Life Gave Me Lemons - Yellow Nail Polish (OPI)

When I posted a picture on Instagram where I hold the Paese Micellar Solution bottle, I got a compliment for my nice nails, and I agree, this nail polish is so summery and nice! :)

The varnish I'm talking about is OPI Nail Lacquer in the shade "Life gave me lemons" - love that name too ♥

Fint va? Summery lime yellow / yellow-green color that almost shines on the nails, so nice!

I got a press sample of this color a few weeks ago and it is actually one of the few colors I have tested from OPI, it is not directly cheap but there is a reason why it is so popular anyway :)

However, I needed three layers to get it this crunchy, but it was fine already after two, so it took a little patience which was sad but otherwise it gets a full pot! :)

OPI's nail polish is available for purchase at e.g. HERE which has free shipping and costs SEK 99!

Copper eye makeup

Today is a real inspiration day, some days you get stressed by all the problems around everything while other days you just bubble with inspiration, excitement and expectations! I have so much new on g now that I can not share that I go to the roof soon!

But something that I am more open about (without saying exact brands) is that I have new products in the shop, it takes some time to test everything and above all to plan with the economy - I can not afford to buy exactly everything I want at once because like what I already have in the shop also has to be filled, but during the summer a lot of news will probably come in, and before the autumn I feel that it will break loose!

With that said, today's makeup is a look I did to test an eyeshadow from a brand that I will most likely take into the webshop, I am completely in love with many of the products already :)

So both the eyeshadow and the lipstick are not available to buy yet, but feel free to respond!

How nice will not this copper-colored, matte eyeshadow be this fall? Either completely alone like this, or together with a gloomy brown color.

I'm in love! What do you think? :)

Fitness fabric from Taniko - Hair braids

I have usually released hair in my pictures here in the blog, but a large part of the days (and often all days) I have my hair up in a knot or ponytail. In any case, it is standard when I put on make-up, then I usually let it out, take photos, and then put it up again haha. So nice.

And a few weeks ago, I started using fitness fabrics from Taniko, which I got a press sample from. And I can say that it is lucky that they came in a 5-pack because I have not been allowed to have them in peace if you say so;) Miska was delighted and has used these every day since. Before it was very careful "Helena you have taken my tassel" and I always answer "but how do I know everyone looks the same" haha, but if you have both thick and quite short hair you have to be a little more picky with which tassel one has, for it to remain in the hair.

Taniko Fitness is a tassel in silicone, which is very stretchy but still firm, and is retained in the hair regardless of whether you have thick or thin hair. I think they are incredibly good!

♥ They sit super-steadily in the hair without slipping out when you move a lot.
♥ They do not wear as much either, as tassels with metal buckles do.
♥ Even though the tassel is firmly seated, and you can "pull the ponytail" to get the tassel higher up, it is still comfortable - no small straws that are pulled or fall off.
♥ The tassel is easy to pull out of the hair as well. Not as light as a fabric tassel, but you feel a certain resistance, but far from as difficult as other rubber-like tassels. For me, no straws get stuck in the tassel at all.
♥ Since the material is very elastic but still not fluffy, you avoid the classic problem that the tassel is too big to only spin 3 turns, but too small to spin a 4th.

The only thing I can not use them for is to sleep with a braid, because I have very thin hair in the tops so when I make a braid there is not much hair at all. But even there it can be used, but it does not sit well enough to be able to sleep in. Maybe if you pull super tight but it is difficult when it comes to type 10 hairs hehe, I like to braid as far down as possible :)

In other words, yes I like these tassels! Miska too :) And I can really recommend them now before the summer when you put your hair up more than usual. They are not only available in black but in several fun colors, and cost SEK 59 for a package with 5 tassels.

You will find all colors on HERE.

Get the eye shadow to hold - Pix Eye Bright Primer

As you have seen in my latest make - ups, most recently in mine makeup video I published earlier today, I use the eyeshadow primer Pixi Eye Bright Primer to all my eye makeup.

I have been looking for an eyeshadow primer that is good for the environment, the eyes and of course also when putting on make-up, and when I tested Pixi Eye Bright Primer for the first time, I did a little shot of joy!

And when my sister texted me a few days ago and wrote "I love the primer !!" which she bought from me last week, so I realized that now I have to show it to you in a blog post :)

♥ The eyeshadow primer comes in a smart pencil with an applicator that makes it easy to spread the cream on the eyelid. Screw in the bottom of the pen and a fair amount of primer will come out directly on the applicator.

♥ The texture is creamy and soft, without being sticky. Easy to spread on the eyelid and get even and nice. Apply directly with the pen, and then spread the cream evenly with your fingertip.

♥ Contains, among other things, chamomile that has soothing, moisturizing, healing and anti-inflammatory properties.

♥ Has a neutral light beige shade that makes the color of your eye shadow as nice as in the packaging.

Why use eyeshadow primer?
To make the eye shadow adhere better and become more colorful, and above all more durable. With an eye shadow primer during make-up, your eye makeup lasts from morning to evening! This is because the eyelids also become oily during the day (often even on people with dry skin) and with the stress when you also blink, in the end your entire make-up will be like two lines on the eyelid before the day is over - if you do not use an eyeshadow primer.

primer eye shadow

Here you see the difference of a purple eye shadow without and with the eye shadow primer from Pixi. The shadow adheres much better with a primer underneath!

How to use eyeshadow primer?
1. Apply the basic make-up as usual, also on the eyelids.
2. Apply a thin layer of the eyeshadow primer on the entire eyelid and dab with your fingertip so that the primer is even and fine.
3. Apply the eyeshadow on the eyelid. Dab it with the make-up brush (not with sweeping movements) and press firmly with eye shadow so that the primer is dry and fixed. After that, you can use sweeping movements with the brush to fade the colors.

What is the difference between eyeshadow primer and face primer?
These are two completely different products, and you can not use eye shadow primer on the face or vice versa. Both are called primers because both are a foundation you lay before the "visible makeup" to get a better result, but it is not the same kind of content.
