“Wow, what a great result! (you are nice before too). I have adult acne, especially on the cheeks and along the jaw. mine has an oily t-zone but is also surface dry. is curious about mineral foundations like this but is so afraid that it will highlight the dry parts around the pimples like… what do you think? ”
I respond to the comment in a blog post as I can imagine that more people are wondering the same thing :)
Many people are afraid of mineral foundation because they think it should emphasize dry skin, but even though it is a dry product, it does not give the same dry appearance as a powder foundation or a regular powder can give, many such products contain a lot of talc that can easily make the skin look dry and highlight skin flakes.
But a good mineral foundation, like gloMinerals Pressed Base is, melts into the skin so well that it almost feels like a cream when applied to the skin, and from experience I can say that the skin can actually be lifted more by certain products that are actually adapted for dry skin, while the skin barely sees dry out at all with mineral foundation. Here is one such example:

These pictures were taken the same day but with different foundations, I was extra dry during this period when I came home from a long sun holiday and had neglected the moisturizing. In the top picture you see a cream foundation that is adapted for dry skin, and in the lower picture you see my skin with mineral foundation. Difference huh? The mineral foundation lay much smoother and finer! You can see more pictures in mine old blog posts :)
Many advocate avoiding dry products if you have dry skin, "dry does not stick to dry and the skin flakes are highlighted". This is only partially true - yes you have to moisturize the skin properly to get mineral foundation to be good, but no it does not emphasize skin flakes but it often applies to powder foundations which are not mineral foundations. Do you agree with the difference?
As you can see, a liquid / creamy foundation can actually become more uneven around skin flakes and emphasize them more (absolutely does not apply to everyone!). But a good mineral foundation does not get dry on the skin, it blends in well both in pores, wrinkles and around skin flakes. And I discovered that very well after the trip abroad!

Then it is the case that skin flakes that protrude, it is very difficult to conjure away regardless of foundation, because it is so protruding from the skin. And mineral foundation is, as I said, a very good alternative, but something I have also realized during the days with these cheeks is that Pixi H2O Skintint in fact is very good to base with when you want the skin to look more moisturized and weigh down the skin flakes a little more :)
The skin tin is a gel, so it sinks super quickly into the skin and is very good both on dry skin and on oily acne skin. It is water-based but very moisturizing, and sits very well all day. It contains green tea that is rich in antioxidants, moisturizing rose water, caring English chamomile and relaxing lavender.
The skin then gets a smoother tone and above all the flakes are less visible, but it is not comprehensive so I would recommend supplementing with either mineral foundation or a concealer if you want a completely comprehensive result. For example, you can have the skin tint all over your face, and then dab on concealer or mineral foundation on only those areas that need more coverage.

And the very best thing is to also finish with a fixing mist, it makes the makeup last longer, but above all I think the result will be very nice. You spray the mist on the skin after you have finished applying the basic make-up, then it looks like the make-up blends in better with the skin and you get a nice glow. Perfect if you have a tendency to look a little dry on the face.
Summary - Mineral foundation does not emphasize dry skin, but if you have a lot of skin flakes etc. around pimples, moisturize a lot before you put on make-up, and Pixi H2O Skintint is a very good foundation as well that makes the flags settle a bit and evens out the skin tone a little.
