What is salt water spray?

I received this comment when I announced the winner of the Vision Haircare competition:
"Congratulations! :-) But this with salt water spray, I have never understood that, despite the fact that I have a bottle standing in the cupboard :-D How & what should I do with it !? In wet or dry hair? Before or after styling? .. What is it really for? ”

Your question has several answers, and I thought I would try to sort this out in a post now :)

What is salt water spray?

Why use salt water spray?

  • To give straight hair more texture, especially fine, thin and soft hair, but works on all hair types. Good both when you have let go of hair but also if you are going to do hairstyles.
  • To highlight your natural curls.
  • To get a more "sloppy" nice look, e.g. if you curl your hair and want sloppy beach curls.
  • Instead of hair spray - salt water spray goes into the hair and shapes it a bit, so that it is better held in place.
  • For volume - Spray on the scalp, bend the head forward and massage.

How to use salt water spray?

Exactly how you use it depends a bit on what you have for hair and what you want for results:

In wet hair - Spray salt water spray on wet hair if you have natural curls that you want to emphasize, or if you have straight hair and just want more texture. Shower, towel dry, spray all over the hair, squeeze it with your hands, blow dry or let it dry itself.

In dry hair - Spray salt water spray on dry hair if you want to use it for sloppy curls, as a hair spray, for volume or just to give your hair more texture. Style your hair and end with salt water spray. Squeeze it into the hair with your hands.

Super easy! :)

How I use Micellar Water

Micellar Water can be used in a few different ways, but it is generally said that it is both makeup removal, cleansing and toner in the same product.

The special water contains briefly charged particles, small "drops of fat", which absorb oil and dirt from the skin. The whole thing is quite complicated and is a bit of a premium at the molecular level. But it cleanses deeply by sucking up dirt and dust from your pores, almost like a magnet :)

IMG_7142_111

I like makeup removal that you rinse with water, which works like a soap, and then remover for waterproof makeup if I have a harder eye makeup. I like to open up the pores properly with hot water because I have very oily skin. And after so I use micellar water (like toner on a cotton ball) and then you see on the cotton that it gets dirty from things that have not disappeared from the pores with cleaning and water.

But especially so I can not do without micellar water in the morning! The pores expel dirt and oil from the skin when you sleep, so you (not everyone, but at least me) always feel a little disgusting in the skin when I wake up.

And since I have a very sensitive skin even though it is oily, I notice that the skin can feel a little irritated if I wash it with lots of water morning and evening 7 days a week. Namely, water dries out the skin. So in the mornings I usually only use micellar water, you then see on the cotton how much dirt and blue it came out during the night even though you were completely clean when you went to bed. And then the skin feels incredibly clean, soft and fresh, without using water!

Use - I use Paese Micellar Solution, pour a little on a cotton ball and clean the face with it. Does not need to be rinsed off with water and also works as a toner so you do not need to supplement with it. And as I said, I use it after "regular makeup removal" in the evening when I like to use water, and then as the only cleanser in the morning.

Luxury makeup

Last Saturday, Miska and I went to Stockholm, we started by checking in at a hotel and then we met "my girls" from Vackstanäsgymnasiet. It was three years since we took the student now, and the whole fifth midsummer weekend we celebrate together!

We have been with me and celebrated in Öregrund for the past three years, but this year Julia and her boyfriend rent an apartment on Odenplan so that was where we hung out this year. Have dinner outdoors (super cozy!) And otherwise just talk, talk, laugh, talk, talk laugh! Would need a whole week to catch up with all the chatter really, in the future it may be a week's trip abroad instead maybe;)

If it was cozy with a hotel night with the sweetheart late, with hotel breakfast and cozy all morning after. Love!

Anyway - what I would come to is that before I left I was in a super-duper hurry, so I quickly forgot to take a close-up of the eyes, so typical.

But I only had the same beautiful eyeshadow on the entire eyelid, and then I matched it with a gray long dress, gold jewelry, gold tattoos, colorful nails and curly hair :) Simple but nice!
