Dry hy & foundationval

I very rarely have dry skin, so I have gained most of the experience in that area thanks to the fact that I have made up others with dry skin.

Therefore, a lot of posts have been written about oily skin here in the blog as these are products I have easy to put to the test, but just foundation choice is very important when you have dry skin, so I thought I would address that in a post now !

This big difference can be due to foundation. The pictures were taken on the exact same day but with different foundations. Continue reading for more info :)

When I was abroad I became very dry in the face, not so that I visibly flaking as when you have burned yourself (I had spf 50 every day during the whole trip) but more that I was very dry and tight in the face. I guess it's because the sun dries out the skin so much and I'm very bad at drinking water.

Anyway, I can therefore show you what I have written many times, that I recommend mineral foundation for dry skin! Many advocate avoiding dry products if you have dry skin, "dry does not stick to dry and the skin flakes are highlighted". This is only partially true - yes you have to moisturize the skin properly to get mineral foundation to be good, but no it does not emphasize skin flakes but it often applies to powder foundations which are not mineral foundations. Do you agree with the difference?

And a liquid / creamy foundation can actually become more uneven around skin flakes and emphasize them more (absolutely does not apply to everyone!). But a good mineral foundation does not get dry on the skin, it blends in well both in pores, wrinkles and around skin flakes. And I discovered that very well after the trip abroad!

Unmade and with mineral powder, I did not even think that I was dry, and with a cream foundation I looked like this:

(Yes I am aware that the color is too light, I would only review Youngblood's cream foundation which should be perfect for normal to dry skin, but it did not go in terms of color or skin)

I washed it off and applied Yag minerals mineral foundation instead, and got this result:

Difference huh! :)

The good thing about creamy / liquid foundations for dry skin is that they often contain very caring ingredients, so if you find one that is good, it's great! What you should invest in is probably mainly dependent on taste - that is, what you like to work with. But if you are unsure and do not have the strength to test yourself, I recommend a good mineral powder and use day cream, face primer and face mist that contains plenty of moisture!

My dry period is starting to pass but these days I have used the day cream Sanctum Moisture Concentrate, primern Paese Make Up Base Smoothing before foundation, and face mist Sanctum Tone & Refresh Mist right after I put on my make-up and sometimes even during the day. Then the skin gets plenty of moisture and the makeup looks really nice :)

Hope the post was helpful!

Tips for a nice light make-up

A light make-up (and by light I mean lighter than the skin tone) is a make-up that many people think is nice and feel comfortable in, me too! :)

Today I want to give you a tip that I usually use, I have probably shown that tip in some make-up but I do not think I have printed it in detail in the text. But in connection with today's make - up, I also thought I would tell you how I have thought!

With many light eye shadows, the make-up can feel quite flat, because if you light up a large area around the eye, all shapes disappear in some way. Most of the time, for that reason, I just put the eyeshadow at the bottom of the eyelid (not the whole eyelid) and in the corner of the eye, because then the eye still retains its shape in some way.

But if you want your nice, light eye shadow over the entire eyelid and fade the edges quite high up towards the eyebrows, then you can apply a yet lighter eye shadow in the middle of the eyelid and in the corner of the eye! It blends in so well that you hardly think about having two shadows, but the eye looks directly with 3D format :)

Today's make-up is such a make-up, I hope you like it!

Do you see that it is a little brighter in the middle of the eyelid and in the corner of the eye?

So I put a light pink eyeshadow on the entire eyelid, in the corner of the eye and in the bottom of the lower lash line, and then dabbed on a white eyeshadow in the middle of the eyelid and in the corner of the eye. Fint va? :)

The lipstick is Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade Amsterdam.

Tips for a nice light make-up

Light pink eye shadow on the entire eyelid, in the corner of the eye and at the bottom of the lower lash line, Paese Diamond Eyeshadow (shade 11)
White eye shadow in the middle of the eyelid and in the corner of the eye, Paese Diamond Eyeshadow (shade 7)
Brown eye shadow along the lower lash line and outer corner of the eye, Yag mineral eyeshadow (Cacao Brown)
Black mascara on all lashes, Golden Rose Miracle Lash Mascara.

Surely the Paese Diamond shadows are nice? They really shine! :)

GA.MA Hair dryer

I got home a new hair dryer from GA.MA a few weeks ago, and I absolutely love it! My God, how fast can you blow dry your hair now :)

GA.MA Professional Maestrale Ceramic Hairdryer 2000W available for purchase HERE and costs SEK 449. Unfortunately temporarily sold out at the moment, but if it comes in soon, it's a good Christmas gift tip!

The hair dryer has a powerful AC motor and a ceramic grille that protects the hair from drying out and getting worn, as well as a removable filter for easy cleaning.

My first reaction, however, was "are hair dryers this heavy ???" Lol! I still use my mini-little pink hair dryer that I bought to be able to have in my purse when I lived in boarding school and commuted home on the weekends. And the one we have at my mother's house is probably at least as old as I am and smells burnt if you use it for more than 3 minutes.

So, I did not know if this is how heavy new, nice hair dryers should be, or if it's me who's just used to dirty hair dryers. Because I could feel a little lactic acid when I tested the first time is like no proof that it is heavy, I am so weak that I can barely open a door;)

Anyway, it weighs about half a kilo and is quite large, so it is not a travel dryer directly but it has good power! I would rather blow dry my hair with a heavy blow dryer for one minute, than blow dry it for three minutes with one that weighs a little.

An extremely big plus is the different settings!

First of all, you can (as with almost all hair dryers) set how hard it should blow. There are two modes to choose from.

Then you can also set how hot you want it to blow, there are three temperatures plus a cooling button! The heat changes very quickly, so if you have the warmest but suddenly want it colder, it goes in a second and it blows cold.

The cooling button is good for longer durability of the hairstyle, when you blow-dry your hair, the hairs are warm and easily shaped, which means that they can be shaped even when you have stopped blow-drying before they have cooled down. Therefore, it can be good to cool down your hair when you have finished blow-drying.

The hair dryer also comes with two nozzles - The narrow one is there to be able to concentrate the air flow and gives more precision, and the large diffuser is good for you with natural curls that can otherwise "blow apart" and become fresh. The diffuser provides a more even air distribution and can also be used by us without curls to get more volume.

Briefly:
* The hair dryer is effective and dries the hair quickly.
* It is possible to vary the use (with settings and nozzles) depending on what kind of hair you want / want to achieve for results.
* The cord is long (2.5 meters)
* Does not sound awkward much
* Quite heavy but otherwise very comfortable to use

Two thumbs up I say! :)

Blue Diamond

Do you know? There are now nine new eye shadows on Byher.se, namely Paese Diamond Eyeshadow which are pigment-rich eye shadows that give a sparkling, metallic result! They are really super nice!

Today's make-up is done with the shade 30 which is a dark blue color, and I have complemented the look with another novelty - the popular glittery eyeliner Paese Linea Automatic Eyeliner is now also available in the colors blue and brown! So I also have the blue eyeliner both on the upper and lower lash line and along the waterline :)

Hope you like the makeup!
