Summer tips - Highlighter

Using highlighter (for example, sweep a little on the cheekbones) is a great tip in the summer when you want a lot of radiance in the skin but do not have the energy to spend so much time in front of the make-up mirror.

It does a lot for your whole look, you get a lot more life in the face. And why not apply a little on the body as well, for example shoulders and collarbones? :) Super nice!

As I wrote a few days ago, my wallet echoes, and I can not afford to try as much new stuff as I can tell you.

So I keep my eyes open for tips from the outside!

Now I saw that Tove Castor, who actually mainly runs a stylist / everyday blog, tipped about this mineral highlighter from MAC. It was her new favorite in the makeup bag!

Two thumbs up for highlighter!

Ps. There will be a make-up later today, just go out and enjoy the sun first. It's Sunday :)

Do you have any wishes? Party make-up, everyday, a certain color combination?

Talk about makeup in today's podcast!

0

At the beginning of the summer, I was involved in recording an episode of the podcast "What are you wearing”Which is mainly about fashion. In today's episode, however, it is makeup and beauty that are at the center!

These are the blogs Flora and Elin Östman which is in the program, and it is published on Swedish Radio on Saturdays at 14.00.

Today it's my turn! I've never done anything like this before, so you have to be a little tolerant if you do not think I'm the best radio talker in the world :)

And hope my bright voice is not too hard to listen to, haha.

Listen below or go to Swedish Radio here!
(I have some trouble playing with Google Chrome, but it works well with Internet Explorer)

Elin, me and Flora.
Lovely girls! :)

The make-up I am talking about is this "natural summer make-up".

The blue mascara is from Anastasia Hypercolor Brow & Lash Tint.

And the "braid" or "spinner" we mention is this hairstyle.

I took these pictures after I got home, it was real rain chaos! That's why I look so worn, I just dried :)

Well, hope you like the podcast!

Answers to questions about gel polish

4

I have received a lot of questions about the gel nail polish from Depend that I wrote about earlier in this post.

Now I have had it for so long that I can answer all the questions in one post, because there are probably more of you who are wondering!

Sara sa…
Does it last as long as they promise?

Yes it lasts for 2-3 weeks. I had my paint for 1 week, but it could have lasted much longer. I mainly wanted to try a new color, and I also got a notch in my thumbnail when I slanted with a knife.

In addition, some nails had grown so fast that there were several millimeters between the cuticle and the nail polish. Never realized that nails grow so fast! :)

Lotta sa…
Can you paint something else on top later? And remove the solid gel varnish that remains?

Absolutely! If you want a different color one day, or maybe paint a glitter varnish over, then it goes away with a regular remover without destroying the gel varnish underneath.

Line sa…
What did you think it was like to remove the old varnish? Easy? Smooth? Complicated and time consuming?
When I looked around a bit on other blogs, there were a lot of people who thought that the bit of removal took away the good with the idea, because it was so cumbersome, etc., and therefore did not recommend it at all, even if application and durability were good. So it would be fun to know what you thought! And the new varnish was shitty :)

It was super easy, went in a minute! However, my nails did not turn out super nice so I had to polish them a bit, I have very fragile nails that easily split.

I did not use the remover, if you pick up a "tab" you can pull off the entire varnish in one piece. However, you must have had the paint for a while then, so it started to drop a bit. Mine had not let go so that it was visible, but I felt when I pulled my fingers through my hair that the straw got a little stuck in the edges.

If, on the other hand, you use the remover, it is a bit time consuming as you wrap the nails (with remover) in foil, and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then the nail polish comes off in pieces, just like it did for me without a remover.

Anonymous sa…
Can you do a French manicure with them?

Yes it does! There are two different nail polishes, french pink (no.136) and frech pink pearl (no.000). Choose one of them and a white nail polish.

Start with the base coat and harden it under the LED lamp as usual. Then apply the pink varnish, harden. Paint the white varnish on the tips, harden. Apply another coat of pink nail polish, harden and finish with top coat as usual.

Just ask more questions if you have any more questions! :)

Party Friday?

Sometimes I do not understand myself.

I did a make-up yesterday, after lying in the deck chair for half the day. I was completely rested, not a bit stressed and besides, I'm still young and should have better control of my head than I have.

I completely forgot to take full pictures of the make-up!

And when I realized this, I had already washed everything away. How do you succeed?

You can simply be content with just eye pictures today, they are probably the most important ones anyway :)

Light eye shadow on the eyelid and in the corner of the eye, Pur Minerals Trio Palette (Rock Goddess)
Black eye shadow along the lower lash line and the globe line, Pur Minerals Trio Palette (Rock Goddess)
Gray eye shadow at the bottom of the lower lash line, Pur Minerals Trio Palette (Rock Goddess)

Black eyeliner along the waterline, gloMinerals Precision Eye Pencil.
Black eyeliner along the upper lash line, Kryolan Cake Eyeliner.
Black mascara on all lashes, Peggy Sage Dreamy Cils Mascara.

A little inspiration for tonight's feats? :)

New nail polish!

Bought new gel polish from Depend yesterday, pink with shimmer :)

The gel nails that I fixed 1 week ago were still a slap in the face, except for a scratch in the thumb nail after a pick-onion incident the day before yesterday (oops).

So I did not really need to remove it, but I got a little abstinence after pink, hihi.

Fint va?

Do you see how long my thumbnail has been, it has been a long time!

The nail polish I have now is nr.087.

Have a nice Friday! I'll have it :)
