I thought I liked my straightener (which is starting to get quite old) until last week I got the straightener home GA.MA IHT Tourmaline from the Italian brand GA.MA Italy Professional. I love it!

GA.MA's styling tool was launched in Italy by Mario Gardini and is now sold, 45 years later, in over 50 countries. The first model GA.MA 110 was recognized by stylists in the 70s and 80s. Since then, the company has expanded to develop better and better products, and IHT Tourmaline has received several awards, including Professional Pliers of the Year in Sweden, Denmark, Great Britain and Poland!

The model IHT Tourmaline is slim and stylish, and the cord is very long, which I was relieved because I hate short / half-length cords when I fix my hair.

The heat is evenly distributed over the ceramic tiles, and it is really efficient! My hair extensions are quite difficult to flatten, partly because it is much coarser than my own hair and a bit half-curly, but also because I always sleep in braids, which means that I always have to flatten curls, which takes a while. But with this straightener there are no problems, not even though I drive on low heat!

I even managed to make a small lid! I who am cash on hair and especially bad on curls, maybe I should also be able to learn this? Need to google some video tutorials now hehe :)

The other thing that surprised me positively is the digital screen that shows the exact degrees. When you put on the pliers it is at 0 ° and you see how it quickly increases 1,2,3,4,5,6… .. and it is very, very quick to get it to 140 ° which is the default setting! I also tested raising and lowering, and it also goes very fast, even when it gets cooler. Absolutely perfect if you, like me, have poor patience and want to know exactly when I can start using it - or how far it is before I can.

140 ° is the setting as it stays for the first time, but the straightener also has a memory card that memorizes the temperature you use the most and will go directly to your favorite temp when you turn it on! 140 ° is the lowest temperature, and 230 ° is the highest.

The buttons are easy to understand without having to read the instruction manual, even for non-technical little me!
+/- regulates the heat.
Power button.
The M button allows the heat to be regulated to 200 ° directly without having to press + or -.

Nothing more strange than that! :)

Love that it says "never use the device when you are barefoot" haha. It must be some safety thing they have written in order not to be sued IF something with the electricity should happen? Should you flatten your hair in rubber boots or? :) Or is there any other logical explanation for this?

Anyway, this straightener can REALLY be recommended! Fast heat, efficient, slim and easy to work with, hair slides easily between the plates, even heat, long cord, digital screen. Nothing to complain about :)

Hugs from me!
