palette that for so many shades is incredibly affordable also for only 269: - HERE (adlink).

Hope you all get a great start to the new week ♥

Pur Minerals Makeup Tutorial (Wine Red)

The other day I was at a press breakfast with Pür Minerals and they have really good news for spring! They have not been launched yet, I do not have the press material in front of me at the time of writing, but if I remember correctly, the news will be launched in March. But I will come back to that point when I am completely sure :)

I was so curious to try everything so I decided to do a whole makeover in only Pür Minerals products, fun huh? :) All are news except the kit Love Your Selfie Kit (adlink) which came last spring. Pür Minerals from head to toe!

IMG_5194_111

Today I thought I would mostly show you the make-up with everything, but there will be detailed reviews soon! Is there something you are extra curious about so shout out :)

IMG_5300_111

Face Primer - Pür Minerals No Filter Blurring Photography Primer
Foundation - Pure Minerals Bare It All 12 Hour 4 in 1 Foundation
Lip pencil on the entire lips - Pür Minerals On Point Lip Liner (must come back with the exact shade of this one too, but incomparably good-looking sure ?!)

All of the above products are news that will be launched this spring.

I have filled in the eyebrows with the matte brown eye shadow from the palette.

eyemake

The eye shadows are incredibly pigmented and nice, above all they become really intense with the new eye shadow primer underneath! This burgundy / dark purple eyeshadow that I have on the entire eyelid is, however, a typical formula that I do not really like, a dark shadow with black base color so when you fade it out, the fade becomes black / dark gray instead and it is so boring.

It will be nice anyway, but if I had wanted a black fade, I would have chosen such a shade myself. So in step 4 of my tutorial, I added a rust brown eyeshadow with shimmer in the globe line instead of not having a gray-black fade.

makeuptutorial_111

All eye shadows + mascara are therefore from Pur Minerals Love Your Selfie Kit (adlink)

  1. Eyeshadow primer, Pür Minerals Get a Grip (new, launched this spring)
Dark purple / burgundy eye shadow on the entire eyelid
  2. Fade the eyeshadow in the globe line
  3. Pink-brown eye shadow along the lower lash line
Light champagne-colored eye shadow in the corner of the eye
  4. Dark purple / burgundy eye shadow slightly below the champagne colored on the lower lash line
Light champagne-colored eyeshadow on the fade in the globe line
  5. Black mascara on all lashes

Helena tests - L´Oréal Paris Infallible primer

As you know, I have extremely oily skin and just love to try degrading products!

That's why I was happy when L´Oréal Paris came with the news Infallible primer, or Mattifying Base as it says on my package. It is the same product but for unclear reasons it says Infallible Primer on some pictures / webshops and Mattifying Base on some, maybe an update of the packaging is just. Have a speculation about it further down in the post :)

I got this primer as a press test and immediately became curious and have put it to the test!

IMG_3440_111Excerpt:

• Transparent primer in gel consistency with mattifying effect
• Creates a perfect foundation before applying your foundation
• Gives a velvety smooth surface
• Prevents makeup from smearing and disappearing during the day
• Decreases the visibility of pores.

Launched in store v.46 and the recommended price is 99 sec.

Formula
The primer is a silicone primer, which is both visible and felt at first glance, if you know what silicone is like. The whole primer is basically just cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone, which are the two most common silicones in beauty products.

Silicone is a great ingredient in primers as it really makes the skin silky smooth and fills in lines and pores, without clogging the skin and without penetrating the skin, the molecules are too big for that.

However, I do not know if silicones completely alone but other ingredients are especially debilitating? It does not feel like they absorb oil very well anyway. Comfortable on the skin and makes it smooth and smooth but not so debilitating.

Use
The primer comes in a tube, which I think is practical, easy to dose the desired amount. A small click is enough for the whole face and the skin becomes smoother and smoother.

IMG_3453_111

Results
I have used this primer for several days and with different foundations, both minerals and different liquids and bb-cream, but do not notice a huge difference in the debilitating effect actually. Maybe a little different compared to without primer, but I still get shiny very quickly. It evens out the skin but is not very filling on large pores.

Own speculation is that the primer was first made to be more degrading and was named mattifying base, but due to type only silicones in the ingredient list, it is not very degrading and therefore quickly changed its name to just Infallible Primer to not be so misleading. The product description states that it has a debilitating effect, but it is not primarily what products radiate at first glance (if you compare with the product that I have). Look at e.g. Åhléns website so you understand what I mean :)

Silicones
As for cyclic silicones, which are very much debated now, I think it should be avoided in skin care and hair care, because almost everyone who uses it in the shower and body lotions without reflecting on content or price is basically completely covered in silicones. And based on recent studies suspected Cyclic silicones damage the liver, respiratory system and fertility.

On the other hand, having silicones in a primer, lipstick or similar, I personally do not consider to be a health risk. It's all about quantity, even lemons are toxic, flammable and environmentally hazardous if you look at them so carefully. But a small amount does no harm to either us or nature. Silicones are only harmful if you get them into the body, and it does not pass through the skin, and a huge amount would be needed for there to be a risk.

I use products with silicones in makeup, but avoid it in skin care and hair care. Partly because not being covered in silicones but also because I want to spend money on ingredients that actually care for hair and skin, and not just to give a smooth and smooth feeling.

Rating-3

Summary - A smoothing and very smooth and comfortable face primer. However, not very depressing, maybe a little on people who get a little shiny. Absolutely evens out the skin well but not very much on large pores.

So, as a "regular face primer", I recommend it for a smooth and smoother surface, but not for you who want an extra matte result.

Have any of you had time to test this? What do you think?

Hug! ♥
