Today's look - Lipstick as eye shadow

Today's make - up was really summery and nice, I really like the color combination!

The eye shadow I have used on the eyelid is not an eye shadow but a matte lipstick actually. I used it partly because I love the color but also just to see if it works. It's like the best way to match eye makeup and lip makeup;) and sometimes I love certain lip colors so much that I almost want them all over my face haha!

The bottom line is that it went better than expected, both the application, the result and the durability. It did not keep flawless only until the evening, but if I had not remembered to look in the mirror before I washed it off, I would not have noticed that it did not look freshly made up, so it certainly did not look remarkably bad. It remained nice on the whole eyelid but right in the globe line it was a small crease. So I was happy but there is nothing I recommend to have right in the globe line, but on the lower part of the eyelid absolutely :)

Hope you like the makeup too!

Eyebrow plucking & coloring

Look what a nice eyebrow transformation I did last week:

She was really just going to pick the eyebrows but I also recommended color which she was very happy about later. Then I could dye the light fjun straws at the highest point and make a shape that really lifts the eye.

Fint va? :)

Smokey eyeliner tutorial

One of the most common makeup questions I get is from people who find it difficult to make a nice eyeliner with a wing. Or not really questions but rather comments that they want to know, too many do not even ask for tips because they have tested so much that they have already given up hope hehe.

Just eyeliner wing IS not very simple in many eye shapes, I myself had a very hard time with it before and only put on make-up with a wing if I was just going to be home (confession time) haha. My eye shape is not difficult but not simple either. But practice makes perfect and now I have eyeliner wing very often!

But if I only give one tip to everyone, it is to make a smoky eyeliner with a wing. It is SO beautiful and SO much easier than a sharp eyeliner :)

Here is a tutorial make-up on this!

Bassmink:
Face primer - Paese Makeup Base (Matte)
Concealer - gloMinerals Under Eye Concealer (beige)
Foundation - gloMinerals Pressed Base (Golden Medium)
Highlighter (matt) - Paese Kashmir Eyeshadow (667)
Contouring - Paese Bronzing powder (1m)
Rouge - Paese Powder Blush (35)
Fixing mist - Pixi makeup fixing mist

Brynpenna - gloMinerals Micro Brow Liner (Dark Brown)

Lip pencil - Benecos Natural Lip Liner (Brown)
Tiny colored lip balm - Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm (Ripe Raspberry)

Are you starting to get tired of using the Ripe Raspberry Lip Balm so much? I have probably never been so obsessed with a lip product as much as I am of this, it has type every day it is both super nice and super nice :)

Making such a wide and long eyeliner wing would have been quite difficult on my eyes if it had not been sooted, because it is so wide that it is painted on the folds of skin on the eyelid. But with a black eye shadow and smoky edges, it was not only easy but also very fast!

When you make an eyeliner sharp, it is immediately visible if it is a little uneven or if it is "broken" by the skin folds at the edges of the eyes. But a smoky blends in much better and it is also easier to adjust the symmetry and "work out" a perfect eyeliner.

What do you need:

How to use:

  1. Eyeshadow primer on the entire eyelid
    - Fix the primer with powder on most of the eyelid, but not down at the lash line where the eyeliner is to be painted.
    - Draw a line with the eye shadow from the outer corner of the eye and outwards
  2. Apply the eyeshadow along the entire upper lash line, fairly wide.
  3. Shape the eye shadow like a wing at the outer edge
  4. Fade out with a rounded brush (it is possible with an oblique one as well, but takes longer, the rounded one should be quite small, however, to get good precision)
  5. Light eye shadow in the corner of the eye, Paese Diamond Trio Eyeshadow
  6. Black mascara on the upper lashes and the outer lower lashes, gloMinerals Water Resistant Mascara

Clear!

Hope you liked the makeup and my tips! :)

Rebel Makeup Look (Step by step makeup)

I actually did the day's make-up in the evening after work, which I almost regretted a bit because I felt very cool-looking in it so it was a bit of a shame to wash it off immediately without having "used it" haha.

Before, when I always worked from home, I never thought so, I would have used the make-up if I had photographed it. But now that I work in the salon every day, that mindset is starting to change a bit :)

Hope you like the look too!

Bassmink:
Face primer - Paese Makeup Base (Matte)
Concealer - gloMinerals Under Eye Concealer (beige)
Foundation - gloMinerals Pressed Base (Golden Medium)
Highlighter (matt) - Paese Kashmir Eyeshadow (667)
Contouring - Paese Bronzing powder (1m)
Rouge - Paese Powder Blush (35)
Fixing mist - Pixi makeup fixing mist

Brynpenna - gloMinerals Micro Brow Liner (Dark Brown)
Lipstick - The same pencil on the eyebrows is amazing! Not the best formula for the lips, I have to tab in, but turned out very nice anyway :)

All eye shadows except the white are from the 3 palette Pur Minerals Perfect Fit Eye Shadow Trio (adlink) in the shade Rebel. So nice shades really!

The eyeshadow brush I apply (and fade out) the eyeshadows with in the pictures is Nanshy Tapered Crease, best multi-brush!

  1. Eyeshadow primer, Pixi eye bright primer
Burgundy / purple eye shadow on the inside of the eyelid
  2. Light pink eye shadow in the middle of the eyelid
  3. Dark gray-purple eye shadow at the end of the eyelid and along the globe line
  4. Fade the edges
  5. Burgundy / purple eye shadow in the fade on the dark and smoky in a more cat eye shape
  6. Dark gray-purple eye shadow at the end of the lower lash line, applied with Nanshy Angled Detailer Brush
  7. Burgundy / purple eye shadow on the rest of the lower lash line
  8. White eye shadow in the middle of the eyelid, the middle of the lower lash line and in the corner of the eye, Paese cashmere eyeshadow (601)
  9. Black eyeliner with wing, Paese Liquid Eyeliner
And more white eye shadow over the eyeliner wing
  10. Pink mascara on the inner lower lashes, 3ina The Color Mascara
Black mascara on the rest of the lashes, Magnetic Lash Mascara

The holiday make-up

During the holidays, I indulged in something that only beauty bloggers (I think) see as luxury, the rest of you will probably not get any recognition factor haha.

Since I did not take any looks for the blog, I indulged in using products that are no longer available for purchase! I have so many great products that have been in a limited edition collection or similar. I usually do not want to use them because it is so boring to show products in the blog that you can not buy, but now I took the opportunity to enjoy myself in all that :)

I actually put on make-up every night, but it turned out to be very simple make-up anyway and I only had eye makeup one of the evenings. The rest was a mix of slightly different base products and lipsticks and I basically looked like this almost every night:

1. Coverage
Colored day cream and concealer, no more coverage than that. And powder! My oily skin can not have cream products in heat without powder over, then it looks like I am melting :)

2. Color & face shape
Contouring and blush, it highlights the tan so nicely and makes the whole face come alive

3. Eyebrows
Kind of a must for me not to feel naked haha. I have my tattoo, but with base make-up it gets a little messy.

4. Lips
Lips are so quick to make and really make the whole look feel neat and nice. I had a few different lipsticks on the trip but red lips were standard most evenings. Then I improved with a dark pink colored lip balm only after I had eaten.

On this holiday remake make-up I did the day after we got home, I used these products:

Coverage
Semi-covering foundation - Pixi H2O Skintint (2 Nude)
Concealer -  gloMinerals Under Eye Concealer (beige)
Powder - Paese Bamboo Silk Powder

Color & Face shape
Contouring - Pixi book of beauty Contour Creator
Rouge - gloMinerals Blush (Papaya)

Eyebrows - gloMinerals Micro Brow Liner (Dark Brown)

Lips
Lip pencil - Benecos Natural Lip Liner (Brown)
Colored lip balm - Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm (Ripe Raspberry)

Everything you need for a durable, fast and fine make-up that emphasizes the tan (if you want) while at the same time feeling a little holiday-luxurious compared to being completely unmade-up.

Then I have colored eyelashes and eye tattoos too but;)

Here you see this look on one of my holiday photos from the trip, with my new favorite garment that I bought at a hippie market as well, the world's most beautiful jumpsuit! :)

Hugs are! ♥
