Makeup Consultation & Alopecia

Here are before and after pictures of a make-up consultation I did last Saturday :)

It's a girl with alopecia who did an eyebrow tattoo at Annika's a year ago, so she only has a few lashes and eyebrows. We did a light and natural make-up that highlights her features and opens up the gaze nicely!

BASE:

Face primer - Pixi Flawless & poreless
Foundation - Pixi H2O Skintint (1 Cream)
Powders that remove redness - gloMinerals Redness Relief Powder
Contouring & highlighter - Pixi Book of beauty contour creator
Rouge - gloMinerals Blush (Papaya)
Fixing mist - Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist

We started with a face primer that is debilitating for oily skin. She is actually dry in the skin but also becomes shiny after a while, which is not entirely uncommon when you are dry, then the skin produces sebum to soften itself. I then recommend skin care for dry skin but makeup for oily skin.

After that a gel foundation that is water resistant and oil free. Then redness relief powder that removes redness and contouring and highlighter (both matte highlighter and with luster) and a rosy blush on the cheeks.

Redness Relief Powder is a super good product for her that easily flares up and turns red, she will get married in a month and would kind of bathe in this powder and have it all over the cleavage and neck on the big day :) It gives no coverage without neutralizes redness. She was not so red when we put on make-up (because it usually flares up when she blushes or is hot) so to show how effective it is, I applied it to the ear which was quite red. You can actually see this in the left ear in the before and after pictures above.

We finished with fixing mist that makes the makeup hold better.

EYEBROW:

Eyebrow Pencil– Pixi natural brow duo (Natural Brown)

We also filled in the brows even though she has a tattoo. The darkness you want when you are not wearing make-up is not always the same as you want when you are wearing make-up. But it is so quick to fill in on people who have tattooed eyebrows, just following the shape that you know is completely symmetrical :)

I filled in mostly at the top and bottom of the brows, and just super thin in the middle. Because I wanted the hair technique from the tattoo to shine through. Hard to see in the picture but it turned out really nice in reality.

EYES:

Eyeshadow Primer - Pixi eye bright primer
Eyeshadows - Paese Opal Eyeshadow (Melba
Light eyeliner along the waterline - gloMinerals Eye Pencil (Peach)
Eyeliner with wing– Kryolan HD Cream Liner (Ebony)
Mascara - Magnetic lash mascara

We did an intensive lashliner / lash marking that frames the eyes even though she does not have as many eyelashes. The eye shadows are light and go in light yellow, light pink and light brown and have a nice glow. Summery, natural and brightens up the look!

Lipstick -  gloMinerals Suede Matte Crayon (Demure)

Teal eyeliner makeup

A tip that I have written several times - but worth repeating - is that if you want to make a wide eyeliner wing, it will be much easier if you make a smoky eyeliner. It is partly crazy nice but also a much faster and easier way than getting two razor-sharp symmetrical wings with a liquid product.

Here is a step-by-step description of how I made a smoky eyeliner with a narrow turquoise micro-eyeliner pen from gloMinerals which is also available in black, gray and brown. And then I pimped the eyeliner with a little yellow tones at the end too;)

Hope you are inspired!

Bassmink:
Face primer - Paese Makeup Base (Matte)
Concealer - gloMinerals Under Eye Concealer (beige)
Foundation - gloMinerals Pressed Base Foundation (Golden Medium)
Contouring & highlighter - Pixi Contour Creator
Rouge - Paese Powder Blush (35)
Fixing mist - Pixi makeup fixing mist
Net matting powder - Paese Bamboo Silk Powder

Brynpenna - gloMinerals Micro Brow Liner (Dark Brown on the outside and Light brown on the inside)

Lipstick - gloMinerals Sude Matte Crayon (Demure)

A soft make-up that is technically not that difficult to do if you have good products - but which really highlights the eyes nicely :)

The eyeliner is gloMinerals Micro Eyeliner Pencil in the shade Teal.

  1. Paint the eyeliner along the top lash line as close to the lashes as possible
  2. Paint wider in the middle of the eye and outwards. Here you can be lighter on the hand so that it does not become a very sharp edge
  3. Use a compact small and rounded brush and fade the edges, Nanshy Pencil brush
  4. Begin shaping the eyeliner by drawing a line from the outer corner of the eye outwards
  5. Look straight ahead and fill in the wing so that it looks even and nice even though you are looking
  6. Tie the eyeliner wing together with what you painted on the lash line.
  7. Yellow eye shadow on the inside of the eyelid and over the eyeliner, Paese Neo eyeshadow (662)
White eye shadow in the corner of the eye and a little on the yellow over the eyeliner, Paese cashmere (601)
Purple eye shadow on the lower lash line, I made a little wider in the middle of the eye, Paese opal eyeshadow trio (vanilla chocolate)
  8. Black mascara on the upper lashes, Magnetic lash mascara

Clear!

Wish you a wonderful day ♥

Yellow summer makeup (Yellow makeup step by step)

I have probably never received so many compliments for a make-up that I received from all customers at the salon for this one. Great fun really!

I also think it is very nice, but not so different from what I usually do. But I think many people like it because it is light = easy to enjoy even if you do not usually put on so much make-up otherwise. At the same time as it is very loud and nice so that it stands out without being "maffig" in any way. And eyeliner with wing, you often get compliments for that too :) Or what do you think?

Hope you like the make-up you too ♥

Bassmink:
Face primer - Paese Makeup Base (Matte)
Concealer - gloMinerals Under Eye Concealer (beige)
Foundation - gloMinerals Pressed Base Foundation (Golden Medium)
Contouring & highlighter - Pixi Contour Creator
Rouge - Paese Powder Blush (35)
Fixing mist - Pixi makeup fixing mist
Net matting powder - Paese Bamboo Silk Powder

Brynpenna - gloMinerals Micro Brow Liner (Dark Brown)

Lips - Lip pencil on the entire lips, Benecos Natural Lip Liner (Brown) and a little red lipstick at the edges, gloMinerals Suede Matte Crayon (Bombshell)

The pink lashes are not mascara in fact, but a lipstick is amazing! And not only that, it kept completely flawless all day and evening as well. Tip!

  1. Eyeshadow primer, Pixi eye bright primer
Yellow eye shadow on the entire eyelid, Paese Neo Eyeshadow (662)
Applied with Nanshy tapered Crease brush
  2. White eye shadow on the inside of the eyelid, Paese cashmere eyeshadow (601)
    Applied with Nanshy pencil brush
  3. Black eyeshadow as smoky eyeliner with wing, Paese Kashmir eyeshadow (602)
Yellow eye shadow along the lower lash line
White eye shadow at the bottom of the lower lash line and under the eyeliner
  4. Pink lipstick on the lower lashes, gloMinerals Suede Matte Crayon (Sorbet)
  5. Black mascara on the upper lashes, Magnetic lash mascara

Review - Blowpro Faux Dry Shampoo

In December 2014, I wrote a review on the dry shampoo Blowpro Faux Dry Shampoo, and even though I have already reviewed it, I think 1. that it is worth rewriting and 2. that I have some updated opinions about the one that I am happy to share with me off.

When I tested it several years ago, I liked it a lot but still did not get completely fixed, since then it has been in my product collection and collected dust.

Now, however, I have started using it again! Actually only because I did not want spray bottles with me when I went abroad as spray bottles have a tendency to leak from the pressure in airplanes. Then this was perfect I thought and since then I have continued to use it as I suddenly think it is so heavenly smart :)

If any of you have tested it (or similar packaging), it would be great to hear your opinions about the packaging and this type of dry shampoo that is not a classic spray!

What is Blowpro Faux Dry Shampoo?
Most dry shampoos on the market today are in spray form, you can say that this is a mixture between spray and "Dust It powder" that you dab on the scalp as a spice jar type. But with this you spray by pressing in the middle of the bottle and "puffing out" powder, so the bottle does not have any kind of liquid or propellant.

It should give a freshly washed feeling and volume, and costs about 125 kronor but seems to be sold out in principle everywhere in Sweden. On nordstrom.com you can easily order to Sweden, however a little more expensive there, but according to Blowpro's website, it does not seem to have been removed from the range or anything like that so it will probably be in stock again and then it is available at HERE. On Blowpro's website you will also see one Film on how it is used! However, I use much more and much faster than her in the movie haha :)

Here is my review!

Positively:
♥ I like the principle with the bottle, that you do not have to pay for any kind of liquid or gas, but get what you pay for - that is, the powder. In addition, many spray bottles can have more gas than powder (or how it now works in there) so you think you have dry shampoo left but there will only be spray and no powder. But with this bottle, you know exactly when it is about to run out and not.

♥ I also like that it is fragrance-free, everything today has added fragrances that you mix anyway, so it is nice to have at least one product that does not smell. In addition, many dry shampoos have a tendency to have a strong scent that many do not like, but you can avoid this! It is nice to have a fresh scent in the hair when you have not washed it for a while - but you can have a mild mist or similar instead.

♥ It gives a freshly washed feeling (and appearance of course) that is not felt at all in the hair, perfect for you who do not like the harsh feeling that many dry shampoos give!

♥ I also think that the hair stays matte longer than with dry shampoo with regular spray. I think it's because you get more powder at once with this than when you use spray. More powder = matte longer. You can also puff out very little powder as well, you do not have to use as much as I do :)

♥ It is quick to get very, very oily hair to become completely matte, without having to stand and spray the world's largest gas cloud for an eternity as with a regular spray.

♥ It lasts super long! I have always wanted to buy type XXXL size on my dry shampoo bottles because they run out all the time when you have as oily hair as I have. I always feel I have to be stingy. But this has lasted for any length of time.

Negative:
x
For me, it took a while to get the cuts in with the bottle. At first I thought it was difficult to distribute evenly throughout the hair and that you do not really know where to "spray". And then you have to shake the bottle after almost every puff for powder to come. And then I had trouble not getting powder on my clothes because powder came out when I shook. But now I think the packaging is really good! The only thing that is still a small minus is that you have to shake it often but otherwise it works just fine.

x My hair did not get as much volume as I had hoped for, that detail can be a plus for many who do not want a lot of volume, but for me it will be a minus as it says volume-giving in the product description. If you compare with how flat the hair is when it is frizzy, it obviously gives volume as it suddenly becomes airy, but I would not say that it gives the same volume as other volumizing dry shampoos.

x It is positive that there is a lot of powder at once (as I wrote in the good points above) but it also results in that after a few days you have a lot of powder in the hair and it is very irritating to my scalp. Do not know if there is any powder you can have such a large amount of on the scalp without it irritating (?) Because it can depend on the amount and not the ingredients, I think. But it's a small problem anyway. I have very sensitive scalp for dry shampoo should be added, there are few (but not many) that I can use without itching after 2-3 days.

What I like about the cork is that you close it by turning, perfect for me who always neglects all corks!

I wonder if the person who made the pictures for the description on the bottle and the person who wrote the text did not really talk to each other haha. Because I think that picture 1 means that you should shake the bottle, because you have to, but it only says that you should keep the bottle upright, which is so logical that you would not have to write it;)

Summary - I recommend this dry shampoo for you who want an airy and freshly washed feeling with a little volume (but not much) and who think it is nice to avoid spray clouds and strong scents. Especially if you have very oily hair that I have and need to use a lot of dry shampoo for great effect. It gets a 4/5 rating when I would say that the packaging could have been snapped even better so that you do not have to "get the cuts" but think it is good at once.

A package like this with the same principle but a slightly better bottle + and a formula that is milder against my itchy scalp - then it would have had a full pot!

Would be fun to hear more opinions about this, if you tested it or read others who reviewed it. Hugs are ♥

Hello!

Here are two fun eyebrow transformations I have done at the salon recently :)

This customer had completely unpicked eyebrows before except at the bottom of the nose where she cleaned a little herself. I recommended that she save them a little closer to the nose but instead cut if it feels too bushy and bushy. If she gets her eyebrows a little longer, they will frame her eyes even more.

The result after both picking and coloring was great anyway! A well-shaped and lifting shape that is still wide and natural. We also dyed the eyelashes.

Here you see close-ups of the same eyebrow.

This customer was so funny! Basically completely unpicked eyebrows and super light straws on both eyebrows and lashes. What a difference! And what eyelashes, so full and nice :)

And here is a close-up of the transformation. She had super dense eyebrows so they became really full when we dyed. And the eyelashes became carbon black and long!

Today I will actually be free from the salon - because it's my birthday woop woop! :) 24 years!

I, who turns one in the middle of summer, have never been to school on my birthday and last year was the first time I worked that day. But this year I took the freedom to be free actually, if you only have 1 week of vacation, I think you can treat yourself to it;) So now it will be cake and cuddle with family and friends ♥

Hugs are!
