Dark green sweeping step by step

I am very happy with today's makeup! Since I love to help and want you to recreate all my looks yourself, it is a balance between how many advanced and artistic make-ups I should do compared to the number of more useful make-ups that you will actually use yourself.

But that's why I like these types of make-up a lot - where I get a little color and creativity while the make-up is easy to wear and works for all occasions :)

Hope you get inspired too!

Bassmink:
Face primer - Pixi Flawless & poreless primer
Concealer - Pixi Pat Away Concealer (2 Nude)
Foundation - gloMinerals pressed base foundation (Golden medium)
Powders for redness - gloMinerals Redness Relief Powder
Contouring & highlighter - Pixi Contour Creator
Rouge - gloMinerals Blush (Papaya)
Fixing mist - Pixi makeup fixing mist
Net matting powder - Paese Bamboo Silk Powder

Brynpenna - gloMinerals Micro Brow Liner (Ash and Dark brown)

Lips - gloMinerals Lip Liner (Moxie) at the edges (red) and tint it with gloMinerals Suede Matte Crayon (Trademark) on the rest of the lips (a neutral mlbb color)

I think I get so heavenly cute in make-up where I pulled out the eyeshadow in the outer edge from the lower lash line a little down haha! It not only makes the whole make-up look more creative but also gives the same effect as a laugh, you look a little happier and I love that :)

Do you agree?

  1. Eyeshadow primer, Pixi eye bright primer
Brown shimmery eye shadow at the end of the eyelid and along the globe line, glo Skin Beauty Shadow Quad (Rebel Angel)

My business week

This week has been a 6-day week for me with early mornings and late evenings!

I have had more bookings and staffed the reception a little more than usual, not super much but enough to have to catch up with all the other daily work in the evening. And last Saturday we had so many bookings that we were 4 fully booked makeup artists at the salon, we are usually 2, so then I had to jump in too :)

Balance: To be a doer and at the same time build smart from the ground up
Last Friday I had a day like that where I felt so excited that I could barely focus on my to do list because I just wanted to get started on new projects and ideas now, now, now!

I have always been a person who starts right away as soon as I get an idea. Everything from big ideas like starting the webshop, starting with clothes in the webshop (an old idea I had before that took a whole spring and then I kind of regretted it right when we got started haha), starting the salon etc to small ideas like starting a video podcast with sister (which is also a closed chapter at present), bring in a new brand, hire a new person e.g. a barber who is the new addition, etc. Everything should be done at once, preferably yesterday! :)

But now my dreams are so big that I do not know if I should be a "doer" and just get started or if I should wait for the right timing when I have a perfect contact or more experience. It is a nice balance between daring to jump and being smart and building from scratch. When the ideas require a little more research and there are a thousand ways to take like, it might come as fate and on a banana peel if I sit in the boat for a while, things can happen quickly, or it will still not be so and then can I just as well start now.

I have the courage, for me personally it is not about daring but about being smarter. But sometimes I get so excited and happy that it gets hard because I do not want to wait I want to do everything nuuu haha :)

Helena's makeup school
This week I had training with the makeup artists at work! Of course, they are already super talented, but it is important that we all have the same beauty values and explain things in much the same way. In addition, it is good to sometimes get to play with the make-up of a person who is not a customer and is not under time pressure! :)

On Monday evening after work, I prepared materials for the training:

Filmed when I made eyeliner with wing, which I then photographed and showed the guidelines even more clearly:

Then on Tuesday we all stayed after work! I held a review with eyeliner and eyeliner wing and how to easily describe the guidelines for a customer and also give tips on how that person can most easily do it on themselves at home.

On the way home I saw on Zahra's insta story that she had filmed a bit from my review haha, I took this print screen :)

Then they each had a model that they made up!

Thanks to this joint workshop, we also came up with two new tips that I have never thought of before!

  1. If you have a light skin tone, a light eyeliner works (which, for example, is used for the waterline otherwise, we used the shade Peach from gloMinerals) perfect for smoothing the eyeliner! If e.g. one side becomes a little sharper than the other. It was so heavenly smooth :)
  2. Cutting the false eyelashes in 3 parts and then applying to the lash line can be more convenient for the customer instead of a whole line as the skin becomes a little more locked then. But now the result tip we came to: If you are going to divide the fringe into 3 parts, it is much better to choose loose lashes with a soft edge that form more easily to the lash line! A fringe with a harder bottom made the skin settle a little differently on the 3 parts, which made the eyeliner suddenly look uneven. I find it interesting! Have never thought about it before.

This make-up was done by Zahra on our intern Nour, a perfect eyeliner with wing and maffy false eyelashes, very nice :) She has also used our new eyeshadow palette Rebel Angel.

Start collecting blog material for the holidays
Before, I talked to a beauty blogger who produced so much material that she was several weeks in advance with the blogging, I think it was the end of February then and she had already timed 1 post a day until April haha.

I have never been like that, I am a maximum of one day before, but usually the posts are published immediately when I write them.

Now, however, I have to start preparing in time for Miska has sold her apartment and we have decided to treat ourselves to a trip abroad for 2 weeks in January or February! Waah!

This means, however, that for 2 weeks I will not be able to produce any beauty material for the blog, I have to be a little standby in the company but should really be as free as possible. I have not been free for more than a week since 2014, except when my mother passed away and it was not like resting as well. So it will be absolutely wonderful!

So now I'm going to start collecting some make-up piles, I thought! There will be a lot of hours in the photo studio in the future :)

This is how I sit between every make-up step in my step-by-step collage haha. Sick amounts of coffee harvested inside my photo studio, believe me;)

Great cleaning week at the salon!
This week we have had a major cleaning week at the salon as well. We always clean regularly but some things are difficult during opening hours when we have customers everywhere. So sometimes you need to pull off properly everywhere, on moldings, in drawers, remove all things when dusting the shelves, etc. So during the week, everyone has focused on cleaning and cleaning as soon as they had a gap, which, however, has not been so much . Then after my customers last Saturday, Miska and I stayed after closing and continued the general cleaning!

So I had customers for four hours and cleaned for 4 hours without a single break even to sit down, I felt really good afterwards!

Here I sit and dry moldings :) I wore heels when I had my make-up and eyebrow clients and was so tired in the feet so cleaned in mystop then haha.

Miska also fixed two white boards that it does not attach color to our dressing tables, they have become so stained by lash and brow paint but now it was covered + that paint stains on these boards will then be able to dry off, so nice :)

It's my dad who specially-built the tables for us so we do not want them to be itchy unnecessarily, it's not just throwing away and buying new ones as well.

So now our dressing tables are shiny and clean, it turned out so nice!

I was completely exhausted last night and fell asleep in the living room while the kids told stories to each other and then I slept for over 12 hours! So to sum it up, it has been full roll all week but the energy has been at its peak, then the energy ran out but after a long beauty sleep it is now at its peak again! :)

Now I will spend my free day painting at home in the house and tomorrow is a new work week again.

Have a great Sunday everyone! ♥

Eyebrow & color

I made this transformation at the salon earlier this week:

Fint va? :)

There is a little pigment in the skin like this right after the coloring, but the fact is that they actually became so full with just color! She has so many thin, light straws that are not visible in the pre-image. You can hardly believe that it is the same person I think!

Now I'm going to head to a packed day at the salon :)

Have a great Saturday nice you ♥

Glow on the face - glow Skin Beauty Illuminating Primer

Luminous primers are really one of my favorite products to use on customers with dry or normal skin type, the skin looks so healthy and vibrant when you get a glow on your face! :)

You should be a little aware of the effect of radiance if you have oily skin, but it is nice on just all skin types!

We currently have 3 different luminous highlighters in the range:

Paese Illuminating Primer which is super fine and contains larger shimmer grains, so we recommend it if you want a fairly opaque base makeup over alternatively only in areas where you need more glow. That multi-prima is starting to become a thing just like multi-mask :) that is, you use several different ones on different parts of the face. This one from Paese will, however, be discontinued and is on SALE in the webshop for only SEK 149! Click it home online here before it disappears from the range.

Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer is the other, this one is so nice! It gives radiance without becoming glittery on the skin but still gives a lot of effect. The skin radiates! It gives a lot of glow just like Paese, but does not get as shimmery on the skin so it fits even if you have a light coverage or no coverage at all but just want a nice glow.

In connection with the disappearance of Paeses, we have now brought in a completely new luminous primer that complements the range! glo Skin Beauty Illuminating Primer which gives a slightly more discreet glow than Pixi's primer and it's the one I was going to show you a little closer today :)

good product for luster

Shines on the face with glow Skin Beauty Illuminating Primer

What is glo Skin Beauty Illuminating Primer?
A radiant face primer that evens out the skin and reduces the visibility of wrinkles and fine lines.

Appearance
The primer is completely transparent but has a faint tone to the peach, which enlivens a dull and tired skin without emphasizing redness. Perfect when you feel that the skin looks greyish.

The formula contains light-reflecting pigments that give the skin a beautiful glow without feeling shimmery.

luster in the skin

Here you see the primer applied on the top of my hand, you see the luster much clearer then than if I were to take photos on my porous skin haha :)

Formula & application
The consistency is silky smooth and smooth, lubricate with clean fingers and massage it into the skin so that it enters lines and cavities and fills.

Glow on the face - glow Skin Beauty Illuminating Primer

What skin type is the primer suitable for?
Suitable for all skin tones and skin types but specially developed for normal, dry and mature skin.

I also want to emphasize that on an oily skin, the shine can be emphasized if you have lustrous basic products. So the primer does not make the skin more oily and becomes fine even on an oily skin type, but it can be good to be aware of the effect between luster and oil.

Is the primer good for the skin?
The primer is very moisturizing and caring for the skin and contains, among other things, apricot oil, jojoba oil, vitamin E, vitamin A, castor oil and green tea extract.

Packaging
The primer comes in a practical tube, easy to dose the right amount and easy to squeeze out the last drops when it starts to run out.

We sold out of these types immediately when we received them as news, but now we have refills again! :)

Shout out if you have any questions or if you have other products that give a nice glow on the face! Feel free to tip! :) ♥

Quickly applied full-coverage base

Hi Helena! I was going to order a little from your nice webshop and wonder what you recommend for products for a comprehensive base? I want it to be quick and easy to apply and suit both oily and dry skin as I have a mixed skin. I like the result of comprehensive liquid foundations but think it takes so long to apply. Thanks in advance!"

The fastest foundation to apply is absolute mineral foundation, then you do not need to finish with powder, but when the coverage is complete, you can continue with all coloring products.

It is possible to build up full coverage with just mineral foundation, but for a faster application and more natural results, I recommend priming with a creamy concealer. Then you do not need to put as much foundation for a comprehensive result.

The base also becomes completely matte and is superb for oily skin, if you want more luster it is great to spray on fixing mist and then a highlighter over :)

Here is a step by step:

Another common question is whether it is possible to combine liquid concealer with mineral foundation. It works just fine as long as you put the concealer before the foundation! :)

I have used Pixi Pat Away Concealing Base together with glo Skin Beauty Pressed Base Foundation in the shade Golden Medium in this post!

I have no clear pimples to cover at the time of writing but can certify that the base is comprehensive even on blemishes :)

1. Do your skin care routine and prime with face primer as usual.

In this makeup I have used Pixi Flawless & Poreless primer.

2. Apply concealer under the eyes and on areas that need more coverage. This is very good and easy to spread so it works great even on larger areas such as redness, acne scars, etc.

And then mineral foundation on it and you're done! I love to apply mineral foundation with Nanshy Buffed Base brush, it is compact and at the same time extremely soft so it will be a very even result.

In areas with concealer, I dab on the foundation so as not to spread the concealer more, but in the rest of the face I massage the foundation with circular motions.

Here you see the result! Matte and comprehensive and goes as fast as you like :)

Hugs are!
