I am currently using body products from the Rituals series Ayurveda, and thought to give you a review on their body scrub Himalaya Scrub.
"According to classical Ayurvedic science, scrubbing is considered a very effective way to cleanse the body and stimulate the flow of energy in it. The process is accelerated if you then take a hot bath. Contains ancient crystal salt from the Himalayas with a cleansing and harmonizing effect for inner balance and vitality. ”
First of all, I like to scrub myself with this, it is a "salt scrub" and really scrubs the skin proper, no mes-peeling if you say so :) But there are details with it that are added to be good, but which I do not really know if I like or not.
Costs SEK 185 for 450 grams, the jar is large!
"The ancient Ayurvedic ingredient Fresh Mint revitalizes the body and provides a refreshing effect"
The first thing I do not know if I like or not is that it has a cooling effect, such as mint or Vick's ointment, which at first really shocked me and I thought my skin got an allergic reaction haha (as usual I had not read properly on the package before use, must improve!).
But when I read "cooling effect" on the jar and calmed down, it was actually quite nice in the hot shower. Especially in the bath I took yesterday, when the whole body is in hot water, it became a wonderful contrast for the skin! However, I do not want to keep the cold feeling after the shower, but it sat for a while.
"This cleansing scrub leaves an intense protective oil layer on the skin"
The second is that it becomes like a thin layer of oil on the skin afterwards that will care for and protect the skin. I would like to feel 100% clean after the shower and then lubricate myself, at the same time as it was nice to avoid lubrication and also my skin today (the day after) is really smooth, soft and and comfortable :)
The texture is like a snowdrift with lots of salt in it, and it smells wonderfully good of rose and sweet almond!
The conclusion is that this is a really good scrub with a superb end result where you actually feel the difference on the skin the day after, while it is a matter of taste if you like to use it or not :)
Have a still nice day nice ni!
Hi, you must have used the old acrub and not the one in the picture. The new one (pictured) does not contain mint or mint and no longer has the cooling effect. Go into a ritual shop and you will have a wonderful experience at their sink.
Pleasant evening!
I took the picture before I used it, so it's the one I used :) Have a nice evening!
