Curl your hair without heat

4

I like the idea of being able to curl my hair without heat by sleeping with it in different ways, and have been experimenting a lot with it lately. For example, the "hair knots" I wrote about a long time ago in this post.

However, I have not tested anything that has been completely good, either everything comes loose during the night or the effect is not so visible. I'm used to my hair being fairly light-styled, but my slightly coarser hair extensions from Hair Talk is not as easy to work with that way. A braid gives nice wavy curls but otherwise I have not succeeded in 100%.

But I have to offer the results from my latest test - a bit the same principle as the knobs but still not really. The result was not nice, but a little fun :)

The pictures are a bit badly taken as I did not really plan to publish them, but once I put them on the computer I could not help but hehe.

Had the result been better, I would have been able to show step by step how to do this, but in short, you twist a strand of hair and roll it up on a piece of fabric that you tie together so that the ball stays in place.

This is what I looked like when I woke up, what a ruff haha!

Light green

Today's make-up is published late as I have been away on a small "project" that I have on g which you will get to take part of soon, I will not tell you everything but it is something poppy;)

In addition, I have happened to sabotage my routines a bit when Miska is on holiday, it is easy to fall asleep himself when he goes to bed in the morning. But hope there are more night owls out there now during the summer who appreciate that the morning posts will come later and that the make-up will be published closer to night.

Anyway, with today's makeup, I want to show that a light eye makeup does not always have to be down to earth, and that a colorful eye makeup does not always have to be bright. I have lit up my eyes with a light green eye shadow, and it turned out really nice!

Hope you like :)

Now I will sit down and prepare some work for tomorrow so that I can get back into the routines! :)

Make-up tips for glasses

I have made some makeup posts here in the blog that are specifically adapted to certain spectacle frames, but when I write about wide frames, people ask about narrow, and when I write about narrow, I get questions about wide, etc. So I thought I would make a summary for you, with make-up tips that apply to all glasses, and then specific tips for wide, narrow and round! :)

It's a bit difficult to take photos without the light being reflected strangely in the glasses, I hope you see well anyway!

Wide, marked spectacle frames:

makeup tips-marked-spectacle frames

Getting your eyes visible under a pair of wide and marked glasses is not the easiest thing. You have to apply a lot of make-up to make it visible, a party make-up becomes an everyday make-up if you put on glasses.

At the same time, you should be careful not to apply too much make-up, because you also do not want the eyes to blend in with the glasses as a big "bluff" but you just want to emphasize the eyes underneath. So it is a balancing act between too much and too little makeup, but if you are unsure, in this case it is better with too little than too much.

On my glasses, it is the underside of the eyes that are completely expanded - so I have put much darker under the eye. But the arch "cuts off" the eyelids a bit, so there I want to put very bright and shimmery both on the eyelid and under the brow so that it will appear more there behind the arch.

And since we apply more make-up so that the eyes can be seen under the marked frames, there will be a lot of focus on the eyes once we have put on the glasses. Therefore, it is important not to forget blush and lips, to get a harmonious balance in the face. If you like colorful lips, choose a discreet blush, and if you like more discreet lips, you can choose a slightly more pigmented blush. Much of both eyes, blush and lips will not give balance, but will on the contrary give a "messy" impression. Bet on two details instead of three.

For dark marked frames, it is also really nice but almost unmade-up eyes, and really colorful lips!

Narrow spectacle frames:

Many people think that narrow frames do not make any difference to how to put on make-up, because they are so narrow that they do not directly hide the eyes. But regardless of size, people you meet will always see the glasses before the eyes, and therefore you need to mark the eyes a little extra for the eyes to be visible anyway.
You can think a little "the other way around" from wide arcs. With wide frames, you should be careful not to apply too much make-up - then the make-up and the wide frames will be like a big hit. But with narrow frames, you can apply a little extra makeup to make your eyes visible!
Do not be afraid to take an extra dark eye shadow, e.g. black, in the outer edges of the eyes. When you put on the glasses, you will need the extra intensity in the gaze, even though it may feel "too much" without the glasses. On my glasses, the frame hides the eyelid a little, so I want to keep it pretty bright there. But under the eye, and especially to the sides, there is a lot of space - and there I put a little extra dark!
Round spectacle frames:
Untitled-1111
Round glasses are super nice, but it can be a little difficult to wear, especially if you do not think about how the shape of the makeup is affected by the glasses.
What many find difficult with round arches is that they feel like an owl with such globular eyes. It is nice with big eyes, but to avoid the owl feeling under the round frames, I recommend making the eyes so that they are as elongated and almond-shaped as possible (by applying the shadow more outwards in the outer corner of the eye). Then the glo feeling disappears!
A lot of the whole eye is visible on my glasses, but the eyebrows are a bit hidden so I fill them in a little extra so that they are visible anyway. And besides, you should not apply the eye shadow for  extended in the outer corner of the eye, it may look strange if it goes so far out that it is visible outside the sides of the arches.
To get some contrast to the round glasses, it can be nice to break off with marked cheekbones, so that the whole face does not look around. Apply a shadow / sun powder that is a little darker than your own skin tone, just below the cheekbone and up to the ear!

General makeup tips for people with glasses:

Highlight the eyes
Work a lot with both light and dark eye shadows, as well as shimmery and matte. This creates contrasts which in turn will attract more attention to the eyes. You apply the light / shimmery shadows on the areas you want to emphasize more - the corner of the eye and the eyelid for example. You can use the dark / matte shadows to create more depth in the make-up, for example along the globe line.

Enlarge the eyes
Highlighting the eyes and enlarging them is a bit of the same principle, but two details that are very useful for the eye to look bigger and more open are first and foremost to lighten the waterline with a light eyeliner. If you have small eyes / drooping eyelids, I also recommend painting the dark shadow in the globe line a little higher up than what your globe line actually sits - this gives the impression of a larger eyelid and a more open look.

Adapt to the shape of the glasses
Put on your glasses and look straight ahead in the mirror. Which parts of the eyes are hidden, and which are clearly visible? In the areas where the spectacle frame takes up a lot of space, it can be a good idea to work mostly with light shadows to emphasize, and in the areas where it is completely open, you can focus.

Eyebrows
Do not forget to fill in the eyebrows, otherwise they disappear easily behind the frames. Feel free to make a high shape for the frames that I have, it's nice if they end up over the frame as much as possible, and not down to the same height so that they blend into the upper edge of the frame.

Primer
An eyeshadow primer is important if you want to bring out the pigments in the eyeshadows properly, so that they are more visible under the glasses. An eye shadow primer is applied after foundation, before eye shadows.

Complementary colors
The make-up that I will show you is quite neutral, so that it will suit everyone. But color will always make your eyes more visible during make-up, and it's so beautiful! A tip for emphasizing your particular eye color is to use the complementary color.

Blue eyesYellow, orange, gold, bronze.
Brown eyes Cold colors such as blue.
Green eyesPurple and purple toner.

The basic make-up
The basic make-up can often get dirty on the glasses during the day, which destroys both your good-looking foundation and soils the frames. Apply a lot of powder around the eyes when you put on make-up, and improve during the day even if you are prone to getting oily. Then your basic make-up is more "fixed" and will not slip around and get stuck on the frames.

This tip is especially important for large and round arches, which often touch the cheeks very much if you, like me, have large "apple cheeks".

Myopia / farsightedness
If you are nearsighted, the glass in the glasses makes your eyes look smaller - work hard to enlarge the eyes.
If you are farsighted, the glass in the glasses makes your eyes look bigger - this is usually not a problem as many of us like big eyes, then you can just follow your natural features to emphasize what you already have. If, on the other hand, you want to reduce the eyes, you can apply very dark closest to the eyes (eg dark eyeliner along the waterline and lash lines) and then apply light along the crease.

Here are examples of how the make-up can differ depending on the glasses:

When it was time to show you the day's make - up, my sister called and ordered me to come with her and train! I got there because I let her take the job as my personal trainer, and because I told her to be tough because I always have excuses not to follow…;)

The most important thing for me is that it should at least be fun to train, and Mia is good at that! Among other things, we jogged backwards and rocked a rock ring.

There will be a little extra abdominal training of all laughter attacks as well, I really can not be serious when I do not train alone! When we train our arms with dumbbells, we have to stand with our backs to each other so that I do not psych her with my laughing, haha. It must look incredibly fun for those who walk by, Mia trains with a serious look and super big weights, while I stand the other way, with my dumbbells without weights, just the small bar, and crazy laughs :)

My glamorous party make-up and long painted nails do not immediately make me look more serious, luckily I do not train in a packed gym haha!

In any case, I'm good at coming out and taking the training! Starting to get a real vulture neck of all blogging :)

Now I will take a long and comfortable shower, then it will be a much-needed beauty sleep. Today's make-up you will see tomorrow instead!

Kraaaaam!
