As you know, I fix my nails at the salon, more specifically at Nails Uppsala - where you also have 15 % discount if you enter my blog when booking :)
But I and many others think it is a bit cumbersome (and expensive) to have to redo them so often, 4-5 week intervals are recommended and it is necessary because mine are always worn after a while even though they are whole. And no matter how careful you are, you can not affect the growth of the nail, which is quite visible after a while.
I have an hour bus ride to Uppsala, and with travel time, waiting time, and nail time, it takes about 5 hours for me to go in and fix my nails. In addition, I am always so happy with my nails, and then it is always so boring if you have to redo them quickly, I want to get tired before I try something new :)
Here comes three tips to you who are hungry for salon nails, but who do not want me to do them so often:
1. Do not make them so long in the salon. After a month, they will have grown out and become much longer, and if you wait even longer, they will both be "ugly long" and very difficult to handle if they were very long from day one.
2. Paint a design where you deliberately leave the area closest to the cuticles skin-colored. Then the growth will not be so clear when the skin color melts into the nail!
Buy gel polish + lamp from Depend. Then you can lately make a transparent layer of gel polish yourself at home! This is both to repair any wear on the nail, but also to make the growth appear much smaller as it both becomes shiny and ends up at the same height as the rest of the nail. With gel polish, you can easily apply a little more nail polish on only part of the nail, and therefore you can "build up" the growth part so that it is not lower than the rest of the nail. It's worth the money too, because Depends gel polish is wonderful for the toenails now for the summer! :)
I did my nails on March 31st, and have time for new ones on May 19th and then my nails are in the 8th week! Wonderfully!
