Moulin Rouge makeup

Last Saturday I had a really fun make-up customer at the salon, Linda has done a make-up consultation with me before and therefore I know that she usually puts on make-up very naturally both for everyday and for parties in normal cases. But last Saturday she was going to a Halloween party and drove on the theme Moulin Rouge, which is anything but natural! :)

She still wanted to feel good-looking, so it's a nice balancing act there, but I was incredibly pleased with the result because she was first and foremost really bang-good-looking, and with the outfit then (with both a neckline and a classic Moulin Rouge hat) the make-up must have become the icing on the cake!

When she left the salon she had both unfixed hair (she would curl it later) and a cozy knitted sweater haha, so you do not see the whole thing but I took some pictures of the makeup that I can show you :)

Extra everything! Lots of blush, lipstick and a smokey eye with silver, blush and rhinestone false eyelashes :)

This is how I could look like a regular party haha, minus so much blush of course, but if you are not used to it, it's the worst transformation! But still, as I said, jisses what a beauty!

What do you think? :)

Eyelash extension lift or diss?

Can't you write a post about lash placement! :-) type luxury lashes? :) ”

I have actually never tested eyelash extensions myself, so you can strangle me after this post if you want;)

We get a lot of inquiries if we do eyelash extensions at the salon, but the answer is no and even though we get a lot of requests, the answer will be no. If no difference in quality etc. is made, everything develops all the time!

The reason is that we see so many customers who have done this, and therefore we have slowly but surely become a little against this with eyelash extensions haha. I know that many people love it and are "dependent" on it, and that it is also about who you go to, there are those who do it well and those who do it less well. But here are the reasons why I do not want to test this:

  • Expensive - It costs approximately between 500-1500 kronor (depending on where you go and if you do it once or refill) and it only lasts for about 3 weeks. And when some straws have disappeared, it often does not look good either. I understand that it is expensive, in my opinion it is even cheap if you look at all the work the person puts in, it takes about two hours to do the extension and you have to be so noga. But as a customer, you get quite a bit for your money.
  • Sensitive - The lashes are glued directly to your natural lashes, and are very sensitive and often harder than your natural lashes. That's why you have to be so extremely careful with your lashes, because when a fake straw smokes, so does your natural lash. It says everywhere that eyelash extensions do not wear on the lashes, but I hear so Many people say that the extension has ruined their natural lashes.
  • Unhygienic - And because you have to be so careful, not use cleaning with oil, and barely touch them, I often see people with extensions who have not done properly, who have small "sleep gravel lumps" along the scalp of the lashes. Ugh and fy and hello eye inflammation :)

And of course I do not say that everyone experiences these negative effects, it obviously depends on who does the job, and how to take care of the lashes and the cleaning. But you get a little discouraged when you see and hear many who have these problems.

What can you do instead?
Instead, I think that color and permanent (permanent bending that makes the lashes are bent upwards all the time) is much better! You can see my result in the pictures above. When the lashes are curved, they look much longer even without mascara, and you often get a better result with the mascara even when they already have a nice bend.

Most people who do this treatment regularly do permanent and staining every 10 weeks, and only staining every 5 weeks.

If you also want them longer, you can either use the fiber mascara Magnetic Lash which builds up the length of the straws, or use BeautyLash - an eyelash serum that makes the eyelashes grow!

I have used BeautyLash for 2 weeks now and am already starting to notice a little difference, but in 4-6 more weeks you will see before and after pictures :) But they are already available to buy as I have met so many customers who are regulars on the industry and get incomparably good results. Annika has sold it at the salon before, and used it herself for several years, and she uses nothing but lash nourishment, lash coloring and eyelash permanent, and when you tell people that she is unmade up, they always answer "but does she have mascara? ” but she never has! Will take a picture and show you some day :)long-eyelashes

Oh so special

Here is a make-up that fits super well this autumn / winter with the cold, gloomy tones. A sweep completely in my taste indeed! Love sweets with a little color, becomes softer while getting an intense look.

I have used a gray-blue shade from Sleek's palette Oh so special, and then Yves Rocher's green eyeliner along the waterline which really became the finishing touch :)

Tip! Yvesrocher.se* currently has an offer where the first products you add to the cart will be completely free! It is valid for 2 more days so take care.

What do you think? :)

Mineral foundation and dry skin

“Wow, what a great result! (you are nice before too). I have adult acne, especially on the cheeks and along the jaw. mine has an oily t-zone but is also surface dry. is curious about mineral foundations like this but is so afraid that it will highlight the dry parts around the pimples like… what do you think? ”

I respond to the comment in a blog post as I can imagine that more people are wondering the same thing :)

Many people are afraid of mineral foundation because they think it should emphasize dry skin, but even though it is a dry product, it does not give the same dry appearance as a powder foundation or a regular powder can give, many such products contain a lot of talc that can easily make the skin look dry and highlight skin flakes.

But a good mineral foundation, like gloMinerals Pressed Base is, melts into the skin so well that it almost feels like a cream when applied to the skin, and from experience I can say that the skin can actually be lifted more by certain products that are actually adapted for dry skin, while the skin barely sees dry out at all with mineral foundation. Here is one such example:

foundationval-torr-hy

These pictures were taken the same day but with different foundations, I was extra dry during this period when I came home from a long sun holiday and had neglected the moisturizing. In the top picture you see a cream foundation that is adapted for dry skin, and in the lower picture you see my skin with mineral foundation. Difference huh? The mineral foundation lay much smoother and finer! You can see more pictures in mine old blog posts :)

Many advocate avoiding dry products if you have dry skin, "dry does not stick to dry and the skin flakes are highlighted". This is only partially true - yes you have to moisturize the skin properly to get mineral foundation to be good, but no it does not emphasize skin flakes but it often applies to powder foundations which are not mineral foundations. Do you agree with the difference?

As you can see, a liquid / creamy foundation can actually become more uneven around skin flakes and emphasize them more (absolutely does not apply to everyone!). But a good mineral foundation does not get dry on the skin, it blends in well both in pores, wrinkles and around skin flakes. And I discovered that very well after the trip abroad!

makeup-acne-tips

Then it is the case that skin flakes that protrude, it is very difficult to conjure away regardless of foundation, because it is so protruding from the skin. And mineral foundation is, as I said, a very good alternative, but something I have also realized during the days with these cheeks is that Pixi H2O Skintint in fact is very good to base with when you want the skin to look more moisturized and weigh down the skin flakes a little more :)

The skin tin is a gel, so it sinks super quickly into the skin and is very good both on dry skin and on oily acne skin. It is water-based but very moisturizing, and sits very well all day. It contains green tea that is rich in antioxidants, moisturizing rose water, caring English chamomile and relaxing lavender.

The skin then gets a smoother tone and above all the flakes are less visible, but it is not comprehensive so I would recommend supplementing with either mineral foundation or a concealer if you want a completely comprehensive result. For example, you can have the skin tint all over your face, and then dab on concealer or mineral foundation on only those areas that need more coverage.

And the very best thing is to also finish with a fixing mist, it makes the makeup last longer, but above all I think the result will be very nice. You spray the mist on the skin after you have finished applying the basic make-up, then it looks like the make-up blends in better with the skin and you get a nice glow. Perfect if you have a tendency to look a little dry on the face.

Summary - Mineral foundation does not emphasize dry skin, but if you have a lot of skin flakes etc. around pimples, moisturize a lot before you put on make-up, and Pixi H2O Skintint is a very good foundation as well that makes the flags settle a bit and evens out the skin tone a little.
