Here is a balsam makeup that I did on a customer at the salon a while ago, she was so pleased and happy! :) She basically does not make up herself at all, so for her the transformation was huge, great fun!

She has also done hair styling with us, forgot to take photos from the side but there are two very nice braids on the sides that Lisa has made.

Here is the result:

We made a natural base with glow and rosy cheeks, shaped the eyebrows (they are the ones that make the biggest difference, I think!) And on the eyes we lit up and highlighted without the look getting too dark.

BASE:

Face primer - Pixi Flawless & poreless
Foundation - Pixi H2O Skintint (1 Cream)
Powders that remove redness - gloMinerals Redness Relief Powder
Contouring & highlighter - Pixi Book of beauty contour creator
Rouge - gloMinerals Blush (Papaya)
Fixing mist - Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist

We started with a face primer that is debilitating for oily skin. After that a gel foundation that is water resistant. Then redness relief powder that removes redness and contouring and highlighter (both matte highlighter and with luster) and a rosy blush on the cheeks.

We finished with fixing mist.

Eyebrow pencil and brow gel - Pixi natural brow duo (Natural Brown)

We filled in the eyebrows with a brow pencil that is shaped like a triangle (gives a very soft filling) and brow gel with a little color. We put a little extra in the highest points to raise the eyebrows more, especially on one side that was a little lower.

A soft eye makeup that highlights and brightens up the look :)

EYES:

Eyeshadow Primer - Pixi eye bright primer
Eyeshadows - Paese Opal Eyeshadow (Colorado)
Light eyeliner along the waterline - gloMinerals Eye Pencil (Peach)
Eyeliner with wing– Kryolan HD Cream Liner (Ebony)
Mascara - Magnetic lash mascara

We did not make a wide eyeliner but only an intense lashliner / lash marking, so that as much as possible can be seen by the eye shadow on the eyelid.

Lipstick - gloMinerals Suede Matte Crayon (Monogram)

The eye shadows are not glittery but have a very nice glow and give a beautiful glow to the eyes.

True Red - Lip pencil

I really like IsaDora's Sculpting lip series with lipsticks and lipsticks in the same shade and today I thought I would show you the lip pencil + Lipstick True Red in that series!

When I was going to press breakfast on Thursday, I left home at 05.30 (life of a commuter) and therefore could not get up earlier than necessary. So what did I do? Well I put on base make-up with mineral foundation (goes so fast!), A red dress and red lips.

Be smart and ready in a few minutes! :)

1. Mark the lip contour with the lip pencil
2. Tune in the lip pencil so that it is not a little sharp
3. Apply the lipstick, you can apply the whole lips but I think it is enough in the middle when you still have the lip pencil at the edges.

Then it's ready! :)

The lipstick is creamy so it disappears a lot when you eat and drink, but it is easy to improve and the lip pencil at the edges fits very well so you only need to improve quickly in the middle of the lips.

Tropical eyeliner

I have received a press release on IsaDora's summer collection Blue Bliss and today's make-up is done with eyeliner pencils, mascara and lipstick from that look :) Love the colors!

I think the eyeliner pencils are great, however, I am not particularly impressed with the mascaras and lipstick. The mascaras are so wet and heavy on the lashes so even though I bent the lashes before, they are heavenly straight, I usually do not have problems with it otherwise. The lipstick is very nice but the matte formula is very uncomfortable on the lips I think. But sustainable!

Press breakfast with Pixiwoo, gala & wedding!

Hi fine ni!

As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I was at a press breakfast with Real Techniques and Pixiwoo with Sam and Nic Chapman. Very inspiring indeed!

Sam & Nic told briefly about their story, how they started with Youtube and their makeup brush brand. What I as an entrepreneur myself thought was interesting was that they also talked a bit about how everything goes with the production, that they design and test all brushes themselves and that they look a lot at Korea (which is at the forefront of the beauty front) and take a lot of trends from there .

They are sooo beautiful! :)

I actually have a thing on g that makes me get a little extra inspired by successful entrepreneurs right now;) I can not reveal too much (always just as boring when people say so huh? Haha) but I can probably say so much that I have started working with researchers (!) regarding the development of a specific product with an ingredient that is completely unique. Yes you hear, this can be big!

But I want to emphasize that it really is in the starting pits, but now I will actually start working with them more formally as a side item next to the salon and webshop so it feels great :) I had a meeting for over 2 hours with them the day before yesterday and it felt real successful ♥

At the time of writing, I am sitting and working from home before I start getting ready for tonight's gala at Cirkus - NYX Nordic Face Awards! Gonna be so much fun!

I have a completely packed weekend with gala and wedding which I think is a nice escape right now as today is exactly one year since my mother passed away .. I was good at processing and not shutting down the emotions immediately when it had happened but now I'm starting to end up more in escape thoughts I feel. I suppressed Mother's Day and did not say congratulations to anyone, not to Grandma or anyone else who is a mother. And now I'm trying to stay busy this hard weekend too.

No now I will start with my long to-do list before I start creating magic in front of the makeup mirror :)

This morning I was at a press breakfast with Real Techniques and Pixiwoo with Sam and Nic Chapman, great fun!

There I met the wonderful beauty blogger Pixijasmine.com who received several compliments (from me among others) for his nice colors on the eye shadow. And she then said "color is the best trick when you are tired" and explained that it was a super quick and easy make-up that she did because she actually did not have the strength to put on make-up, but still wanted to be summery and smart.

And there she put her head on the nail, I think, color can really be a good quick shortcut to a nice make-up that enlivens the whole look :)
