Update

2

Hello darlings!

Now I'm back on track after a full day of hassle! :)

I started the day with make-up, so you get a step-by-step make-up as soon as I sat down and looked through the pictures. Then I took the bus to the bank and have spent the whole day in Östhammar it feels like. Here is my day in ten points:

1. The bank said that I have to report the disappearance of the money to the police so that they can help me complain about the money, however, it will be a while before I get it back.
2. The police were at lunch.
3. Coffee break at Mjölnarens Mat & Café, always nice :)
4. The police needed more papers from the bank to make a report.
5. The bank checked the papers and saw that some of the money went to an account in the US, and the rest went to the Swedish company I spoke to yesterday who knew nothing about the transactions.
6. The police make a report.
7. While I am with the police, the company calls me and says that there has been a fraud on something left, but that they will pay it back as early as next week.
8. Back to the bank with a police report. Just need to complain about the money that went to the US account.
9. Miss the bus, it's raining.
10. Comes home and sees a spider at the keyhole, does not come in! Luckily the neighbor was home and could save me :)

So it was a heavenly run between the bank and the police today! Then I bought home grapes and strawberries, googled "cute animals" pictures and listened to Celine Dion, and now I'm happy again and ready to grab today's to-do list! :)

Reader Question - Primer

Felicia sa…
"Hello! I have lately become much more interested in make-up, partly thanks to your blog. Very good inspiration! In any case, I have a problem. ALL eye shadow settles in the globe line / disappears completely after only 3-4 hours. I have tried a few different primers, such as Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Urban Decay primer potion, Lumenes eyeshadow base, elf primers and MAC paint pot. I have also tried with concealer (kicks own and mac pro longwear), with and without powder on top of the primer, etc. I have tried both cheap and expensive eye shadows, there is a little difference but I still have to redo almost everything after a few hours.

Is there anything I can do about this, or is it just to accept that I get to improve my makeup all the time? This is a lot of work, really appreciate if you answer. Thanks in advance!"

What fun that I have managed to inspire you, it makes me very happy! :)

The most common mistake you make when using primer is not to saturate it properly with eye shadow. If you put something damp on the eyelid, the week will come when you blink if it does not dry quickly.

Dab on the eye shadow and press it into the primer, preferably do not pull the brush sideways until you have all the eye shadow. When you have applied a layer of eye shadow, you can always dab a little extra to be sure that you have applied enough and fixed the primer.

Another detail that can play a role is if you apply too much  primer, then it will in principle be impossible to fix it with the eyeshadow and then it remains moist and settles in the creases after a while. You should have an even layer that covers the surface you are going to apply make-up on, but it must not be thick.

I use Lumen eye primer, which you have also tested, and it lasts for me all day and evening even when I use super cheap shadows.

Hope my tips work for you, good luck! :)

Cheap nailfoils

I have written and reviewed nail foil from Nailz.se before, it's kind of like "stickers" with patterns that you can have instead of nail polish, super fun I think! :)

On my salon nails it lasts super well for several days, it probably fits worse on regular nails that are not as smooth, but since it fits so really well on my nails, it should fit pretty well on regular ones as well.

The reason I am writing about this again is to tell you that you can become a "test pilot" for their new nail film! Then you can buy five packages for SEK 95 free of charge (instead of SEK 39 each) in exchange for a review.

So have you thought about testing this then you have a good deal there :) click here to get to the test pilot page!

I had luminous spotted nails, I loved them! A bit like a discreet night light when you would sleep :)

Have a nice Friday!

My photo studio

10

I often get questions about how I take my pictures, I am not photogenic but what helps me a lot on the stack is that the light is already pretty good where I stand!

We have quite large windows in the apartment that let in light, and I have them right in front of me so that I get an even daylight over my face. In addition, I have a white wall behind me when I take photos. In addition, I use a 50 mm lens and shoot with a remote shutter release, that lens does a lot because it lets in more light than what is standard for the camera.

Offers a silly picture where my extremely professional photo studio looks good! The arm happens to end up outside the wall area which is not much wider than me (it's just the side of the wardrobes in the hall) and the remote control is clearly visible in the hand :)

Unfortunately you do not get any make-up from me today, these are the days you wish you were several in the company so you had time / strength to get some work done even though not everything goes as planned!

Money has disappeared from my company account (several thousand) that should not have disappeared. I thought it was another company that made a mistake only when their name was a reference (and I have had business with them lately) so half the morning was spent talking on the phone with them - who had no idea about these transactions .

But when I then went home and checked the mail, and saw that I had received a letter from the bank stating that they had discovered "unauthorized transactions" and therefore blocked my card, all the pieces of the puzzle fell into place. So tomorrow it will be to go to the bank in Östhammar and keep my fingers crossed that I can get my money back, I do not know at all how that kind of thing works because it has never happened to me before!

Now I'll sit down and deal with some mail, and then I'll probably lie down on the sofa with some ice cream and catch up on all the Top Model episodes I've missed;)

We'll hear from you tomorrow - new day, new days!
