Bright gel-effect nails

Bright nails are so heavenly nice in the summer I think, fresh!

I have received home samples of lots of Yves Rocher's new nail polish, and one of the first ones I was craving was the light shade Rose Perle* in the gel effect series. And by gel effect is meant in short fine shine, even results and very good durability. And this is how beautiful my nails are now:

Surely the shade is super nice? I have painted two coats, and had base coat and top coat. So four layers in total, and yet I think it dried quickly. Fast to be 4 layers in any case, my patience usually can not do it otherwise haha.

The gel effect varnish costs SEK 69, and the base varnish costs SEK 49.

I have now had the nail polish for 4 days and it is still just as nice! So even though I have not yet seen exactly how many days it lasts, I can say that it is going well anyway and it does not feel like it is about to get ugly either.

Tiny that has been abraded at the edge of my right thumb nail only, but it is used all the time and also my own nail is a bit damaged there as well, so that is probably a contributing factor.

I have painted two layers, but it's nice with just one too if you just want an enlightening effect!

I have managed to film with a brighter picture, and I think the sound is a little better too. Hope you like it now! The films can still be improved, of course, but that's what you learn over time when you are doing it :)

Dice make-up

Yesterday I showed you the make-up as I did last Saturday, and now I was also going to show you the bridesmaid that I also made up then :)

I tried on her make-up the week before so I have nice pictures from my home studio, and we did exactly the same make-up on the wedding day then except for slightly narrower eyebrows, so I did not take any new pictures of her last Saturday. Fun by the way that my autocorrect on the computer changed "sample makeup" to "tasted" just now, luckily I noticed it before I published haha.

She almost never puts on make-up at all, just mascara, so we did a natural make-up so that she felt like herself at the same time as she was extra pampered. Here is the result:

Basic make-up with a lot of luster and lighter coverage around the nose so that the fine freckles do not disappear. Then focus on the top of the eyes to lift the gaze.

To only put on make-up with the dark on the top of the eyes is smart if you are not so used to make-up, as soon as it gets dark under the eye, you immediately feel more made-up. In addition, it lifts the eye more if all the focus is on the top, so it gives a nice effect as well.

Look at such nice make-up brushes I have received a press sample of! ♥

Jacks beauty line is a German makeup brush brand founded by makeup artist Miriam Jacks who got tired of all makeup brushes looking the same, and often mixed with others when you are on a makeup job.

These makeup brushes are hand painted and each brush is unique! I think so cozy :)

The series contains 17 different brushes, of which 7 contain a mix of goat hair while the rest are completely vegan. I only have the two brushes "1 Eyebrow / lash brush" and "17 Pencil brush", so I can not really comment on how good the brushes are as it is not possible to judge an entire series based on a spiral brush and a small compact brush, but it feels promising anyway!

The quality feels great. The shafts are made of wood and are very light in terms of weight. They are also not particularly long, which is nice if they are to fit in the make-up bag as well.

Pencil Brush is a rounded brush that is soft but at the same time quite compact at the top, so you get really good precision. Good for small areas. Eyebrow / lash brush is a spiral brush that is perfect for brushing eyebrows or eyelashes.

I want them all !! :)

The price is quite juicy though, and the brushes are between SEK 145 and SEK 590. Sold at, among other places gorganic.se and wonderhair.se .

Great also as a gift for a makeup-interested person who already "has everything" (as a beauty nerd you never have enough, but you understand what I mean haha).

I received an email from a reader who is very keen on Pixi H2O Skintint and asked me to post before and after pictures of it, so now I have photographed it and am also thinking of sitting down and making a small film with it today where I show how easy it is to apply :)

Pixi H2O Skintint was one of the first products I tested from Pixi, and I fell in love! I'll be doing drugs this summer, the world's best summer product!

This cream is reminiscent of a bb cream in its properties, it evens out the skin tone and gives a medium coverage that looks incredibly natural on the skin. But the big difference is that this is not a regular cream, but a colored gel!

Application

♥ The gel is water-based and contains moisturizing ingredients, which makes it suitable for both people with dry and oily skin.
