Style your hair with Hairology

Now we have finally received the delivery of Hårologis products to the salon! So cool!

We have not posted any of the products in the webshop yet, we have to sit down and plan how we will do it in the best way. Hairology products are based on science and the doctrine of hair, and since there are different hair types (and scalp conditions), you have to tailor the products for each individual in order for it to be perfect.

So - at the salon we perform hair tests with a device, and also check the person's scalp and the desire for how the hair should be (more volume, less volume), etc. Then we select products based on it, and mix in different extracts in the products to get even more customized hair care. For example, you can have some magnesium if you have problems with oily scalp, coconut if you want a shampoo that preserves the hair color longer, stinging nettle is good for irritated scalp, etc.

So in order to be able to buy the products online, you would probably need to send a haircut to us, and answer some consultation questions. Or something like that. Hmm .. Feel free to make suggestions if you are interested in tailored hair products! :)

Anyway, NOW I thought I would show you how I style my hair with Hårologi's own products and some tips on what to think about:

IMG_6015_111

This is how fine hair I get with the products! My hair, which is otherwise flat, very dull and often a little dry and fresh in the tops, is now super shiny and has an airy volume :)

1. After the shower
This is what my hair looks like after the shower, completely without products in it.

Still quite a lot of volume compared to what I usually have when it is freshly washed, then I can not even get it up for a second no matter how much I try to puff it up with my hands haha. I have already received a small "lift" in the scalp after starting to shower with Hårologis products, and that is because I add more protein to the hair, which makes the hair stronger and more stable, which in turn also gives volume.

2. Heat protection
Because I would take pictures of my hair styling step by step at the salon, I did not have any products at all after the shower when my hair was wet. But in normal cases, I had in my heat protection in damp hair, before I blow-dried it.

Because when you spray in heat protection in dry hair, you either have to wait until it dries itself (which in itself does quite quickly) or blow dry it. For a damp heat shield provides no protection so if you spray in it and make the hair moist, and then flatten / curl on the damp hair, then you do not have the same heat-protective effect.

3. Styling with heating tools
Hair protection heat protection is silicone-free, which is very important. Silicones are plastic, so all products you have before styling your hair with heat should be silicone-free. Otherwise you melt plastic on the hair, and it wears out a lot!

So style your hair with heat before you possibly apply styling products that contain silicones, and if you flatten your hair every day, you should not use silicone products at all because they remain until you wash your hair.

3. Root Lifter for volume
I am a volume addict and love volume in my hair! Root lifter is a paste-cream that gives a rough stability to the scalp and lifts up the hair roots, and immediately when you have been in it you look like a lion haha!

In today's pictures I have only used Hårologi Root Lifter to show you, but the perfect, completely divine combo is to first use a small curling iron in the scalp (type volume master, although I have another kind of curling iron that I like better) and then use root lifter after that. Only root lifts are also very effective, but if you, like me, find it very difficult to get volume and a hair that becomes oily and heavy on the scalp after a few days, you have to puff it up 2-3 times during the day the days after applying the root lift . But with a crutch bar, the volume holds up super well! A little dry shampoo on the oiliness and then you have super nice volume only for the next shower :)

Take a click and massage in with your fingertips into the scalp. You need very little product!

The paste is a bit sticky before it dries (which it does very quickly) so I usually wash my hands and then brush through the scalp with my fingers so that you can pull your fingers through the hair without it stopping anywhere. Then you get an effective volume with a lot of stability that at the same time feels airy :)

4. Gloss spray and hair spray
For a hairstyle that is kept in place without feeling like a hard helmet - Hairology Mega Hold Hairspray, super duper good! You only need a little bit, I always think it looks a bit messy when hairdressers press so lightly on the hair spray bottle, because another sprays quite a lot of hair spray to get an effect, but with this one you really need a little and a weak spray. And it is easy to brush out in the evening if you want to know. I don't usually use that much hair spray in everyday life, but to keep my bangs curling nicely on the side, it's fantastic.

And my new favorite product - Hair Mega Shine! My matte hair has suddenly got a nice Hollywood shine and the whole hair color comes out in a completely different way! :) It will be really super glossy! This product contains silicones, so it is important to have a shampoo that washes it away and that you do not have to flatten / curl your hair with heating tools every day.

But look so nice shine! :)

Since I went to the Hairology education, I have really become a nerd on this with hair, and I who used to shower at most once a week (once it took 12 days before I showered my hair haha) now I shower my hair every third / fourth day because I think it has become so fun haha. Partly to do it and know why and how, but also to see and feel the improvement after each shower. With hair wrap and the whole choir :)

I still do not want to become a hairdresser, hair stylist or anything like that, but I am (as you know) a product nerd at my fingertips so this with Hairology and the doctrine of hair suits me like a glove!

If you have any questions about hair science or the products, just shout, and you who live nearby are of course warmly welcome to the salon for a hair test and help with tailor-made products :) It costs nothing extra for consultation and hair testing.

Make-up skin with rosacea (Tips & Products)

Yesterday I had a fun make-up at the salon, I had the honor to help make up skin with rosacea! Love to be able to help people who have problems with their skin because it makes such a huge difference and such a nice result when you have good products.

She has rosacea and usually uses full-coverage theatrical make-up to cover everything, and yet the red usually starts to shine through when she has had the make-up on for a whole day. And now she was going to a wedding and did not want her usual base that becomes like a mask over her face.

So we did a base make-up that removes all the red by using products that neutralize the red, so we conjured away all the red without adding a comprehensive base. So she got a natural result that lasts much better than a thick solid foundation layer. Look so nice:

A nice base, and then focus on the eyes (which emphasized her incredibly blue eye color) and a little color on the lips, to emphasize her incredibly beautiful eyes, eyebrows and lips!

It is not visible in the pictures because the flash blows it away a bit, but she also has a great glow and glow in the skin thanks to a highlighter that has a golden glow. Got her cheekbones to shine :)

I have used these products:

Face:
Face primer - pixi redness reducing primer
Foundation - Pixi H2O skintint (Nude)
Concealer - Pixi Correction Concentrate
Powders that neutralize red areas - gloMinerals redness relief powder
Contouring - Pixi Book of beauty Contour Creator Palette
Highlighter - Pixi Book of beauty Minimal makeup
Rouge - gloMinerals blush (Papaya)
Makeup Fixing mist - Pixi makeup fixing mist

Eyebrows - Pixi Duo Brow (Deep brunette)
Lips - Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm (Pixi Pink)

Eyes:
Eyeshadow Primer - Pixi eye bright primer
Light eyeliner along the waterline - Benecos White natural kajal
Gold eyeshadow - Yag mineral eyeshadow (Rose gold)
Golden brown eye shadow - Paese opal eyeshadow (Golden Brown)
Light eye shadow - Paese opal eyeshadow (Melba)
Lashliner & thin smoky eyeliner - Paese cashmere eyeshadow (602)

We got the nice base thanks to green face primer, a water-resistant gel foundation that gives a semi-opaque base, and then a lot of gloMinerals powder that neutralizes red. So there is not much coverage at all but most neutralizing green and yellow products. I only put the concealer on the most intense blemishes, so we did not have much of it at all.

gloMinerals powder also contains caffeine and licorice extract, which also works as a skin care product and is the top of rosacea skin, it causes the blood vessels to constrict a little so that the skin is basically red on as well. Wonderful product!

Have a great Saturday everyone!

Long-distance customer at the salon

Yesterday I had a very nice customer at the salon who has had a makeup consultation ink. products booked with me for several months, and yesterday it was finally time! :) She follows me here on the blog and booked a date far ahead when she actually lives in Skåne!

It feels so extremely honoring when you get customers who live so far away, and who come to me thanks to them following the blog. Since we opened, I have had a customer from Lysekil and now one from Skåne, really fun!

Nice, is not it? :)

The color does not really appear in the picture, but in the middle of the eyelid (below the globe line) we have also added a cold purple eye shadow that became incredibly nice to her green eyes! It looked good even when she looked straight ahead in reality, but there is a little shadow on the eyelids in the pictures so it only looks dark on the cards unfortunately. But it suited her terribly well!

I have used these products:

Face primer - pixi redness reducing primer
Foundation - Pixi H2O skintint (1 cream)
Powders that neutralize red areas - gloMinerals redness relief powder
