Salon nails for a long time

As you know, I fix my nails at the salon, more specifically at Nails Uppsala - where you also have 15 % discount if you enter my blog when booking :)

But I and many others think it is a bit cumbersome (and expensive) to have to redo them so often, 4-5 week intervals are recommended and it is necessary because mine are always worn after a while even though they are whole. And no matter how careful you are, you can not affect the growth of the nail, which is quite visible after a while.

I have an hour bus ride to Uppsala, and with travel time, waiting time, and nail time, it takes about 5 hours for me to go in and fix my nails. In addition, I am always so happy with my nails, and then it is always so boring if you have to redo them quickly, I want to get tired before I try something new :)

Here comes three tips to you who are hungry for salon nails, but who do not want me to do them so often:

outgrowth salognails

1. Do not make them so long in the salon. After a month, they will have grown out and become much longer, and if you wait even longer, they will both be "ugly long" and very difficult to handle if they were very long from day one.

2. Paint a design where you deliberately leave the area closest to the cuticles skin-colored. Then the growth will not be so clear when the skin color melts into the nail!

Buy gel polish + lamp from Depend. Then you can lately make a transparent layer of gel polish yourself at home! This is both to repair any wear on the nail, but also to make the growth appear much smaller as it both becomes shiny and ends up at the same height as the rest of the nail. With gel polish, you can easily apply a little more nail polish on only part of the nail, and therefore you can "build up" the growth part so that it is not lower than the rest of the nail. It's worth the money too, because Depends gel polish is wonderful for the toenails now for the summer! :)

I did my nails on March 31st, and have time for new ones on May 19th and then my nails are in the 8th week! Wonderfully!

Lumene Matt Touch Deep-cleansing Peat Mask

Here is the latest review of Lumene's new cleansing series Matt Touch which is adapted for oily skin, and the only product I have not written about though is the face mask ”Deep-cleansing Peat Mask”.

I love face masks and the beautiful feeling afterwards, but you rarely really look in the mirror for and actually looks  the difference. But I did it with this one! So much so that I thought I was imagining and had to try again - and then it got even better!

So it would be great fun if someone else who tests this writes how it went, because I am a little shocked myself that I got results so quickly and want to hear if there are more than me who got it :)

(Is it just me who feels good in a face mask? I think it's because it highlights the eyes and mouth so nicely, haha)

What the face mask does is remove extra fat and impurities from the skin and tighten the pores - and that was exactly what I saw the difference right away, the pores were much less visible! I was really clean and nice in the face afterwards, and the skin was soft and smooth. So happy! :)

The main ingredient in the mask is an Arctic mineral-rich peat that cleanses and gives the skin radiance thanks to its antibacterial properties. It improves the skin's blood circulation and metabolism. The mask also contains aromatic rosemary that opens the pores so that the peat's cleansing and antibacterial effect goes in and cleans deeply!

The mask is easy to apply and the effect time is about 10 minutes and then the mask has dried. Rinse off with warm water.

It says in the instructions that the mask can stick a little in the skin after you have applied it, but it was nothing I felt at all.

I regret that I did not take before and after pictures before, I did not expect such a visible result. But I have close-ups of my pores before, and have not noticed any difference since I took them. So I can offer an old before-picture that should be correct, so you can compare with the new after-picture!

When it comes to small details such as pores, there is often a difference that you only notice yourself, but of course it can be seen in the picture as well :)

As I said, I have not tested the entire series for a long time but only once per product, but from what I can judge, I think this is a top series for you with oily and acne-prone skin!

Two thumbs up for this face mask in other words! :)

Why not put on fresh make-up

Miska - Blablablablabla (talks to me when I put on my make-up)
I - Nämen, va, hu, hu, hur ……. jahaaaaa!
Miska - ???
I - I happened to dip the brush in Annika's Favorite Shadow instead of concealer !!

Miska was quick with the camera… You are so good-looking when you are not prepared;)

I had just a tiny bit of concealer shaken out of the strainer in the concealer jar, and next to it was the false eye shadow with a lot of powder, and without even looking, I dipped the whole brush in the eye shadow full of powder and smacked in the face!

Looked in the mirror for several seconds before I could understand why I got so much concealer and why it was so light, haha. But what luck that it was light and not dark, it would have been hard!IMG_3509_111

Is it really just me who succeeds with this? :) You can share with me so I do not feel so alone!

Soft sweeping

Do you think it's nice with dark eye shadow sooted around the eyes, but do not really thrive in the dark and intense feeling you get? In such cases, I recommend keeping the waterline light, and skip the eyeliner!

If you only have a dark eye shadow soaked around the eyes and skip framing the look with an eyeliner, you get a very soft result and your eyes will not look as dark even though the eye shadow really is :)

Here comes such a make-up!

Tonight it will be wine coziness with wonderful Kristin who has come home from the USA! She studies in college there but comes home over the summer. Mom is not home so Kristin and I are going to rape her house, cook fine dining, drink wine in front of the stove and just catch up on a lot of bullshit. So cozy! :)

Hope you have as nice an evening as I will have!

John Frieda Hairspray

John Frieda is a celebrity hairdresser in England who has started his own hair care brand called John Frieda, and the brand has become big thanks to their successful series Frizz Ease which is specifically for fresh and curly hair.

I have tested the hair spray ”Frizz Ease Moisture Barrier Hairspray”From this series, and thought to give you a review :)

The main thing the hair spray does is to maintain your hair styling despite the humid environment, which is why it is called Moisture Barrier - moisture barrier. When the weather looks like it does today, rainy and generally humid, it is difficult to get the hairstyle to hold. People with curly hair who curl it get curly again, and people with flat hair who curl it get flat again.

In addition, it contains a UV filter that protects your hair from the sun!

I have not tried to crazy-curl my hair with this and tested how well it lasts, but I who have hair extensions now notice in this weather that my braids I get because I sleep in braids are not as nice anymore - My real hair flat, while the loose hair becomes curly! But I avoid this with this hair spray and it is really nice :)

At the same time, I would have liked it to feel a little more comfortable in the hair, it dries quickly, which is good, but it also becomes quite stiff in the strands, which I do not really like. But it smells good, a little sweet and fruity!

Costs SEK 99 for 250 ml (my bottle in the picture is only 75 ml) and can be bought for example here!

Any of you who have tested this series? :)
