Bold eye makeup

This type of makeup may not be something you have so often, but it is very fun to do and incredibly effective!

I had it last week when we went out to work and ate at a restaurant together after closing, fun to be a little colorful and visible sometimes too :)

What do you think of such make-up? Is it fun to see even though it's not a super usable look?

At least you see how pigment-rich and beautiful the shadows from Paese are! Cheap and incredibly good :)

Hug! ♥

Which makeup is most important?

I often get questions from people who really only want to use makeup and products with high quality and good content that is both natural and good for the environment - But it is not always the case that the wallet agrees.

Of course, everyone would feel good from eye shadows that not only give a nice color but also care for the sensitive skin around the eyes, especially when you have reached a little age. Or blush that moisturizes the skin and reduces pigment spots. But reality does not look like that for everyone and then a common question is "which products are important, and which can be bought in inferior quality without getting a bad result or is bad for the skin?”.

A good basic rule to keep in mind is to prioritize what is closest to the skin!

A good base is important both for the skin and for durability, if you have a good foundation you can use a super cheap blush, and if you have a good eye shadow primer you can get yourself in cheap eye shadows as well.

Products I prioritize - All skin care, face primer, concealer, foundation, eye shadow primer, mascara
Products I do not prioritize as much - Rouge, sun powder, highlighters, eye shadows, eyebrow makeup, eyeliner

Then of course there can be a big difference in quality, but if you have to prioritize, that's how I would think. And if you have problems with dry lips, I would also prioritize good lip makeup, but if you do not have it, you can use cheap lip products as well.

Then it is the case that in the current situation it does not have to cost super much to get good quality, Paese for example is a brand with an average of 85% natural ingredients in the range and they have incredibly affordable products, but this post is not just aimed at what to buy, but also what is already in the make-up bag.

"Should I use my foundation that I bought for SEK 99 at H&M 3 years ago?" No!
"Can I use my eyeshadow palette that I bought for SEK 10 in China?" Yes, if you have a good eye shadow primer.

Type, do you understand what I mean? :)

Real Techniques Makeup Brush - Eyeshadow

I want to tell you about a makeup brush that is not only very nice but also incredibly useful! Namely this one from Real Techniques for eye shadow!

Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection consists of luxurious and fine makeup brushes with incredibly fine metal handles. They are available in silver which are brushes for eye makeup, in gold which are brushes for base make-up, and in rose gold which are brushes for finishes, ie e.g. blush and contouring.

Look so nice:

The makeup brush 200 Oval Shadow which I was going to show you today is described as follows on Eleven.se:
"This eye shadow brush gives you perfect coverage for your eye shadows and leaves a nice result every time."

So it is an eyeshadow brush but I actually use it for the face as well, which is why I think it is so useful and worth acquiring :)

To the face - I use it the most for my mineral concealer (Yag mineral Covers Purple), it is the perfect size for dabbing in medium-sized areas such as around the nostrils. But also to dabble in other products in smaller areas, e.g. neutralized Redness Relief Powder if I want extra somewhere, or higlighter on the cupid's bow and brow bones.

To the eyes - I do not use it to apply eye shadows, as I understand in the Student's description that you can do, I think it is a little too big for that. On the other hand, to refine fades and get an even softer and finer result, it's cruel! Perfect for a smokey eye :) I usually finish my eyes as usual first with my usual smaller eye shadow brushes, and then you finish with this brush to soften or even out.

real-

The brush is fluffy and soft but still compact, which means that it can both make nice shades on eye shadows (because it is compact enough to move pigments) but also good for dabbing on e.g. concealer.

About the brush:
The strands are made of hand-cut synthetic hair that goes almost halfway down the long shaft - so there is minimal risk of them dropping and hairing.

The shaft and the whole brush itself is very lovely to work with, it is light in the hand but not so light that it feels cheap, and just the look itself makes you feel like a million dollars when you sit in front of the makeup mirror :)

The brush costs SEK 239, and is really a good Christmas present! There are more brushes in the Bold Metals series as well, you will find all brushes from Real Techniques HERE!

I took some pictures while holding the brush to my face as well, so you get an idea of the size:

Perfect for brightening up under the eyes.

And to fade out the eye shadow :)

Two thumbs up I say!

Remington Lady shaver - Review

I have tested the shaver "Lady Shaver" from Remington and thought I would share a little review about it now. I got home a press sample of it a few weeks ago, and above all I looked forward to being able to quickly dry-shave it under my arms if you are in a hurry some morning :)

How does a lady shaver work?

Remington Lady shaver - Review

Remington Smooth & Silky Lady Shaver (adlink) is a relatively cheap shaver (SEK 229 on Nordicfeel.se) which according to the description should work for the whole body. I have tested it both in the armpits, on the snip and on the legs, but would probably say that it works best for small areas, nothing I would shave my legs with - however, I would like to have a shaver that can!

This shaver should be able to be used both in the shower, or on dry skin. It also says in the description that you have to test it a few times before you get the technology, which I have done now and feel ready to give a review :)

Remington Lady shaver - Review

First of all I want to say that it is not a super efficient shaver, and Remington themselves know that too I guess because they write themselves that you have to use it a few times before you get the cut - it is not something you pull over the skin and then disappears all straws at once if you say so.

I might not have expected razor results right away, but the first time I tested it, I thought "is it really on?" for I did not think they made any difference at all the first features.

But now after using it a few times, I have started to get along better with it. If you stretch the skin, and pull quite slowly with the shaver, it works better, in addition, you should shave in the direction that the straws do not grow (when you use a razor, you should do the opposite) then it goes faster and it shaves closer to the skin as well. . I have tested both on dry skin and in the shower, and on dry skin it is better I think.

But well, I will use it in "emergencies" but it is not a best friend right away. You just want to be able to pull it over the skin and then it shaves off the straws, but with this you have to work quite a lot to get a good result.

Finally, I would also like to add that my armpits do not like it at all, I tested a new deodorant when I started with this shaver and first thought that it was the one that irritated, but after examining it all, it is unfortunately the here that causes the itching in the armpits. It itches a lot if I shave after the shower, as the skin is warm even though I have dried with a towel, but it itches even if I shave dry.

I do not know if it is me who is doing something wrong or if it is because the skin in the armpits is so thin, but regardless, a razor is proven to be more gentle on the skin because it never gets irritated by the skin.

Remington Lady shaver - Review

Sorry Remington, this was not the best product in my opinion!

Have any of you tested this? Or any similar lady shaver? What do you think? :)
