Inspirational conversation with Caroline Hirons and Petra - the founder of Pixi

Yesterday I had a real luxury day when I was invited to a press lunch with Pixi at Berns in Stockholm! A really nice press event they had together with Caroline Hirons who has been involved in developing the cleaning Pixi Double Cleanse, which is now one of Pixi's top-selling products.

We talked to Caroline at the dinner table and she told us that it was thanks to her that Pixi Glow Tonic started hyping so much! I am part of the beauty group Beauty and Bullshit on Facebook and in one of the threads people posted pictures of their bathroom cabinets (so the dream to check through!) And I laughed so much that in almost every other bathroom cabinet there was a Pixi Glow Tonic :) So popular product!

And in the goodie bag I got a personal Glow Tonic with my name on, how sweet ♥

Glow Tonic is available at Creativemakeup.se and costs SEK 299, we have not had it in the range for so long (due to a sky-high minimum order for this one) but we have already received a 5-star review from a very satisfied customer that you can read here!

I also sat and talked to Petra, the founder of Pixi (such a wonderful and inspiring person!) And pretty quickly she said "but is it you who is the girl Uppsala who sells so many Pixi products ??”. So viiilken egoboost, this woman has launched Pixi in over 2000 stores in the US alone and is available at Kicks, Eleven, Sephora, Target you name it, and she refers to me as "she who sells so much". Crazy! :)

This autumn the news will come to Sweden and among other things a liquid concealer that I liked immediately when I tested on the hand, and then this morning when I applied it on the face so WOW I just say! I always put the products to the test properly before I decide, but with 99.9% security, this will be one of our best sellers as soon as we get it in the range. I am very picky about concealers but this one is so good!

Will return more more info about news and reviews later.

Hugs are! ♥

Happy makeup tutorial

Today's make-up is another look where I not only made a cat eye shape but also made down a little in the outer corner of the eye (did this a while ago too). I think it gives an invigorating and happy effect, like the effect of a laugh :)

Hope you are inspired, and happy :) ♥

Video - Apply blush with gloMinerals Blush

It is very interesting which products are most in demand in the store compared to the webshop, because it can be very different!

And blush is just such a product that almost every other person wants help with at the salon. Both how to think when applying but also which shade you should choose.

Therefore, I have now made a video with all the tips that we give to our customers at the salon and show gloMinerals three most common shades! Hope you like it :)

The products used in the video are:
Rouge - gloMinerals Blush and I apply the shade Papaya in the film, as well as show and talk and Rosebud and Sweet as well.
Brushes - Nanshy Blush Brush

The blushes that are most popular in our range are without a doubt gloMinerals Blush. They not only have great shades but are also incredibly rich in pigments so you do not need much at all on the brush, which makes it easier when you want an even and nice result.

They are mineral based and contain vitamins A, C and E as well as green tea extract.

I took a swatch picture of the shades so you can see clearly what the shades look like!

Sweet - A light peach shade with a beautiful golden luster. Mild in tone and perfect for you who want a discreet color. Very nice also on top of other blush shades to vary.
Papyapa -
Our customer favorite! A pink color that looks bright in the jar but becomes a soft pink tone on the cheeks.
Rosebud - Cold tone that goes in the rosy, red direction.
Hibiscus - A deeper, murky shade
Sandalwood - A warm, earthy blush shade

Which shade to choose?
One of the most common questions! The answer is different depending on what you are looking for for effect - if you want a tone that "pops" more, you should choose a cold blush if you have a warm skin tone, or vice versa. If, on the other hand, you want a blush that blends into your skin tone, choose a warm blush if you have a warm skin tone, or a cold blush if you have a cold skin tone.

You can also choose different blushes depending on what kind of makeup you have in general, e.g. completely ignore what you have for skin tone and do a make-up in cold tones on both eyes, lips and cheeks. There are no requirements or rules!

Two safe cards if you are unsure are Papaya and Rosebud. They go well with both warm and cold skin tones, papaya is a better choice if you want a color that enlivens a little more while Rosebud is a better choice if you want a shade that blends into the skin tone and becomes more discreet.

Hope the post and video were helpful :)

Makeup consultation before & after

Yesterday I had a makeup consultation ink. products with a girl who has some redness, blemishes, oily skin and also sensitive skin and wants natural products that provide good coverage and are good for the skin.

A difficult match if you do not have good products in the range, it can often be difficult to find base make-up that both removes redness, is gentle on the skin, good for oiliness and gives a natural result - at the same time. But an easy match for me;) and the result was great!

I have used these products:

BASE:

Face primer - Pixi Flawless & poreless
Concealer - gloMinerals Under eye concealer (Golden)
Foundation - gloMinerals Pressed Base Foundation (Golden dark)
Powders that remove redness - gloMinerals Redness Relief Powder
Contouring & highlighter - Pixi Book of beauty contour creator
Rouge - gloMinerals Blush (Papaya)
Fixing mist - Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist
Dehydrating powders - Paese Bamboo Silk Powder

Description:

  1. Massage the primer into the entire face, it evens out pores and keeps the skin matte. It is oil-free and contains willow bark which helps to control shine.
  2. Apply concealer on the blemishes, I first apply them as "dots" and then I tone it into the skin tone. This concealer contains 2 colors, I mixed them for a perfect shade for the blemishes and then I applied the light one alone under the eyes.
  3. Apply foundation, because we put a lot of concealer, so I dabble in the foundation in these areas. I used Nanshy Buffed Base Brush. Because if you massage it in before the concealer is fixed, you can "pull it away" from the pimples.
  4. Red is such an intense color that it likes to shine through, so in order not to have to apply a thick layer of foundation to cover the redness, I dab on thin with gloMinerals Redness relief powder that neutralizes redness, it is so good!
  5. Apply contouring and blush for more shape and life on the face.
  6. Spray fixing mist all over the face, it causes all powder products to melt into the skin and the skin looks more like skin even though it is very matte products.
  7. Finish with soothing powder on areas that become oily during the day. We just swiped in the T-zone.

EYES:

Eyeshadow Primer - Pixi eye bright primer
Eyeshadows - Paese Opal Eyeshadow (Colorado)
Light eyeliner along the waterline - gloMinerals Eye Pencil (Peach)
Eyeliner with wing– Kryolan HD Cream Liner (Ebony)
Mascara - Magnetic lash mascara

Description:

  1. Start with primer for a pigment-rich and lasting result.
  2. Apply the brown eye shadow on the entire eyelid and globe line
  3. Apply light shadow in the corner of the eye and towards the eye, and then a little in the middle of the eyelid. This creates more life and shape on the eye and gives nice shifts
  4. Fade the edges.
  5. Apply brown shadow at the end of the lower lash line and "tie together" in the outer corner of the eye.
  6. Place the medium light shade in the middle of the lower lash line and the light one at the bottom of the lower lash line
  7. Make lashliner and eyeliner with wing
  8. Light up the waterline with a light eyeliner
  9. Finish with mascara, we just put on the lashes for a more lifting effect on the eye.

LIPS:

Lipstick -  gloMinerals Suede Matte Crayon (Trademark)

A matte lipstick in a neutral "lip color" that holds well on the lips and is a perfect everyday lipstick.

EYEBROW:

Eyebrow pencil and brow gel - Pixi natural brow duo (Natural Brown)

She plucked and dyed my eyebrows from me about a week ago. They were pretty bright before so it made a huge difference! So full-bodied and fine. A little brow pencil and brow gel on it will be the finishing touch, but above all, the brow pencil will be worth it when the brow color starts to drop.

Here is a close-up of the eyebrows right after I colored them a week ago.

Hope you were inspired!
