Terracotta ombré eyeliner (Step by step makeup)

Today's eyeliner I think was so heavenly, heavenly nice! A Terracotta ombre eyeliner, plus a step by step make-up! :)

In the close-ups it does not look very special but in some places the ombre effect was much nicer :)

Fint va? :)

Bassmink:
Face primer - Pixi Flawless & poreless primer
Concealer - Pixi Pat Away Concealer (2 Nude)
Foundation - gloMinerals pressed base foundation (Golden medium)
Powders for redness - gloMinerals Redness Relief Powder
Contouring & highlighter - Pixi Contour Creator
Rouge - Blush (35)
Fixing mist - Pixi makeup fixing mist
Net matting powder - Paese Bamboo Silk Powder

Brynpenna - Benecos Eyebrow designer (brunette)

Lip pencil - Benecos natural lip liner (Brown) and a little Pixi Shea Butter Lip balm (Ripe raspberry)

I did not work very much with the eyeliner colors to get a nice transition and clean lines, which can be seen in the close-up, I see afterwards, but in reality it looked very even and nice!

The eyeliner is made with eye shadows mixed with the liquid Kryolan Cake Liner Sealer so the eyeliner colors are actually from one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes glo Skin Beauty Shadow Quad (Bon Voyage)

The eyeshadows are from the palette glo Skin Beauty Shadow Quad (Bon Voyage) unless otherwise stated:

  1. Light terracotta eyeshadow mixed with Kryolan Cake liner sealer as eyeliner along the entire fringe, wider at the end
  2. Brown eyeshadow mixed with Kryolan Cake liner sealer, mark the underside of the eyeliner wing
  3. Continue with the same shade over the light terracotta colored.
  4. Fill in the eyeliner wing with the brown shadow
  5. The same brown shade (solid outside Kryolan Cake Liner Sealer) along the globe line and out in a cat eye shape but not all the way down to the eyeliner. Very discreet, sweep on the color only.
  6. White eye shadow in the corner of the eye and under the eyeliner, Paese cashmere eyeshadow (601)
Black mascara on the upper lashes, Magnetic lash mascara

Clear!

Very nice everyday make-up I think :)

Hugs are!

Highlighter for oily skin

A luminous highlighter is so heavenly beautiful, but if you, like me, have very oily skin, there is often full focus on matte, matte, matte because we get so much natural luster (read cool hehe) from ourselves during the day anyway.

If I have a foundation with luster and then highlighter on it, it looks nice for about a quarter of an hour, then the luster becomes together, but the oil as if the whole face is a disco ball. Many say to me "oh do you have oily skin what a luxury, always such a nice glow!" but there is a difference between a fresh glow and looking completely wet on the face haha.

But at the same time you can not help but yearn for that perfect base full of radiant glow that looks so naturally fresh, so here are my best tips for a radiant base that is also suitable for oily skin!

1. Decreasing basic products
Having a base that keeps the skin matte for as long as possible and is not only oil-free but also absorbs the oil is very important. In other words, an oil-free product means that it does not add more oil but not that it is degrading, for best results we need both oil-free and degrading products.

If you have that base, you can add luster in other ways instead!

A matte base to start with! I took photos step by step on this basis as well but thought the post was a bit long so I skipped them :)

2. Do not apply the highlighter where you get the most oily
Now to the step I want to focus on!

The oiliness usually comes mostly in the middle of the face, the T-zone, the apple cheeks and the chin and it is usually in these places that you apply the most highlighter.

Instead, I usually apply highlighter like this:

On the cheekbones I put more on the sides of the face and in front of the apple cheek I put incredibly sparingly or nothing at all.

On the chin, I lay a little further down on the chin and completely skip laying right in the middle of the chin.

The nose is usually the most oily part of the face, I put highlighter just right on top, the bridge of the nose is completely free of highlighter and all types of glow products.

In the forehead, you do not have to put it right in the middle of the forehead, but can focus more on the sides and down towards the temple.

But it's nice to get a little glow in the middle of the face as well and then I focus on smaller areas that are not as oily:

Amorbågen! Here I do not get so shiny and it's really nice with luster here :)

And in the corner of the eye, this is a glowy highlighter and not an eye shadow so you can take a fairly large, fluffy brush and swipe over a fairly large area at the corner of the eye. It does not have to be so much precision.

And finally under the eyebrow!

The highlighter I have used is the one inside the palette Pixi Contour Creator and it is quite mild so I see that it is not so clearly seen in the picture. But you see anyway that despite high coverage and degrading products I have a natural base that does not look like a flat, matte mask? :) And you can simply trust me when I say that I actually had a complexion full of luster haha.

If you want a more effective glowy highlighter, I can also recommend Pixi Glow-Y-Powder which I wrote about in this post! It gives a lot of effect, is available in 3 colors and is incredibly nice.

Hope the tips were helpful ♥

Review - NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil 604 Milk as an eye primer

Using the thick, white pen NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in the shade 604 Milk Lait as an eye shadow primer is very common and I have seen makeup artists / bloggers use it for several, several years :)

Still, I myself have not tested this until now, I am a little shocked myself that it has not happened before actually haha!

What is the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil?
In short about the pen, it is a cream in pen form that is described as a multi-product, works well as an eye shadow, wide eyeliner, highlighter in the corner of the eye or as I said - as an eye shadow primer.

Recommended retail price is SEK 69 so it is affordable too, HERE (adlink) it costs 65 kroner + free shipping.

How does it work as an eye shadow primer then? Here is my review!

Application
The pen is easy to apply, the formula is soft so it slides on the eyelid very easily without having to touch.

It gets very sharp right away, but it is easily toned out by dabbing a little with your fingertip.

Then it will be like this!

Results
A creamy and reasonably sticky base that the eye shadows attach really well to! They become pigment-rich and although it is quite creamy, it is easy to fade out the shadows also because it is not for sticky.

sustainability
It is at this point that it is lacking.

You who follow me know how oily I am in the skin and the eyelids are no exception, therefore I get picky about eye shadow primers (and think it is so very important to use!) Because a person with dry skin has reviewed a primer that is great so does not mean it will fit on my super fat eyelids. And so does not this one either.

At the end of the day, I looked in the mirror and in the globe line, the eye shadow lay like two lines. Very sad because otherwise I liked this a lot!

Summary - Easy to apply, affordable and makes the eye shadows colorful and good-looking while being easy to fade. But if you have very oily skin, this is not an eye shadow primer for you as in such cases it does not last a whole day. However, I think that you with less oily eyelids can get good durability with this because on a large part of the eyelids the eyeshadow was still nice, it was along the globe line where it is most oily + stress when you blink as the eyeshadow was like a line.

I skip the rating of the pen because I only judge how it works as an eye shadow primer, and it is not even a property that products themselves promise but only private individuals who have realized that it works well for it :)

This is an old product in the NYX range, so surely more of you have tried to use this as a primer? Or as an eye shadow / eyeliner? Will it be sustainable for you?

You can buy it HERE if you are hungry! :)

Hug!
